"Have all of them settled down?" Frequency asked with a serious expression.
"Frequency, you are too cautious. That guy might be amazing, but we donât have to worry about it yet." Lala Sky sighed helplessly.
Fated shook her head and said, "I think he has the right to worry. Even right now, we have two possibilities."
"Do you mean we might die?" Bloody Fiend frowned.
Fated raised her hand and let the pendulum drop. The pendulum started to shake after she infused her energy, but to everyoneâs surprise, the pendulum was spinning uncontrollably like a broken compass.
"What are you doing?" Frequency frowned.
Fated let out a long sigh. "The reaction means we have the possibility of dying, but this kind of uncontrollable behavior... Iâm not entirely sure. There is an interference that stops me from predicting your future."
Frequency crossed his arms and muttered, "It looks like we have to prepare for the worst. Or we might have to retreat back to our base."
"You worry too much. At best, they have Luna Eleren. As long as you can stop her, we will be fine." Soul Eater scoffed.
"Our father doesnât want us to fail, so we have to accomplish our task. Itâs fine if we die. As long as Nathan dies, the sacrifice doesnât matter." Sniper nodded in agreement.
Frequency was not completely convinced. "How about the movement in the dynasty?"
"I havenât gotten any information yet, but from what I can see, there is no movement yet." Fated reassured him.
"Check again. Donât forget that our target has a space element. He could bring those experts to us all of a sudden." Frequency shook his head.
"You donât have to worry. While he can, he definitely doesnât know that all of us have gathered here. We will use these cultists as cannon fodder and try to kill those who are trying to hunt us." Alex Tear smirked. "Iâm ready to kill some alien lackeys."
Frequency let out a long sigh. It was a bit hard to deal with them as their destructive behavior was taking over.
He explained, "In any case, itâs best to be careful. Tell those cultists that if they are able to repel the enemies, they will be recruited to our Death Society."
"Why should we let them join? They are not strong enough." Lala Sky rolled her eyes.
"Itâs just a matter of speech." Bloody Fiend smirked. "Even if they survived, the dynasty and the empire would hunt them down since we told them to go to the Eleren family to handle their recruitment. Most of them would probably die, leaving only those who are strong and skillful enough to survive."
"Oh, thatâs a good idea." Sniper nodded with a serious expression. "In that case, our plan will be simple. We lure them here and ambush them."
"Yes. Even if we canât, try to aim for his women." Frequency raised one finger. "If we capture his women, we might be able to lure him out. For now, we will show an opening like this. If there is a big movement in the dynasty, we will retreat immediately."
They really couldnât argue with Frequency. In the end, Frequency was too cautious. If they argued too much, Frequency would exert his right to take care of them.
After all, Frequency was both the second strongest and the second-in-command in the Death Society. Their father trusted him with all that authority, and it wasnât like they were capable of defeating him.
"Still, something is weird." Frequency muttered, "The cultists in the dynasty have been annihilated?"
"Yes. There is no reaction from them, so they must have been eliminated." Fated nodded.
"All of them?"
"Yes."
"..." Frequency frowned. "Is there a possibility of them knowing our whereabouts or our plan?"
"I donât think so. Our father has made all the arrangements. Andreas can give us information, not the other way around. At most, he knows only about the Eleren family.
"As for the rest, I have heard that everything is handled in the Kraein Temple, but thatâs it. The cultists donât know the connection between the Kraein Temple and Andreas. Besides, Andreas doesnât know our location," explained Fated.
"I see." Frequency contemplated. From the looks of it, Nathanâs group would have hit a dead end even if they had annihilated the cultists. It would be useless to get Andreas because he didnât know much.
Still, their group had disclosed their location by using the cultists as bait, so Nathanâs group would definitely make their move.
Frequency let out a long breath. "In any case, we will just proceed with our plan. However, I will have to add this. If the situation is different from what we imagine, all of us will retreat immediately. Weâll abandon our plan and return to our father."
"Why do we need to retreat? We wonât disappoint our father!" Soul Devourer slammed his hand on the table as he rose from his seat.
Frequency shook his head. "Our father will be more disappointed if we die. Failing the mission is better than having any of you die. Iâm sure thatâs what our father is thinking about."
"Father..." All of them believed his words completely.
"Anyway, keep an eye on the movement. Unfortunately, we canât contact Andreas. However, he will definitely inform us if he gets any important information." Frequency waved his hand. "All of you may rest. Donât forget to pray to our father before sleeping."
"Yes."
Frequency just left the room after handling the matter. In the end, it was quite tiring to talk to them. Fated was usually the most useful one, while the others just wanted to fight and create chaos.
Frequencyâs expression suddenly turned serious as soon as he left the room.
âI donât know whatâs going on, but my instinct is telling me that we are in danger. Has Nathan figured out our plan? Luna Eleren?
âIâm not entirely sure, but after seeing his capability, Iâm afraid that he is the type of person who will come only when he has the chance to win.
âSo, I have to prepare more. No one can tell me Iâm too cautious if I do it during my resting time...â Frequency looked at the door for a moment before shaking his head helplessly, knowing that he had to do it alone.
