"Wedding?" Nathan raised his eyebrows.
The others were quite surprised as well. Selena had gathered them to discuss an important matter. They just never thought it would be a matter about their wedding.
"I donât really want to suggest this, considering we have our time concerns. If the wedding ends up causing us to waste too much time, I donât know what to say anymore."
Selena felt bad because this wedding could actually change the fate of the entire world. Putting it that way made the wedding even crazier.
Nathan didnât think much. Instead, he smiled and said, "Sure. Letâs have the wedding. If everyone doesnât mind us holding the wedding together, letâs have one."
"!!!" Everyone widened their eyes.
"What? Are you sure about this?" Selenaâs jaw dropped.
"Yes." Nathan calmly explained. "Itâs true that we donât have much time, but it doesnât mean that we donât have time for the wedding. It will also ease everyoneâs hearts.
"Since we have to leave this world, we shouldnât leave any regrets." Nathan looked at the girls. "What do you all think?"
Bella raised her hand first. "I personally donât mind. I donât have anyone left in this world, but I still have all of you here. Having a wedding will be good. It is something Iâve been dreaming of. I donât really mind having the wedding together."
Luna nodded in agreement. "I personally donât care about the ceremony, but itâs good to make people feel at ease. If you want to, I can just use the golems to handle the preparation while I do other things. This way, we wonât lose too much time."
Evelyn chuckled. "Thatâs indeed a foolish question. There is no reason not to hold a wedding. This also means this guy wonât escape anymore."
"Me escaping? What are you talking about?" Nathan was startled.
"Iâm talking about you not being able to charm other girls anymore. Make sure to wear the ring on your finger to show it off to other girls." Evelyn smiled slyly.
Nathan could only shake his head helplessly.
"The only problem is probably the royal family." Vivian glanced at Flora. "They need to take care of their reputation, so if there is indeed a wedding, they may want to make it much bigger."
Flora raised her finger. "I donât think that matters. We just have to make a private wedding. Just invite people who weâre close with. In the end, this wedding is not for showing off or anything."
"Now that you mention it, itâs true." Noelle nodded. "Normally, the wedding between nobles needs to invite so many other nobles to show off. But who cares about it among us? There is no need for us to show off, and people already know us. Besides, Nathanâs prestige is known to the entire world. Thatâs what matters."
Alavenya looked up. "I will discuss it with my father, but I think he will be smiling or crying. We are going to a dangerous place, so itâs best not to leave any regrets."
Sera raised one finger. "I can ask the Pope to hold the procession."
Selena was speechless. To her surprise, the others seemed to be pretty eager about the wedding.
It was even more surprising that Nathan actually accepted it so quickly.
"Whatâs wrong? Do you not want the wedding?" Nathan chuckled.
"No. I want the wedding. I just thought you would think about it first. You are pretty rational and weigh the pros and cons in your mind, so..." Selena shrugged, gesturing for him that he knew what would happen next.
"Well, youâre not exactly wrong. However, there are things that you just have to do by following your heart." Nathan smiled. He then turned around. "I assume no one disagrees with holding our wedding."
Seeing no objections, Nathan announced, "In that case, we will hold our wedding. I will ask Qilin to find an auspicious date, possibly right before our trip to another world."
"My father will handle everything for us," Selena added.
"Good. That means we will just have to work a little bit harder in the meantime." Nathan thought for a moment. "Do we have a lot of people to invite?"
"I guess the people coming from my side will be just my father and my teacher since this is a private wedding." Selena couldnât recall any names that she needed to invite.
"I will just ask the Pope. I donât really have anyone else." Sera agreed. "Besides, having our familiars to accompany us is more than enough."
"Yes. I will just ask my father and his assistant to come, so two from me." Alavenya raised her hand.
"I will have to ask a bit too many people, such as my father, my mother, my aunt, and Uncle Coline. Those four are enough. I donât have to invite my brothers and sisters. As long as they know Iâm marrying you, they wonât do anything to me."
Flora said she planned to invite many people, but it turned out to be only four people.
It was true that inviting her brothers and sisters might end up causing a mess. However, this wedding was proof that she didnât intend to compete for the throne.
If she invited one of her siblings, the others would feel she was trying to support that particular sibling, so it was better not to send any invitations.
"I will only ask for my parents and brother," Noelle added.
Luna shook her head. "I donât know. Maybe I can invite my brother. Depending on how long it takes for us to cure him, though. If he is cured at that time, I will invite him. If he is not, I wonât."
"Thatâs a shame. Or should we wait?" Flora asked.
"No, itâs fine. My brother is on another continent anyway." Luna waved her hand. "Besides, I have always prepared myself for this."
"..." Evelyn couldnât say anything to Luna. Instead, she turned to Bella, who had the same answer. "Bella and I donât have anyone to invite, so weâre good. Probably Sage Leyfon as our elder will be good, but Selena has invited him, so..."
Vivian raised one finger. "I also have one. Professor Robert. I guess I should invite Melissa as well. Professor Robert is my mentor in academics after all."
"It looks like weâve made a decision." Nathan smiled.
The wedding had been confirmed.
