Chapter 1281: Struggle
Fenrir leaped toward the elite class alien. The latter turned its hand into a blade and struck him, while Fenrir stopped it with his claws.
Fenrir used his overwhelming size to overpower the alien, but this wasnât his only threat.
Other aliens surrounded him and pounced on him.
Qilinâs bagua appeared next to Fenrir, blocking their charges.
Even though Qilin was strong, he had a hard time blocking the combined attacks of 20 aliens, with three warrior class aliens among them. At least, by himself.
The bagua on the right cracked as one of the aliens created a hole and hit Fenrir.
Seeing Qilin was on their way, the aliens chose to go for Qilin instead of Fenrir.
Fenrir was not going to let it happen. He swung his tail toward them, sending forth absolute force in a crescent shape.
But this was when Qilin showed the next level of his divinity. A bagua appeared in front of him.
The bagua captured it and absorbed it.
âWhat are you doing?â Fenrir shouted, furious. He just wanted to help, but Qilin stopped him.
However, that anger disappeared the moment he saw another bagua appearing underneath Qilinâs feet.
The moment the aliens stepped inside the bagua, an invisible force similar to Fenrirâs absolute force hit them head-on.
The aliens got blasted away, their bodies broken from the impact.
â!!!â Fenrir was surprised. âYou attack others now?â
âTechnically, you are.â Qilinâs response was simple, but Fenrir could finally figure out what happened.
At first glance, it looked like Qilin had attacked the aliens. But if he took a closer look, the power contained in that attack was his absolute force.
However, Qilin used the âHeavenâ and âWindâ characters to change the characteristics of his absolute force so that he could control it. And he released it on the aliens, so technically, it was Fenrirâs power.
His power was similar to Melissaâs, but Melissa analyzed a certain power and broke it down to create a new one. On the other hand, Qilin simply used that power as the foundation and amplified it with the power of the elements in his bagua.
Seeing the distraction, the elite class alien tried to disappear, but Fenrir noticed it right away.
âNo, you wonât!â Fenrir used everything he had to smash the elite class alien. The ground shattered because of the absolute force he used, but he noticed that there was nothing beneath his foot. â!!!â
Fenrir released the force field and blasted his absolute force in all directions. The ground and the trees that received this wave cracked, while low-level aliens got pushed back. Some stronger aliens were able to break through without any problems.
They all attacked Fenrir at the same time. Qilin tried to stop them, but he had to focus on his own battle.
So, Fenrir had no support. In addition, Fenrir couldnât dodge these attacks. He let them land on his body so that he wouldnât lose any of his speed.
He smacked down on the ground, which somehow cracked even though he didnât even touch it.
Underneath him, the elite class alien reappeared. It was struggling against Fenrir.
The alien thought it could get some time to disappear by relying on other aliens, but Fenrir wouldnât allow it. He let the others attack him as long as he didnât lose sight of the most important one.
In other words, the only one who could render him useless was Fenrir.
But other aliens were useful as well. Fenrir sustained a lot of wounds. Although Anubis healed him, the blood he spilled was so much that it covered a third of his body red.
Even with Fenrirâs original regeneration, Fenrir wouldnât last long in this situation.
Fenrir had no other choice. If he let the alien disappear into the crowd, it would be impossible to find him anymore. And the next thing he realized, someone might die because of another sneak attack.
This also meant he had to endure all the attacks from other aliens.
ââŠâ Fenrir clicked his tongue. He had used everythingâhis tail, his force field, and even his absolute forceâto blast all the aliens around him, but there were so many aliens, especially the transformed ones, that he got overwhelmed.
Qilin helped from time to time, but his help was limited as well since he had to repel the aliens coming toward him as well.
The worst part was the fact that there were some aliens that ignored them and climbed up the mountain.
The other side of the mountain was also experiencing the same thing.
Orochi circled his body around the octopus, trying to lock it with his power. However, the enemy was slippery. No matter how hard he tried, the alien couldnât be restrained.
In addition, other aliens were also injuring him.
At the same time, Orochi couldnât care less about them. If the octopus werenât restrained, it would send forth a tentacle to smack Nathan.
With that size, a single slap was all it took for him to ruin their entire plan.
So, Orochi had no choice but to continue his resistance so that the octopus wouldnât have a single chance to send its tentacles to Nathan.
Unfortunately, even the poison breath wasnât effective either.
Kun was his helper, but he couldnât provide much help either. At one point, Kun tried to slam his entire body into the octopus, but the latter actually managed to stop him, showing its overwhelming strength. Then again, their size was roughly the same, and Kun hadnât returned to his true size either.
Hence, most of the time, Kun worked together with Orochi in controlling the storm, allowing him to produce a tornado that pushed away the aliens from Orochiâs back.
Unfortunately, the number was too much, especially the transformed ones.
The situation only got worse with the fact that there was something wrong with the summoning.
â!!!â Fenrir, Qilin, and other divine beasts could feel the incoming lightning strike. They all couldnât help but look away and think the same thing. It would hit.
âNot good!â
âSummoners (Master)!â Everyone couldnât help but warn Nathan at the same time, but it was useless, the lightning had reached its target.
