Chapter 991: Problems
Albert walked back to the inn with Selena.
âLady Selena. Do you think they will work together with us?â Albert asked with a serious expression.
âYouâre a minister. You know this more than I doâŠâ Selena smiled wryly.
Albert sighed. âThe enemy is a bit tricky this time, so I donât expect much. But they will most likely cooperate with us. In fact, they want to push us to confront Garam Haygaiden.
âThe only problem is whether we can deal with them or not. If not, the Liaystian Kingdom will take this chance to eliminate them and take full credit.
âAlthough weâve agreed to let them take the credits, itâs just⊠how do I say this⊠Our opponent is a world class summoner.â
The credit someone could get from defeating a world class summoner was huge. That was why he thought it would be better if the Azilia Kingdom got it.
But Selena shook her head. âI havenât met Nathan again in the past three months. However, he once mentioned that they have enough preparation to take down Garam Haygaiden. Itâs not 100%, but they might still succeed.
âHowever, his helperâs identity is quite sensitive. Thatâs why I arrange it this way. This way, if he succeeds, the credit will go to him and the Liaystian Kingdom will not dare to claim the credit even if we give it to them.
âBut if it fails, then let it be.â Selena shrugged.
âYou take this too lightly.â
âI donât. I might be his fiance, but I have only known him for less than one year. However, do you know the one thing I have learned from him in the past year?â
âIf you donât mind telling meâŠâ
âNathan has never picked a fight he canât win.â
In other words, the reason he made this plan was simply because he was confident he could win. Besides, the person he entrusted this task to was none other than Evelyn, a woman Nathan pursued. There was no way Nathan would send someone like that to her death.
That was why Nathan planned it, fully believing Evelyn would defeat Garam Haygaiden. Of course, Selena didnât know the identity of Evelyn, so she just answered it ambiguously.
âI understand.â Albert nodded. âI will follow your arrangement. His Majesty has specifically instructed me to follow your plan anyway.â
Albert could see why Julius arranged it that way. If Nathan succeeded, Nathan would become famous. This achievement would simply erase any intention of harming Nathan or dragging him into their matters, which would ultimately protect Flora.
Selena nodded. âThen weâll just wait for their movement first.â
âYes.â
Both of them returned to their suites. For Albert, he was accompanied by Minister Kevin and a few people from the special forces created for the Divine Hand.
In the other suite, Selena shared it with all the girls.

While they remained passive, Rood immediately returned to the Summoner Division in the capital city to report everything.
The commander of the Summoner Division, Mattheus Narvan, crossed his arms while furrowing his eyebrows. âIs this information true?â
âI donât see any reason for them to lie to us.â Rood shook his head.
âTheyâre just incompetent. To not be able to deal with these terrorists⊠they should feel ashamed.â Lavinster snorted while rolling his eyes.
âShut up!â Mattheus slapped Lavinster on the face.
The crisp sound echoed loudly inside the room. Lavinster covered his cheek in shock. âYou⊠YouâŠâ
âYou what? I slapped you, brat!â
âI will tell my father about this!â Lavinster shouted angrily.
âTell him! Letâs see whether your father slaps you harder or not!â Mattheus slammed the table with his hand. âIâm your fatherâs friend. He sent you to me so that you get to experience a lot of things. Iâm not working for your father!
âEven your father needs to give some respect to the woman who came with the envoy!
âUnlike you, who can be arrogant just because you have a bit more talent than others, her fiance is a monster! If not for him, the kingdom would lose over half of its citizens, and our front line would be in a much harder position.
âNow, you tell me. Which one is easier? Your father discards you or calms down a freaking disaster?
âOne wrong word. I will send you to the front line right away!â
Lavinster gritted his teeth while glaring at him. He didnât say anything, but he clenched his hands into fists.
âGet out!â Mattheus shouted while pointing at the door.
Lavinster angrily stormed out of the room.
Mattheus clicked his tongue. âAnnoying brat. But I have promised his father to let him stay here.
âRood, they might be planning to let us take the credit, but will we dare to take the credit? Weâre talking about a world class summoner here. If they fail and weâre the ones doing it, then itâs fine for us to take the credit. However, if they donât, we donât dare to take the credit.
âIt looks like the Azilia Kingdom is planning to let this guy handle it. Then, it shall be done. We can finally measure this monster for the first time. Vivian might be his teacher, but his backer might be someone else. If that backer can kill Garam Haygaiden, it can mean a lot to us. So, let him do whatever he wants for now.
âIf things go wrong, send a message back to me. I will personally handle it.
âHowever, bring that kid again. Although I donât want to do it, his father is a good man. Just hope this brat can be taught. Make sure he doesnât cause problems there.â
âDo I really need to bring him againâŠ?â Rood smiled wryly.
âYou have no choice in this matter. I hate to say this, but reaching grandmaster level at 18 years old is not easy. He might be able to become a world class summoner and replace his father, but that shiâahem, I mean spoiled personality needs to be fixed first.
âIf that monster, Nathan, beats him up, so be it. I will talk to his father.â
Rood could only let out a long sigh, feeling that the Divine Hand was easier to handle than fixing Lavinsterâs problematic character without angering Nathan in the process.
âI understand. Iâll do my bestâŠâ
