Chapter 1018: âImmortalâ
In another room, Alavenya and Flora had found their targets in the same room.
âWeâve found them.â Flora smirked.
âWho?! Enemy!â Tuska panicked and waved his hand. âSheila!â
âYes.â Sheila nodded and moved forward while releasing her energy. She summoned all her familiars as well.
âAlavenya. We should go according to our own plan.â Flora shouted while summoning all her familiars.
Alavenya didnât reply to her. A moment ago, Flora said something to her.
âAlavenya. Although this might look like a test to see how much our strength has grown, we have to defeat our opponent as quickly as possible, even if it means disregarding this test.â
âHuh? What are you talking about?â Alavenya frowned. She thought she would be the one facing Sheila, so she was slightly displeased that Flora tried to cancel it.
âListen to me first. Nathan might have downplayed it a bit, but donât forget that his opponent is an arcane level summoner.
âHe might go with Selena, but her opponent should be similar to hers. No matter how abnormal Selena is, it will take time for her to defeat her opponent, and she would have to spend a considerable amount of energy to defeat an opponent of that level.
âOn the other hand, Nathan and Iskar Haygaiden are on two different levels. Although the information has shown that the enemy is weaker than they are supposed to be, theyâre still an arcane level summoner.
âDonât forget that our opponent is a summoner. Heâs not the only one at the arcane level.â
âAh!â Alavenya finally understood. That was right. It wasnât just Nathan who was weaker, his beasts would face the same situation. If one of his beasts was defeated, the balance would tip right away since Iskarâs familiar could work together and take down other familiars one after another.
When that happened, Nathan would lose miserably.
Floraâs expression turned grim. âThatâs why⊠Our job is to secure Tuska, not fight his bodyguard on equal ground.
âInstead of focusing on our desire this time, we should focus on the grand scheme of things.
âIf Nathan loses here, the situation will be ugly, especially for us. Even if you are going to get mad at me after this, I will break free and kill Sheila as quickly as possible.â
Alavenyaâs expression turned serious. After realizing the severity of the situation, she knew Nathanâs safety was their highest priority.
Even if Nathan had an innate ability, they didnât know if Nathan could still win against someone like Iskar.
âIf he can win, then itâs good. If he canât, we will make our move.â
âYes.â Flora nodded. âBut youâre probably the only one going there. In the end, the first objective still remains. I will still have to secure Tuska. For now, we will have to check on our enemies and see how we should proceed.â
âI seeâŠâ Alavenya thought for a moment before nodding her head. âI understand. I will follow your arrangement.â
After recalling that conversation, Alavenya summoned all familiars except for the lamia due to her size. âGo!â
Upon her shout, her familiars moved toward Sheila while Alavenya and Xingtian moved toward Tuska.
â!!!â Tuska took a step back and hurriedly summoned his familiars. âDonât underestimate me.â
Sheila clicked her tongue and turned around, trying to help him.
However, Alavenyaâs familiars stood in her way, blocking her path.
In addition, Sheila had no choice but to erect a barrier to the side as a lightning strike almost hit her. All kinds of elemental attacks also rained down on her, forcing her familiars to take a defensive position.
âWhere do you think youâre going? Your opponent is me.â Flora smirked.
âAnnoying. No, wait. Whatâs all that⊠Her spiritsâŠâ Sheila suddenly noticed something she had never seen before.
Flora summoned a total of six familiars: Flame, Ice, Stone, Lightning, Plant, and Light. Most importantly, each of these spirits was not ordinary.
âThey all are⊠great spirits?â Sheilaâs body shook. That was right. Nathan actually helped Flora by turning all her familiars into great spirits.
Flora smiled. She was accompanied by all these elemental spirits, making her look like the ruler of the elements. She waved her hand down while unleashing a lightning strike herself. âAttack!â
All great spirits advanced forward, clashing with Sheilaâs familiars. At the same time, Alavenyaâs familiars also came, pincering her from two directions.
âWatch out. Theyâre coming for you!â Sheila abruptly shouted, warning Tuska. She couldnât help him, so he had to somehow escape from this place.
âDonât underestimate me!â Tuska waved his hand, sending forth all his familiars.
Alavenya and Xingtian didnât even bother lowering their speed. They even increased it.
With all the familiars surrounding them, they were supposed to suffer some loss even if there was a gap in their strength.
However, their opponents were Alavenya and Xingtian.
Alavenya first grabbed one of the familiars with her fastest speed before slamming it down to the ground. âDie!â
She activated her Dragon Fist, but obviously, the other familiars couldnât afford to let her do it. They unleashed their respective attacks, but for some reason, Alavenya treated them as if they never existed.
*Bam!*
She struck the first familiar with the Dragon Fist, crushing its head. However, due to her ignoring the other two familiars, her left arm was burned while her right shoulder got cut quite deeply.
The only thing Alavenya did was adjust her position slightly so that she wouldnât die in one shot.
Xingtian did the same thing. He cleaved one of the familiars with all his strength, not letting the familiar even have the chance to block him.
That resulted in other familiars stabbing his âheartâ and striking both of his feet.
Unfortunately for Tuska, Alavenya and Xingtian simply released their ena. The wounds in their bodies actually recovered at a speed visible to the naked eye. In just a few seconds, all those wounds were gone, as if they had never gotten injured in the first place.
âWhat?â Tuska panicked. There was supposed to be no one who could use a healing ability here. Yet, these two could actually recover.
Alavenyaâs eyes turned bloodshot, as if telling him he would be next. It was at this moment he knew it was only a matter of time before he got caught by these two immortal demons.
