Chapter 1246: Forest Queen
âForest Wrath.â
The magic circles shone as the ena increased drastically.
But before they could be activated, a huge wolf howl echoed across the field as the barrier shattered into pieces. Nathan leaped away and shot the magic circle with the Absolute Bullet, neutralizing it.
âI never underestimated you.â Nathan shook his head. In the end, the barrier was useless against absolute strength. Fenrirâs divinity could crush even a domain, let alone a mere barrier.
ââŠâ Melissa dropped her jaw.
âMelissa. Can you break that barrier?â
âThatâs a 10-layer barrier. You expect me to break it? Iâm a support, not a fighter.â Melissa shook her head. âBut to effortlessly break that barrier, even I donât know who can do it.â
âThen, letâs end this fast.â Vivian nodded. âThe Lost Forest.â
Numerous trees emerged from the ground, using the ash on the soil to strengthen their growth. As a result, her ability amplified further.
âOi, oi. Thatâs cheating.â Melissa complained.
Vivian ignored her comment. The branches of the trees grew, approaching Nathan.
Nathan fired the Absolute Bullet, crushing the numerous branches, and the residual power continued toward Vivian. Unfortunately, the forest was similar to the flower from earlier. It absorbed Fenrirâs power and dispersed it.
This was Vivianâs domain after all. Even though Fenrir had the ability to destroy it, actually destroying it was easier said than done.
Nathan landed on the ground and waved his left hand. The claw was extended like a crescent sword strike, cutting many trees, but it wasnât enough to reach her.
âYou should use your element. If you hold back, you wonât be able to reach me.â
âThanks for the suggestion.â Nathan did just that. He used the Time Seal and shot it three times.
Vivian, on the other hand, raised both hands as the trees grew even more. The trees gradually surrounded her and were reinforced by a magic circle.
Time Seal Unlocked.
Guardian of the Forest.
The combination of three Absolute Bullets flew toward the barrier of trees. The clash shook the ground like an earthquake.
The Absolute Bullet was unleashing a force that even made Bella and Melissa on the side move further back. It crushed the trees and cracked the magic circles.
It continued onward as if the trees were nothing in front of it.
Unfortunately, the barrier was much more powerful on the other half.
The moment it clashed, multiple magic circles formed and created a cube. Then, the cubes were divided by four, causing the bullet to be split accordingly.
Now that the bullets had been divided, their power decreased significantly, allowing the barrier to crush them at the same time.
Boom!
The barrier ultimately exploded, but the Absolute Bullet also dispersed.
ââŠâ Nathan was speechless. That bullet was one of his strongest attacks, yet it couldnât even reach Vivian.
âWow. If my opponent is an elite class alien like that giant centipede, I am confident I could at least crush a bit of its carapace, and the blood will spurt out of its body. ButâŠâ Nathan looked at him. The one in front of him is not his teacher, she is the one known as the Forest Queen.
Vivian pointed her wand toward him. A magic circle formed first before it multiplied. Then, a small ball was released from the tip of the wand.
Every time it passed the magic circle, it grew twice the size. It continued to grow until it was as big as Fenrirâs true form. The trees withered a bit as if the strength for that ball came from their own vitality.
Nathan wanted to fire the Absolute Bullet again, but Fenrirâs senses picked up danger from underneath his foot.
He instinctively jumped to the right as vines almost grabbed both his ankles and wrists.
If not for Fenrirâs instinct, he might have lost at that point. In fact, the elite class alien would most likely get hit by an attack that had an equal power with the combination of Time Seal and Absolute Bullets.
Yet, it didnât stop there. The vines turned into one big flower, bloomed, and made an angle so that when the ball reached it, it would bounce toward Nathan.
â!!!â Nathan realized that no matter where he went, the ball would continue to chase after him.
And it wasnât like he could reach Vivian due to her domain. The moment he entered that forest, the trees would expand and capture her.
It was perfect for defense, and Vivian could freely attack him like a fortress. This was the true power of the Forest Queen.
Still, Nathan had a trump card that could overturn the battle.
âI have been wanting to tell you about this, but I guess I should just show itâŠâ Nathan smiled before he vanished into thin air.
â!!!â Melissa and Bella widened their eyes in shock. They couldnât sense Nathanâs presence anymore.
The next thing they realized, Nathan had reappeared behind Vivian.
âTeleportation?!â They recognized that ability, considering they knew how much Evelyn used this ability.
Nathan smiled and punched Vivianâs back. The air cracked as the space erupted. This time, he struck her at point-blank range.
Boom!
That amount of power came crashing down on her as Vivian was unprepared for a space element⊠or so he thought.
The trees started to disappear as if the entire domain had collapsed. There was no reason for Nathan not to believe the earlier strike landed on her.
That was why he was so surprised when Fenrirâs instinct warned him, forcing him to lift up his arms as the powerful ball from earlier actually emerged from the dust cloud.
âKh.â Nathan could feel the immense power from this ball. If this continued, he might be seriously injured.
So, Nathan used the Time Seal on the bomb to slow it down. Due to the violent nature of its energy, the Time Seal cracked right away.
Still, it gave a small time window for Nathan to use his teleportation without getting interrupted by that violent energy.
ââŠâ Nathan widened his eyes. When the dust cloud settled, he could see Vivian perfectly fine. In fact, some flowers bloomed around her, protecting her from the space force. âYou are not surprised by my space element?â
âYou were confident about running away from the Grand Tutor. The only way you could have escaped must have been through teleportation. So, I thought you already had the space element.â Vivian shook her head. âYou tricked me with your words so many times that I instinctively picked up this kind of reasoning.â
ââŠSorry.â Nathan looked away.
âBut letâs end this sparring match here. Even if I can defeat you, I need a lot of time to take you down.â Vivian let out a long sigh. âAt least, I now know that I donât have to worry about you getting injured with that kind of strength. You should have no problem running away from most problems.â
â!!!â Nathan started this sparring match because he wanted to see his strength. But Vivian agreed to this match because she was worried Nathan would be hurt.
Facing such emotion made Nathan feel defeated.
âThis is really not fair.â Nathan scratched the back of his head.
âPfft. You lose to her in another way.â Fenrir laughed in his mind.
Nathan immediately recalled Fenrir before nodding his head. âIn that case, Iâll be off.â
âMhmm. Be careful.â
