Right now, Nadia was resting her face against Mikaâs chest, legs wrapped securely around his waist, her body molded perfectly against him.
Her eyes were half-closed in pure contentment, like a cat who had finally found the warmest spot on her masterâs lap.
A soft, blissful sigh escaped her lips. For the first time in what felt like years, she looked truly peacefulâlike this was the safest, most perfect place in the entire world.
Mika, however, was not feeling quite so wholesome.
His gaze kept drifting downward, admiring the way her slender waist narrowed dramatically before flaring out into those wide, generous hips.
He could easily wrap both hands around that tiny waist, yet the contrast was breathtakingâthe way her body curved so invitingly, so perfectly built for carrying children, for being held, for being claimed.
And right now, that fat, juicy bottom of hers was spread across his lap, pressing down with warm, heavy softness that made his breath catch.
Even through her clothes, he could feel the plush give of her flesh, the way it yielded so invitingly under his thighs.
Mika was in utter disbelief at the contrast.
Mother and daughter really were alike, he realized.
Just like Astrid, Nadia had a very slender, almost fragile-looking upper body. He remembered you could practically see her ribs through her skin because of how lean she was.
But when it came to her breasts and butt, they were completely overabundantâfull and soft and absolutely mesmerizing.
He could feel that softness pressing against him right now, warm and yielding.
It was almost too much.
He wanted nothing more than to grab that ass with both hands, spread it apart, and ravage her right here and now. The hunger in his eyes was unmistakable.
His hands twitched, fingers inching forwardâ
But he stopped himself with a deep, controlled breath.
âNot yet.â He reminded himself. âNot yet, Mika.â
He already had plans. A careful path to tame Nadia completelyâto make her look at him in a way that went far beyond motherly affection.
The momentum was building perfectly. He could already sense the subtle shifts in her emotions, the confusion, the warmth, the forbidden curiosity she was trying to bury.
There would be a pivotal moment soon, and he couldnât afford to rush it.
âStill...just a gentle caress wouldnât hurt, right? â
He could pretend he was simply adjusting her position, lifting her slightly to make her more comfortable...
His hand began to slide downwardâ
But before he could reach her, Nadia suddenly pulled back.
Mika quickly yanked his hands away, guilty for a split second, but she didnât seem to notice. Instead, she had a curious, almost hopeful look on her face.
"I totally forgot about this for a second." She said, voice soft but eager. "But now I really want to know."
"How exactly did you know about the daughters of all those officials, Mika?"
"How did you know they belonged to those parties? And not only thatâhow did you get all that evidence so quickly?"
She tilted her head, eyes sparkling with genuine fascination.
"I mean, it would make sense if I had given you days or even weeks to gather information. But I only gave you an hour to prepare. So...how?"
Mika leaned back slightly, a small, proud smile tugging at his lips. He could feel the subtle pride swelling in his chest at her curiosity.
"Oh, thatâs not that big of a deal, Nadia."
He paused for effect before revealing,
"All those daughters I mentionedâtheyâre actually all my close friends."
This completely caught Nadia off guard.
"What?" She said, genuinely surprised. "What do you mean by that?"
Mika gently corrected her posture and started caressing her thighsâthough Nadia didnât seem to mind, too focused on listening to his explanation.
"To tell you the truth..." He began. "...a couple of years ago, I was quite bored. I wanted to go out and have some adventures, experience new things."
"So I traveled from realm to realm and integrated myself with various parties and movements that were opposing their local governments or hierarchies."
He smiled at the memory.
"You might not know this, but people who actively oppose existing power structures tend to be quite interesting and passionate. They have unique experiences and perspectives. Theyâre fascinating to talk to. So I sought out such groups wherever I went and became close with many of them."
Hearing this, Nadia was surprisedâthis was the first time she was learning about this particular period of Mikaâs life. Heâd never mentioned it before.
But at the same time, it made perfect sense.
Mika was someone who was always doing something. He never stayed in one place, never remained idle.
He was constantly involved in strange or interesting projectsâexploring realms, searching for artifacts, conducting unusual experiments, or befriending all sorts of different people.
Normally, Nadia might have questioned how heâd managed to get so close to secretive opposition groups that would naturally be cautious about outsiders.
But then she realizedâthis was Mika she was talking about.
Mika had a certain irresistible charm. He was extraordinarily friendly and charismatic.
He could probably walk up to the conservative officials in this very room right now and become their close friends within minutes, despite having just threatened them.
That was simply how gifted he was at connecting with people.
So it made complete sense.
She nodded understanding while Mika continued his explanation.
"In those meetings and gatherings." He went on, his tone thoughtful. "I naturally met the daughters of all the officials we discussed today."
He smiled slightly.
"You might not realize this, but girls who have very strict, controlling fathers tend to rebel. They donât want anything to do with their fathersâ values or political positions."
"Thatâs why so many of those daughters ended up in parties that directly opposed what their fathers stood for."
He shrugged.
"In a way, you could say the fathers were directly responsible for pushing their daughters toward these movements. But Iâm not complainingâit was good that these young women were finding their own voices and developing independent spirits."
This resonated deeply with Nadia.
In a way, her own daughter was similarâthough Astrid wasnât rebelling just to spite her mother. She had her own genuine reasons for opposing Nadiaâs work.
A gloomy look briefly crossed Nadiaâs face at this thought, but it quickly disappeared as Mika continued.
"During that time, I became quite close with all those daughters." He explained. "We spent a decent amount of time together, became genuine friends. Thatâs how I know so much about them and their activities."
He grinned like he had fooled the entire world.
"In fact, those photos you saw displayed in the hallâthose were all pictures I took myself during our time together."
"I had them on my phone the whole time. It was incredibly easy to produce what everyone assumed was damning evidenceâwhen really, they were just vacation photos and party pictures of me hanging out with friends."
Nadia couldnât help but find this amusing.
The other officials, seeing those photos, had immediately assumed Mika had gathered serious intelligence through investigation.
Theyâd thought it was Nadiaâs doing, that sheâd been secretly monitoring them.
But really, they were just friendly group photos from Mikaâs social life.
It was actually quite hilarious when she thought about it.
But then she realized something concerning and frowned.
"Wait, Mika." She said with worry in her voice. "Even though you didnât actually produce serious evidence or anything criminal, you still showed those photos publicly."
"Now all the fathers know what their daughters are involved in. And once word gets out beyond this room, wonât those daughters and the organizations themselves suffer consequences? Wonât they be punished for this exposure?"
But Mika didnât seem bothered at all.
"Donât worry about that, Nadia." He said reassuringly. "All the girls I mentioned have actually been wanting their involvement to be publicly known for a long time."
"They wanted to be openly associated with these movements, but their fathers always suppressed and hid that information. It frustrated them greatly."
He smiled, glancing toward where the various officials were slowly returning from their break.
"But now..." He said with satisfaction. "...their fathers have no choice but to acknowledge their daughtersâ true affiliations. It can no longer be kept hiddenâeveryone knows now."
Nadia nodded, understanding dawning.
"As for the organizations themselves." Mika continued. "Theyâve always wanted greater visibility and recognition. They wonât mind this exposure at allâif anything, theyâll feel encouraged that theyâve been thrust onto a much larger platform."
"Theyâll be excited to see their names in media outlets and newspapers everywhere."
He chuckled.
"Itâs basically free publicity for them to advance their causes."
Then he quickly added, with a touch of genuine concern.
"Though I do feel slightly guilty for taking advantage of those friendships and using them this way. So Iâll help push their movements forward even more in the future to make up for what I did today."
Hearing this, Nadia paused for a moment, a thoughtful expression crossing her face.
As a diplomat, she was of course aware that such opposition movements existed across various realms.
And honestly, sheâd always been quietly supportive of themâthey all had positive influences on their societies, pushing for progress and justice. Sheâd wanted them to succeed.
But for years, their progress had been extremely limited.
The ruling conservative parties had always suppressed them effectively, making it nearly impossible for them to grow or express themselves publicly.
However, something had changed about three or four years ago.
There had been a sudden, dramatic uprising.
All those parties that had previously been so underground and marginalized had begun emerging more prominently.
Their influence had started spreading rapidly, their membership growing exponentially.
No one could understand how it was happening, since nothing like it had occurred before. But somehow these movements were gaining members, expanding their reach, building real power.
It had absolutely infuriated the conservative leadership across multiple realms.
And Nadia herself had been puzzled about how theyâd managed to grow so dramatically in such a short time.
But now, looking at Mika and hearing his words, everything suddenly clicked into place.
