Jason ignored the bickering monsters and looked over at his final Rook. The Moonlight wolf had been with him since the very beginning and Jason felt some sort of emotional attachment to it because of how long itâs been fighting for him. Jason grinned at the monster, and it came over and licked Jasonâs face quickly before any of the others could see it.
Jason petted its side and hummed as he thought of a name. It was one of Jasonâs first-ever subordinates, so he felt like he owed it the privilege of giving it a good name.
Finally, after a few seconds of thought, a perfect name came to Jasonâs mind.
"Fenrir. Thatâll be your name."
Jason grinned up at the now-named subordinate, and it released a loud howl into the sky before nuzzling against Jasonâs face again.

Jason laughed at Fenrirâs action, and Fenrir immediately jumped out of the way as Ragnar almost grabbed him into the fight that was still going on! Fenrir released a loud yip as it nimbly avoided Ragnar and Raya, and Jason couldnât help but think that it was laughing at the two of them.
At the side, Dino was trying its best to crawl away from them before they could drag it back into the fight, and Jason finally told them all to relax. They were going to cause an earthquake if they kept acting like this.
Raya screeched up at Ragnar one final time, and Ragnar released a puff of smoke at her face before turning back to Jason and lying on the ground so that its snout was right in front of him. Jason put one hand on Ragnarâs snout and patted it gently.
âGood boy.â
Ragnar huffed happily.
Jasonâs mind was still whirling with the possibilities as he looked at the little dragon. Having a creature like this in his arsenal was huge for him. Not only would it be useful in a massive fight, but it would also be useful for dealing with multiple enemies at the same time since it had an emitter-type skill.
Ragnar began to flap its wings happily as Jason kept petting it, and massive gale wings blew around the area, making Jason put his hand up to his face slightly.
Finally, after a few seconds, the dragon stopped, and Jason patted it on the snout again before turning and telling one of the Adamantine Ant Soldiers to go and fetch the magical crystal inside the monsterâs carcass.
âI think Iâll also take the carcass with me. Thereâs no way Dragon skin and bone wonât be worth something."
[Dragon remains are a precious commodity amongst the higher aristocrats both on Earth and in the Primordial Expanse. Should the user sell it, it will fetch the user a substantial sum.]
Jason chuckled. He liked the way this system thought! Jason had already been planning on taking the carcass back with him since he remembered the system saying something about dragon parts being very valuable! The system told Jason a long time ago that he could only put non-living things into this Alternate Dimension, so he wasnât worried about how he would take it along!
The ant reached the carcass and tried to pry the body open to take out the crystal, but Jason heard a loud crack echo through the region as the antâs mandibles broke on the dragonâs skin.
Even though Ragnar was only a child, it was still a dragon, so creatures that were weaker than it wouldnât even be able to break through its tough skin. Jason had to tell Raya to go and handle the collection since she was the one who put Ragnar down, and Raya screeched happily before rushing toward the carcass. For a moment, Jason could almost hear Raya laughing maniacally as she tore open Ragnarâs previous body. It was obvious that she was still pissed at Ragnar for the fight they had.
It didnât take long for Raya to find the large magical crystal in the dragonâs chest, but once she tried to take it out, she let out a loud shout when it burned her, and she immediately dropped it to the ground! The crystal began to melt through the soil, and Jason quickly put his hand out toward the dragon and opened his Alternate Dimension underneath its body to allow it to fall into the parallel world along with the crystal.
"Fucking hell. What the hell was that?"
Jason furrowed his brow as he waited to see if there would be any reaction from the crystal inside his Alternate Dimension, and he finally sighed when he realized that nothing would happen. Were all dragon crystals that hot? It almost killed Raya.
Jason turned to Raya and saw that she was nursing her burnt mandibles and scratching them with her legs. A few seconds passed before the wound closed up, and Jason mentally consoled her and told her to go rest inside the Alternate Dimension.
âHow in the world am I going to eat that?â
Jason frowned as this thought passed through his mind. Jason had no desire to sell the Dragon Crystal since he knew that it would be very useful for him. Selling it might make him a couple of million dollars, but eating it would literally make him a dragon. He wasnât passing up that opportunity for anything!
But the issue now was the fact that Raya had a higher durability than him. If the crystal burnt Raya, then it would definitely burn him too. The only option he had was to use the buffs from his [ExoSkeleton Armor] skill to try and negate the burns. But wouldnât it just burn through his stomach? Jason was not exactly keen on having his stomach hollowed out by fire.
[The userâs Avarian genome has strengthened the userâs digestive tract and ensured that it is capable of negating the effects of any poison, debuff, elemental attack, or alchemy that enters the userâs stomach. This is common with the Avarian race and it is done to ensure they are capable of consuming Magic Crystals freely. The user does not need to worry about having his stomach âhollowed outâ.]
Jason hummed as a smile bloomed on his face. That was perfect! Now all he had to do was prevent the crystal from burning him on the outside. Once he ingested it, he didnât have to worry anymore.
Jason activated his [Exoskeletal Armor] and then used his [Mana Frenzy] to boost his stats by a hundred percent. His mana immediately began to drop significantly, but he ignored it as he opened his Alternate Dimension and summoned the crystal into his hand.
Sizzle~!
The crystal immediately began to sizzle the moment it dropped into Jasonâs hand, and Jason grimaced. But he bore with the slight burning sensation, and the pain eventually faded until it was barely noticeable. That meant that he would bear the heat with this much protection at least. The crystal was as large as a basketball with a pulsing red glow shining from inside. When Jason looked closely, he could tell that the glow on the inside looked similar to lava.
Jason turned to Ragnar and raised the crystal to him before ordering him to break it into pieces. Ragnar tilted his head to one side like a confused puppy, and Jason told him to bite it really hard! Ragnar finally leaned down and grabbed the crystal in his mouth before biting hard!
Crack!
