Chapter 1109: Kaboom

“Kaboom.”

Nathan’s voice sounded playful, and the ena around his attack didn’t look impressive. Yet, when the Time Seal disappeared, the explosion that occurred shocked even the people from the other battlefield.

The forty explosive bullets added up to each other, unleashing an even bigger explosion. They were about 30 meters (98 feet) under water, but the explosion was so big that it caused a massive shock wave even up above.

The water was kicked up as high as 100 meters (328 feet) in the air. The explosion engulfed almost the entire whirlpool that Evelyn had created.

If Evelyn didn’t bring Neyeid and Sonia away, they would have taken the full brunt of the shock wave from the explosion. Even when they were already far away, Evelyn had to form another shield in front to block the powerful shock wave.

“What?” Neyeid dropped his jaw. “This attack…”

“It killed half of them? Although the mature class and warrior class aliens survived the blast, most of the mature class were severely injured, and it looked like they could die at any moment. Meanwhile, the warrior class aliens have a hard time regenerating their bodies.” Neyeid simply couldn’t believe Nathan could produce such a powerful attack, especially since he was just a grandmaster.

“Nathan’s attack has been boosted by Christopher and his familiar, so it’s normal to have that power, no?” Sonia frowned.

“Even so, this kind of attack is simply too insane. He’s like him.” Neyeid pointed at Revon on the other battlefield. In fact, the people from that battlefield also took a glance at the explosion.

“What was that?” Melissa blinked a few times. “I couldn’t see through it. It looked like it was just a mass of ena.”

Vivian snorted. “Learn more. That’s Nathan’s explosive bullet.”

“No, no, no. Nathan? Are you joking right now? Your disciple releases such a powerful attack? Isn’t he just a grandmaster?”

Vivian was proud. “Hehehe. Don’t measure him against your standard.”

“Isn’t my standard the same as yours? He will probably surpass us both soon, no?”

“Surpass us, huh?” Vivian wanted to agree, but Bella’s words resurfaced again. In the end, she just looked away as though she were ignoring that statement.

“Oi?” Melissa’s eyebrows twitched as she just got ignored again.

Evelyn, on the other hand, could see through everything. “So, that was his new bullet. While it was true that he could only use that power when no one attacked him, it was still so powerful that even an elite class alien would take damage from it.

“Besides, it’s still incomplete. Once he completes the new bullets, I’m afraid that his power will have a qualitative leap.

“But this is actually what he needs. Those who have become an arcane level summoner need this kind of qualitative leap. It looks like he’s able to get inspiration from the battle against Iskar Haygaiden.” Evelyn was satisfied with Nathan’s growth.

Anubis was also quite proud of Nathan. Although it was true that he could only unleash such a powerful attack in this situation, this was the first step for him to become much stronger.

Fenrir returned to his side while saying, “It looks like you have found your path.”

“Yeah.” Nathan grinned. “I was wrong in the first place. This world is like the fantasy world I’ve read, so I shouldn’t have limited myself to the modern standard. Guns are indeed strong, but since this is a kind of fantasy, we should have gone one step further.

“From this point onward, I’m going to change my approach. It’s time for science fiction.” Nathan looked excited.

In his mind, there were a lot of things he had in mind, such as plasma guns or even much more modern guns like the ones that could shoot and hover around him.

In fact, he should think about weapons on a spaceship as his next goal. Even though he couldn’t replicate the exact reaction that formed that power, he could imitate the power in one way or another.

He realized this after seeing Revon’s attack. All this time, he had been limiting himself due to how weak he was. Now that he had gotten stronger, he realized this type of gun had become more feasible in his mind.

“Science-what?” Fenrir tilted his head in confusion.

“As usual, he talks using terminology we don’t understand.” Anubis shrugged. “Who cares? As long as he becomes stronger.”

“It’s rare that we can agree on something.”

“Come on. Let’s finish this already.” Nathan shouted while waving his hand, snapping them out of their shock.

Neyeid couldn’t help but glare at him, thinking, ‘The power is one thing, but how carefree he is is another thing.

‘How can he release such a terrifying thing without any sign of a powerful attack or a stern face? It’s like a child throwing a ball at another person with a big smile on his face. And the next thing they realize, the person has been blown up along with the surrounding area.

‘Besides, he is still a grandmaster level summoner. Can’t he be just a normal grandmaster?’

Neyeid didn’t know what to say to Nathan. Even he, an arcane level summoner, wouldn’t want to take such an attack head-on.

Unfortunately, the shock had to wait. There were still aliens in front of them. Now that Nathan had killed a lot of them, while Revon and the others had taken down the elite class alien, it was time to clean up the battlefield.

Although the elite class alien was strong and the number of aliens it could bring was massive, the expedition group consisted of one world class summoner, five arcane level summoners and three grandmaster level summoners.

It didn’t stand a chance from the beginning. Still, the aliens managed to cause Noel, Bella, Revon, and Vivian to exhaust a lot of their energy. It would have been bad if two or three more elite class aliens suddenly stopped them. They could probably manage if it were two elite class aliens, but they would probably exhaust all their ena. More than that number meant they had to retreat.

It looked like Evelyn had the same idea. Even without saying a single word, they knew what the next order was.
