"Ah? Why?" Zeng Tao asked, somewhat puzzled.
"Those things are fixed above," Xu Xin replied, "Theyāre part of the castle."
He felt this way and was very confident in his feeling.
Again, a sense of familiarity.
He always felt like he had been here before.
Everything here felt very familiar to him.
Extremely familiar.
"Part of the castle? Impossible, right?" Zeng Tao was a bit skeptical, wanting to go and take a look but hesitated, so he clutched Xu Xinās arm, "Donāt just head to the third floor, letās go check it out, maybe youāre mistaken!"
"Let me take a look." Jin Yue pushed off the ground lightly and jumped across.
She really believed what Xu Xin said.
Xu Xin said there was no danger here, so to her, there was no danger.
Besides, after everything sheād gone through, she didnāt fear death; dying... well, then she dies.
Fortunately, even though her leap almost spanned half of the second floor, it didnāt trigger any traps, allowing the few who watched her move and were startled to breathe a sigh of relief.
"How is it? Can you pick it up?" Lou FeiāEr shouted over.
"No." Jin Yue shook her head, "These things are indeed part of the castle."
"Ah? The tables and chairs too?"
"Yes."
The situation was just as Xu Xin anticipated, and he laughed, "I told you so, itās best to give up; even with our current abilities, we canāt destroy even the fine crystal chair legs."
"Alright..." Zeng Tao reluctantly gave up, somewhat dejected, "What is this? This Crystal Palace is so grand, yet thereās nothing here! Isnāt this supposed to be someoneās underground tomb? How come there are no treasures?"
"Underground tomb?" Xu Xin, Lou FeiāEr, and Shi Wanyun all turned to look at her.
"Did you say itās an underground tomb?" Lou FeiāEr frowned and asked.
"Ah... Ah?" Zeng Tao was a bit bewildered when everyone turned to look at her, "I was just... speaking casually, ah, this hypothesis was proposed by Jin Yue, saying something about Emperor Shiās Mausoleum, Iām not too sure, you should ask her."
Emperorās Mausoleum?
Xu Xin felt as though his mind had caught onto something, yet at the same time, it hadnāt grasped anything.
"I said it." Jin Yue had returned to the group, nodded, "This city weāve been journeying through shows no signs of use, and the layout resembles replicating a bustling capital, similar to Emperor Shiās Mausoleum."
This hypothesis is rather interesting.
And...
"Hey..." Lou FeiāEr nudged Xu Xin with her elbow, whispering, "Do you remember the statue at the entrance? If this is a mausoleum, could it be yours?"
As she spoke, she couldnāt help but laugh, "Youāre not even dead, and someone has already built a mausoleum for you."
But Xu Xin couldnāt laugh.
Lou FeiāEr meant it as a joke, as such a thing is too unbelievable to actually believe.
After all, in this world, who would build such a grand mausoleum for a living outsider?
But Xu Xin didnāt think so.
This place was definitely tightly connected to him.
Otherwise, there wouldnāt be a statue of him above.
And he wouldnāt experience a deja vu after entering the palace, knowing the location of all the traps.
And he wouldnāt, upon stepping into this layer, suddenly use a special state to return to his original world.
Given the previous circumstances.
The previously unseen creek crocodileās friendly attitude and assistance towards him.
The Lake Giant Python, clearly hostile but not attacking.
After entering the underground world, the giant black beetle that helped him.
The python that gave him the tree house core, allowing him to awaken the ability to read minds.
And the giant beast crushed under the prison, seemingly recognizing him for no apparent reason.
And...
He glanced at Keke, still asleep in his arms.
This little one was equally mysterious.
Overall, he felt that this world had a mysterious force that knew him and was assisting him.
He hadnāt seriously considered this before, as from his perspective, there couldnāt be any strange connection between him and this world.
He used to be just an ordinary Earthling, right?
But... after this event, he was truly shaken.
Everything here seemed to clearly indicate that he had numerous connections to this world.
Especially after returning to Earth, when he learned of the situation there, he felt even more odd.
...Could his memory be corrupted like those on Earth?
Could he... truly be missing some memories?
Xu Xin lightly shook his head.
"Letās not talk about it now, thereās nothing else to see on the second floor, letās proceed to the third floor quickly." Xu Xin quickened his pace.
"Okay!" Zeng Tao immediately became excited, following Xu Xin, "There must be good things on the third floor!"
The second floor was just as Xu Xin stated, with no danger whatsoever, and the group easily reached the stairs to the third floor.
"No danger at all." Lou FeiāEr couldnāt help but glance at Xu Xin, "You were very accurate, this place indeed isnāt..."
"Then letās hurry up and go!" Zeng Tao exclaimed as she prepared to run up.
