“Is everything done?” Nathan asked.

Flora nodded. “Yeah. We’ve packed everything necessary from this place.”

Nathan smiled. “Alright. Let’s set out. We shouldn’t be too far from the mountain range, so we’ll proceed carefully. I don’t want to wake up another hidden elite class alien anymore, especially since we are not far from that place anymore.”

They agreed, knowing how messy it would become to handle such a being.

On their side, specifically next to the house, there was a small tombstone.

Although they didn’t know the person directly and his skeleton seemed to have been either destroyed by the alien or decomposed, giving him a place to rest was the least they could do, especially for all this information and research.

After paying their respects to him, all of them headed to the main vent.

Dane, Lavi, Brunhild, and Raphael took Noelle, Flora, Alavenya, and Sera directly. Meanwhile, Risa held Nathan, and Sasha brought Selena up.

They flew through the main vent, going straight to the exit.

They went so fast that it didn’t look like they were hitting a layer of magma. Still, when outside, they could feel a bit of fear with the heat from the magma grazing their skin.

They hurriedly flew to the bottom of the mountain to distract themselves from the illusion.

Then they respectively summoned their familiars and spread them out as they headed to the mountain range. The position of the volcano was much closer compared to the former military base, so it only took them a few hours to finally see the mountain range in the distance.

To avoid awakening another alien like the centipede, Nathan didn’t do anything big. He even asked them to not release any powerful attacks.

It might slow them down, but at the very least, the situation was proceeding according to their original plan.

They arrived at the mountain range two hours after lunch, which gave them plenty of time to scout the area.

The mountain range stretches for over 2,000 km (1,200 miles) from the southwest of the Azilia Kingdom diagonally to the south of the Liaystian Kingdom. It was approximately 250 km (150 miles) wide, with a maximum elevation of 3,228 meters (10,590 feet).

It was a massive mountain range that basically became a divider for the Azilia Kingdom and the Liaystian Kingdom. The first prince was located on the left side of this mountain range, which meant the aliens that came to his place originally came from the south of the Liaystian Kingdom.

While it was true that it prevented a lot of aliens from coming his way, it was a good diplomatic place with the Liaystian Kingdom.

On the other hand, the third princess and the fourth prince were located on the east side of the alien. With the sea border on their east and the mountain range on their west, it created a pseudo funnel shape that directed the aliens from the alien territory toward them.

Nathan looked up, feeling up the majestic mountain range from the bottom. There was a small path they could use to climb the mountain and cross it, but it would be a place for the aliens to settle down as well.

Hence, this mountain range might possess a threat similar to that of an elite class alien.

“This is going to be hard, isn’t it?” Selena asked.

“Yeah.” Nathan nodded. “Only this mountain separates you from your father. According to the notebook, we should be able to see that place once we cross this mountain.”

“But even with the safe spot, we don’t know whether it’ll be alright or not.” Selena shook her head. “Should we climb right away?”

“Yes.” Nathan looked away, muttering inwardly, ‘If I recall, there’s a novel about this as well. It’s said that you need to adjust your breath on the mountain, meaning that we can’t climb the mountain easily due to how thin the air on the mountain is.

‘While I have been flying with Peng or Nidhogg, I don’t really go high due to the lack of air. Although the summoners can withstand the difference to a certain extent, we can’t ignore it completely… or we’re not strong enough to ignore it.

‘And with the aliens residing in this mountain, the best way is to adjust ourselves to a certain height before going forward.

Nathan contemplated. “Have you found the path yet?”

“I saw some suspicious areas, which are further south. It’s better to go there and confirm the path first before climbing it.” Jinwu raised his right wing. “But I’m pretty sure the path is among them. It’s not entirely narrow, but you have to be careful.

“If possible, have familiars who can fly by your side all the time. I see several narrow paths, so if you’re not careful, you might fall from the cliff.

“You can kick the air, but don’t forget that up there, the air is thin. You will lack kicking force too.”

“…” Nathan smiled wryly, thinking, ‘I want to beat anyone that writes flying or fighting in the mountains as simple as flipping their hand. I’m stuck here with physics.’

Nathan ultimately nodded. “Got it. Selena. Tell everyone we will go. As for Jinwu’s advice, we will have Dane, Lavi, Brunhild, Raphael, Sasha, and Rxkha.”

“Got it.” She hurriedly informed the others, leaving Nathan and Jinwu behind.

Nathan’s expression turned grim as he asked, “So…”

Jinwu perched on his shoulder while whispering, “This place is a bit too big for my liking. I’m afraid it will result in a type of battle that you are not familiar with. You need to be prepared.”
