"So, you are going?" Neyeid asked, finding Nathan had already emptied his room.
"Yeah." Nathan nodded.
"But I heard you havenāt done anything about your storage. Gran hasnāt done any engraving, right?"
"As for that, I have another plan." Nathan waved his hand. "Thereās something I need to do before doing it."
"If you say so." Neyeid shrugged. "So, do you need me to do anything for you?"
Nathan raised three fingers. "There are three, actually. First of all, you know that we donāt have much information about the Death Society, right?"
"Indeed. I have heard the report from Sonia, but we donāt even know all their names and their intentions. As for their information, I think the captain will be the one supplying it to us."
"Yeah." Nathan scratched the back of his head. "As you know, theyāre splitting their group into two with five members each."
"One for the dynasty, one for the empire." Dimitri nodded, acknowledging the information.
"I canāt see what they are planning. I originally thought they were going to chase after me..."
Neyeid crossed his arms. "But they havenāt done anything since you arrived here."
"Exactly. Thatās why they might have another objective. I want you to find that out. Sonia might be able to do it, but the enemies are much stronger than we originally expected, so her power alone might not be enough."
"In that case, I will use my current link to figure out their intention. Iām leaving for the dukeās territory tomorrow, so I will see what I can do."
"Thatās good enough. As for the second one, I need some information about the medicine."
"Actually, I already finished my work for that one."
"What do you mean?"
"I got to meet a merchant. Some of the herbs are rare, but I have managed to find where to get most of them from that merchant."
"Seriously?" Nathan was stupefied, not expecting Neyeid to get it this fast.
"Iām not joking. If you play it right, money can become a weapon. Some of the herbs have been purchased or can be purchased as long as the price is right. There are two things that we canāt get even with money."
"And they are..."
"The first one is the rarest herb on that list. I heard this herb is possessed by a certain noble, so I will use my link and figure out a way to get it."
"Thatās understandable. I guess you will be using the device as your weapon."
"Indeed. The noble definitely needs this device, so if I prioritize him, it should be possible. All I need to do is to negotiate with the duke since heās the main distributor."
"Got it. You can do as you please. Itās not like weāre chasing money on this continent."
Neyeid nodded. "Since thatās the case, it will be easy for me."
"What about the second thing?"
"Well, you certainly need a doctor that can create such a medicine."
Nathan frowned. "You canāt do anything by yourself?"
"While the recipe gives us all the information needed, the doctors have been doing it for a long time. Besides, some doctors are summoners who are able to use their power to make medicine. Their proficiency is better than ours."
"Thereās my teacher, who has a lot of knowledge about medicine. Charlotte might be able to help too."
"Thatās far from enough. Even if they want to create a medicine, they will need to train from the bottom."
"If you say so..." Nathan sighed. "So, where can we find this doctor?"
"Since you are going to the other team, Iām thinking about asking you to do it." Neyeid took out a small piece of paper.
Nathan took it and saw two names. One was a personās name, and the other was a cityās name.
"There is a doctor who has just been sacked by a famous merchant due to the scarcity of the herbs. He is pretty good and is known to be loyal. That person is betrayed by his employer since they have grown that merchant group together."
Nathan felt it was weird. "Are you saying the merchant kicked him out or something?"
"Yeah. Thatās why he might not trust me if I come to him. But in the end, he will still know about me, so..."
"I see. You want me to convince him."
"Exactly."
"I will see what I can do. Besides, he will be good to have as a temporary doctor for us. I still want other medicines after all."
"Indeed. So, whatās the third thing you want me to do? Let me guess, secure materials?"
"It looks like I donāt have to tell you anything." Nathan chuckled. "Yes. I want you to secure materials both for medicines and forging."
"That doesnāt sound hard, especially for minerals. They are useless because people on this continent are not good with minerals. Although the price will increase due to my purchase and the cloud-repelling device, itās not like we are bothered with money."
"Yeah. In fact, it might help if this purchase can circulate the money. After all, we donāt want this continent to collapse because of the clash with the Death Society."
"I canāt help but agree. I want my revenge, but I also want to protect my present life." Neyeid nodded in agreement. "I still have my wives on Gratzel."
"Haha." Nathan laughed before waving his hand. "Anyway, Iām leaving. Revon, you shouldnāt take care of this guy the whole time. You need to become a world class summoner if possible. After all, you are one of the keys to defeating the Death Society."
Revon, who remained silent beside Neyeid, nodded. "Donāt worry. I am progressing just fine. I know my role, and I plan to do it perfectly, even if I have to die because of it."
Nathan chuckled. "Tell Christopher and Sonia to become arcane level summoners as well. As for the cores, you can ask Neyeid about it."
"Sure. Purchasing cores together with minerals shouldnāt be much of a problem. Do you want some as well, Nathan?"
"I still have enough money to purchase my own cores, so you donāt have to worry about it. Just share the cores with the others."
"Got it."
"Then, Iām off. Take care, you two." Nathan smiled while walking away.
"Ah, wait, Nathan!" Neyeid abruptly stopped him.
"Hmm?"
"From what I have heard, there is a weird movement on the front line. Iām assuming something is different with the aliens."
