"Now, can you let go?"
Fang Cheng asked calmly.
The two were startled by this calm voice.
As they came to their senses, they looked at the suitcase so close at hand, and for the first time, fear appeared in their eyes, making them release their grip as if electrocuted.
The greed in their hearts was finally replaced by fear.
Seeing this, Fang Cheng also put down the suitcase.
Then he ignored the gun pointed at him and walked straight toward the leader of the robbers.
"What are you doing?"
The leader of the robbers felt a great alarm in his heart and instinctively stepped back.
But Fang Chengās speed was too fast!
He only felt a blur before his eyes, a slight sting came from his wrist holding the gun tightly, and then his hand was empty.
The gun simply vanished into thin air.
By the time he came to his senses, the gun that should have been in his hand was, like magic, in Fang Chengās hand.
"Give me back my gun!"
The leader of the robbers blurted out, his voice tinged with shock he hadnāt even noticed.
"Sure."
Fang Cheng smiled and flicked his wrist.
The leader of the robbers only felt a cold, hard object being shoved back into his palm.
Looking down, it was precisely his gun.
He was completely stunned, his mind blank.
What exactly happened?
With Fang Chengās agility attribute now exceeding 60, his hand speed was almost indistinguishable from teleportation to an ordinary person.
"Donāt like it?"
Fang Chengās voice rang out again.
Before the leader of the robbers could react, the gun in his hand disappeared once more.
This time, Fang Cheng didnāt return it.
Only a dazzling series of "clicks" were heard, crisp and rhythmic.
Fang Chengās fingers seemed to have a life of their own, dancing dexterously over the gun.
His thumb deftly pressed the magazine release, and with a flip of his hand, he caught the ejected magazine.
Then, his index finger hooked onto the trigger guard, his middle finger pulled back the slide, smoothly ejecting the bullet from the chamber.
In just two seconds, a fully loaded handgun was reduced to a pile of harmless metal parts in his hand.
The leader of the robbers was thoroughly panicked, his hand still in a gun-holding posture, trembling uncontrollably in the air, his voice on the verge of tears:
"You... what exactly do you want?"
Outside the private room, a few bold waiters and guests in the corridor were secretly peering inside, their faces full of terror and incredulity.
Fang Chengās eyes suddenly turned sharp, and then he lowered his voice and leaned close to the robber leaderās ear:
"Since Iām in a good mood today, get out of here right now, or Iāll dismantle each of you into parts!"
Every word squeezed out between his teeth, chilling with murderous intent.
The leader of the robbers shivered all over, then felt as if heād been pardoned.
He didnāt dare look into Fang Chengās eyes, turned and yelled at the two henchmen who were still in a daze:
"What the hell are you waiting for? Get out of here now!"
With that, he pulled one of them up and dashed out of the private room, stumbling and scrambling.
Three people stumbled, fleeing without direction, almost tumbling down the stairs, and their disheveled figures soon disappeared.
After the robbers fled, the tea house was eerily silent for a moment, then erupted into loud chatter.
The waiters and other guests were discussing among themselves, faces filled with the relief of surviving a disaster.
In the private room, Fang Cheng bent down, picked up the bullets and magazine from the ground, and skillfully reassembled them.
Then, he tossed the intact gun to the still-stunned Xiao Shuai.
"Since someone kindly provided a weapon, you can use it for self-defense for now."
Xiao Shuai snapped back to reality, hurriedly catching it, the cold touch invigorating his spirit.
Fang Cheng then took out a set of keys from his pocket and tossed them over as well.
"You can drive, right? Take the suitcase and immediately send the money to Room 1903, Building 7, Sea Sky Garden, Guilan District."
Xiao Shuai caught the keys without any hesitation and nodded heavily:
"Yes, Chairman, Iāll handle it right away."
Fang Cheng finished giving instructions and turned to walk downstairs.
He had held back against those three robbers just now, not only because there were bystanders, making it inappropriate to be too ruthless.
More importantly, he sensed something unusual.
These robbers seemed reckless, yet they had clear goals and were by no means ordinary street thugs.
Their appearance was too coincidental.
.........
In the dim room, the air was filled with the damp smell of mildew and the scent of disinfectant.
The wallpaper was peeling off in large patches, revealing the mottled concrete underneath.
With a rustling sound, a fat rat darted out from the corner and quickly slipped under the sofa.
Outside the window, a piercing police siren drew closer and then roared away.
It seemed that a police car had passed by on a nearby street.
Swish.
The tightly drawn curtains were pulled open slightly by a hand.
The dim sunlight struggled to squeeze in, barely illuminating the roomās interior.
The person standing at the window was the same robber leader from the recent tea house heist.
He cautiously surveyed the street below, and seeing that the police car was just passing by, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Then he tore off the stockings from his head, revealing a weathered middle-aged manās face.
"Damn, was that guy a monster just now?"
The disgruntled voice of Black Bull sounded from behind.
"Who the hell knows! That guy had freakishly huge strength, definitely not a normal person!"
Rat responded weakly, his voice filled with lingering fear.
The two also removed their hoods, their bruised and battered faces looking especially comical.
"Sigh, such a shame about all that money. Iāve never seen so many banknotes stacked together in my life."
Black Bull rubbed his aching chest, full of regret, then muttered unwillingly:
"Boss, why donāt we try robbing a bank next time?"
"Youāre still thinking about money? We almost got used as punching bags back at the tea house, and you want to challenge something harder?"
Rat immediately mocked him.
"What did you say? You skinny monkey got hammered too!"
Black Bull retorted defiantly.
"Iām not as big as you, losing to him is normal!"
"Enough, both of you shut up!"
The boss, who had been watching quietly from the window, finally spoke, his voice cold:
"You two should be grateful for escaping with your lives just now."
At his words, Black Bull and Rat paused.
The middle-aged man turned around, his eyes serious as he continued:
"That person is very strong. Even ten of me together wouldnāt be his match."
Black Bull and Rat were utterly stunned.
They knew their bossās prowess well.
He had once injected a special serum, and barehanded, even ten ordinary strong men couldnāt get close to him.
Now, the boss was saying that even ten of him couldnāt beat that young man who looked like a pretty boy?
However, recalling that magic trick-like moment when the gun inexplicably ended up in the opponentās hand and was instantly dismantled into parts,
they couldnāt help but shiver.
Having been dazed just now, they hadnāt had time to think it over.
The more they pondered now, the colder their spines felt, a fear coming from deep in their souls.
"Boss."
Ratās voice was a bit shaky: "The person Mr. Jia had us test today... seems not to be simple, having such an expert by his side."
The middle-aged man didnāt reply, just gazed out the window as if contemplating something important.
The dim and worn room fell into still silence once more.
The sunset gradually slanted westward, casting a twilight hue over everything inside.
"When will Mr. Jia arrive?"
A rugged voice broke the silence, it was Black Bull.
He grumbled impatiently:
"This damn place is filthy and stinks. Itās almost evening, and I have a date to have some fun at the bar!"
Hearing his companion complain, Rat joined in:
"Indeed, Noah Organization recently has been doing some mysterious stuff, choosing such a place for a meeting point."
The middle-aged man ignored their complaints.
He lifted his wrist and glanced at his watch.
It was 6:07.
Just then, a steady yet unhurried footstep sounded from the old hallway outside.
The expressions of the three people inside the room instantly turned tense.
The middle-aged man silently walked to the door, put his eye to the peephole, and looked outside.
A figure appeared in his field of view.
It was a young man, wearing a faded gray work uniform, black-framed glasses, and carrying a slightly worn canvas bag.
He looked just like a water and electricity worker who had just finished work and was passing by.
However, the middle-aged manās eyes suddenly sharpened.
He immediately opened the door, a respectful smile on his face, and greeted the person outside:
"Mr. Jia, weāve been waiting here as agreed for a long time."
The young man nodded slightly, his gaze behind the glasses calm and unfazed, and walked straight in.
