2191 Side Story: Fantasy Journey
Victorâs unhappy expression turned into a smile. He shrugged and walked away. He turned on a virtual screen to search for Steppenwolf.
Master Wayne nodded. âIâm going to go fix my armor. It seems some water got in.â
Luke said, âI can help a little.â
As they spoke, they walked to the workbench in the distance.
Diana had already pressed her lips together so many times that they were pink, but she held back her laughter and praised, âCough, cough, what an interesting speech. Also, thank you for the compliment.â
With that, she walked over to Luke and Master Wayne.
Only Barry was left at the scene, busy drinking tea and eating to replenish his blood loss.
Sensing Arthurâs gaze on him, he raised his head blankly. âWhatâs wrong?â
Arthur did his best to put on a fierce expression. âKid, donât mention it, or Iâll chop you up and feed you to the fish.â He then left in a hurry.
Barry blinked innocently. âDid you say something just now? I didnât hear you.â
âŠ
Three hours later, Victor suddenly shouted, âI found him!â
Everybody got up. âWhere?â
Victor said, âPozharnov, northern Russia.â
Master Wayne said, âThere used to be a nuclear power station there. It was abandoned after a major accident 30 years ago. Itâs desolate.â
Looking at the satellite image, Victor shook his head. âBut there are still residents nearby. There arenât many, but itâs still over 1,000 people.â
Everybody couldnât think of anything to say. Who knew if they would be caught up in the battle later?
The main thing was that the number was neither here nor there â it wasnât a lot of people, but still too many to save in one go.
Barry was confused. âThere are people still living there? Wasnât there a nuclear accident?â
Arthur said sagely, âThereâs nowhere to go. They can only stay there. They have no other choice.â
Barry fell silent.
Did the homeless who ate and slept in the open not want to live in big houses? Unfortunately, they could only live in shacks made out of cardboard and plastic sheets.
Master Wayne said, âLetâs go first. We can talk on the plane.â
A moment later, a plane that looked similar to a stingray rose from the underground warehouse of the new base and headed west.
Thanks to money, Master Wayneâs fighter plane could travel close to Mach 3.
They arrived at their destination two hours later.
At that moment, the town called Pozharnov had changed drastically.
The sky was covered in a layer of blood-red dark clouds, and there was a huge defensive dome on the ground, with what looked disgustingly similar to blood vessels squirming over it.
Coupled with the Parademons flying around inside the dome, it was like an insect nest.
The others got off the fighter plane, but Master Wayne didnât. âIâll destroy the tower and the dome so that you can attack.â
Everybody looked at each other and didnât say anything as they watched the plane take off.
Diana looked at Luke. âYou agree with him?â
Luke chuckled. âWhatâs the point of disagreeing? Heâs Batman.â
Less than half a minute later, there was a series of explosions on the blue defensive dome, but it just shook slightly and glowed a little.
The explosions settled, and the defensive dome was intact.
Then, there was a second round of bombardment, but the outcome was the same.
The fighter plane soon flew back and landed in front of everyone.
Master Wayne got out with a dark expression. âIâve already used all the big guns, but I canât break through the dome.â
If they didnât break through the dome, they wouldnât even be able to see Steppenwolfâs face, let alone fight.
With a smile, Diana drew the sword from her back. âThen letâs see what I can do.â
If a powerful bombardment couldnât solve the problem, she could only rely on her divine longsword to break through.
Compared with the advanced technology that she didnât know much about, the battle goddess was very confident in her longsword.
Seeing that, Luke said, âWait a minute. My delivery is here.â
Everybody turned their heads with questioning expressions on their faces.
There was a whistling sound as something black and oval fell from the sky, while there was a distinct black dot in the distance.
It was the transport plane which Luke had been controlling remotely, which had dropped the gear.
Although Luke could use his inventory, he didnât plan to reveal it too soon.
Master Wayne was already very paranoid. If he discovered that Luke had a space ability, how would he deal with him?
Of course, global airdrop support was also a powerful ability, but that was nothing more than money and technology.
Luke had already amply demonstrated his strength in these two areas, and Master Wayne could completely understand.
Under everyoneâs gazes, Luke slowly rose ten meters into the air.
On the gearâs approach, it suddenly slowed down. At the same time, it unfolded like four petals before sticking gently to Lukeâs back.
Compared with what happened in the Battle of New York, this docking assembly was a lot more flexible and intricate.
Of course, this wasnât Lukeâs doing. Tony had worked on this when he was bored and had given it to the Ursa Minor kids as a gift.
...
What could Luke say? Of course he would make use of it too.
The docking sound was actually similar to how the cool robots he had seen on TV as a kid in his previous life were assembled, which was why he hadnât specially eliminated it.
With Tonyâs ready-made technology, the entire process had a very âsci-fiâ feel.
Lukeâs 1.9-meter-tall close-fitting suit hence âexpandedâ to become a metal giant more than 2.5 meters tall.
It had a huge visual impact.
Barryâs eyes lit up.
When Luke landed slowly, Barry flashed to his side. He reached out with a starry-eyed expression. âSo cool! Itâs beautiful, perfect, unbelievableâŠâ
Luke said, âAlright, after we take down Steppenwolf, Iâll help you improve your suit. You can have one for yourself to play with.â
Barry immediately complained, âHow can I play with it? This is a work of art.â
Diana: âŠThen what about the items in my collection?! Are they just paper, metal, mud?
Master Wayne was also very interested, and involuntarily asked, âWhatâs this?â
...
Luke said, âFirepower support gear, version 2.0.â
Master Wayne: âSecond generation?â
Luke said, âMm.â
Master Wayne fell silent.
For someone like him who also played with equipment, the name gave him a rough idea of the gearâs functions.
âFirepower supportâ was the description of its function. 2.0 meant that it was a second generation model, which meant that the technology was more mature.
From the looks of the two shoulder cannons, this set of firepower support gear was at least no weaker than the Batmobileâs heavy firepower.
But that wasnât the end of it.
Luke casually took out two high-tech energy pistols that looked like toy guns and tossed them to him.
Master Wayne caught them and frowned. âTwo guns will affect my movements.â
Luke said, âThe suit has multiple holster modes. Pick a suitable one.â
