Ginaâs red hair fell over Jasonâs shoulder as her face came down beside his own, and Jason felt her breasts flatten against his back as she wrapped her hands around his shoulder and spoke softly in his ear.
"Youâre still working on this? How long has it been now? Two days? You wonât even tell me what it is."
Gina looked down at the rune with a curious gaze, and Jason smiled as he felt Gina press a soft kiss on his neck while trying to make him tell her his secret. Ginaâs hands roamed down Jasonâs bare chest as she hummed in his ear, and Jason reached up and ran his fingers through Ginaâs red hair softly. Gina felt herself appreciating Jasonâs body again. Gina looked over the runes that were drawn on Jasonâs chest and arms, and she bit her bottom lip softly. Gina didnât really like tattoos that much. She had seen many people with tattoos in the past, and she always thought they were just strange. But for some reason, seeing those same things on Jason did something primal to her. The tattoos drawn on Jasonâs toned body were so sexy that Gina couldnât even look at Jason without getting aroused anymore! Gina swallowed as she ran her fingers over a particularly large mana storage rune that went over Jasonâs abs, and she had to press her legs together and force herself to calm down as the heat in her core became unbearable! Gina knew that if she allowed her desires to get the better of her right now, neither of them would get anything done anymore!
"Iâll tell you what it is once Iâm done. I promise."
Jason spoke up with a small laugh after a while, and Gina pouted when she heard this. But she eventually just pressed another kiss to Jasonâs cheek, and she smiled as she brought her other hand forward! Jason raised a brow when he saw that Gina was holding a spoon with some red tomato sauce on it. Gina asked Jason to have a taste and tell her what he thought, and Jason ate the sauce and hummed before he gave Gina an excited thumbs up!
"That was the best one yet, babe!"
Gina brightened up immediately!
"Really!? Youâre not just saying that, right!? It was really good?"
"Of course it was. Great job."
Jason chuckled as Gina whooped in joy! Gina had been trying her hand at cooking in between her training sessions, and whenever she made anything, she would make Jason taste it to judge how far she had gone! A week ago, Ginaâs sauce somehow tasted like cardboard and raw tomatoes, but right now Jason could tell that she had improved a lot! At least this time the sauce was edible! Jason didnât think that Gina would ever become some five-star level chef like his mother. Gina just didnât have those magic fingers that his mother seemed to have when it came to cooking. But at the very least, Jason was sure that Gina could become as good as him if she kept trying this hard. Gina leaned down in excitement and kissed Jason hard on the cheek, and Jason laughed as he turned and gave her a proper kiss on her lips! Gina smiled happily at this, and once they separated, she started going back to the kitchen with a bounce in her step. Jason watched her ass bouncing as she left, and he smiled and let out a calm sigh before turning back to his runes, but his attention was dragged back to Gina when he heard her speak up a few seconds later.
"Babe, have you heard anything from Riyala recently? I havenât heard from her in almost two weeks now."
Gina had said goodbye to Riyala when she went back to Radagan after Evonâs attack, but she hadnât heard anything at all since then, and she was a little worried. Jason hummed, and he said that Riyala had been busy.
"She sent me a message a few days ago. Sheâs just been really busy with the reconstructions. Theyâre still doing repairs on the towns that were destroyed in the battle, and the Radagan council is trying to put together a case against the Overlord before the meeting with the Council of Nine and One. But she should be coming to Earth any day now."
Gina smiled.
"Well, I understand. Iâm sure thereâs a lot she has to take care of as the new priestess, and weâve been so busy training every single day without any breaks, so we havenât had time to go visit her. Everyoneâs so busy these days. Itâll be nice for all of us to go on a vacation together when this is all done."
"Alright, weâll plan something later."
"Really?"
"Yeah, letâs just finish dealing with the council first. A vacation sounds like a great idea."
Gina smiled as she agreed, and Jason rested his chin in his closed fist as he continued to look over the runes in front of him. Slowly, Jason felt his mind travelling back in time to the previous week when he had been at the height of his training and the message the system sent him on a random day. Apparently, the system finally deciphered the signal from the voice that had been begging him for help, and it now knew where it was coming from.
[The system has completed the analysis of the signals within the messages reaching the user.]
[The system has found that the signal consists of two unique energy types. The less prevalent energy source is a magical frequency that matches the frequency of the magical race known as the [Vympire], and the more prevalent energy source is an unanalysable energy that had distinct similarities to the energy source found in various [Arcane Arts] around the Primordial Expanse.]
This was the message that Jason had gotten from the system, and Jason had been shocked when he read through all of it. Jason first asked the system to explain who the [Vympire] race was, and from what the system sent back, he could tell that the Vympires were another variant of what humans called Vampires. The systemâs explanation told Jason that the Vympires were immortal creatures that consumed blood as their main food source, but there was no mention of them growing weaker under sunlight, so Jason didnât know if they were really vampires or not. They came from a world called Drakul that was in the second Primordial domain, and after reading through the rest of the systemâs message, Jason was certain that the plea for help had come from the wielder of the final Attribute of the [Lord of Shadows] Arcane Art. But Jason didnât know why they would be broadcasting their location like this. They were just asking to be hunted down at this rate.
Jason asked Evon if she had heard any voices when she still had the Arcane Art, and Evon said that she did. She heard a cry for help from a distant world, but she hadnât followed it because Earth was closer and she wanted to first kill Jason to take his Arcane Attribute. This made Jason certain of his conclusion. But Jason didnât know if it was a good idea to go out looking for someone who was broadcasting their location in such an obvious way. On one hand, Jason knew that this could be real. The voice could be from someone who genuinely needed help, and they didnât have any other choice but to call out through this signal. But on the other hand, this could be a trap. The fact that someone was willing to spread their location to the Primordial Expanse without caring about who would hear the call made it seem like anyone who actually responded to the call was walking right into a trap!
