Chapter 2036: Nuxâs Weakness.
While Varys passed his Queenâs orders and made the necessary preparations, Sharnoth, who had returned to her mansion and walked into her room, suddenly paused and,
âYour son is becoming a nuisance.â
She commented.
To any normal person, it would look like she was talking to herself since there was no one around her. However, if they stared at her closely, they would realize that Sharnoth was looking in a particular direction, as if she was talking to someone.
âMy relationship with him wasnât always the best.â
The being she was talking to replied.
âI can see that.â
Sharnoth snorted.
âI do not need your confirmation on the matter, I need a solution.â
âDo you not have a solution already?â
Zylarith questioned with a slight frown on his face.
âThat wonât work.â
Sharnoth shook her head.
âIt is merely a desperate attempt to calm my people.
A farce.
A show to tell them that their Queen has not abandoned them, but it will not change anything. Your son is no fool.
He captured my Transcendents in our first encounter. You think he is scared of Primordial Level subordinates I send into Lowest and Low Level Worlds?â
ââŠI did not think he would grow to such an annoying level when I first met him.â
Zylarith admitted.
âHe was barely a Protector when he was about a thousand years old.â
âThatâs slow.â
Sharnoth commented.
âIndeed.â
Zylarith nodded.
âHow did he become a Transcendent then?â
Sharnoth did not understand. A thousand-year-old Protector, a being with potential like that, would never be able to break through to the Transcendent Level through normal means.
âThis is why I still find it hard to believe that he is Transcendent.â
âHe killed or abducted my Transcendent Level subordinates, and they werenât weak, so he isnât either.â
Sharnoth spoke in a solemn tone.
âThis is what surprises me so much.â
âWhy?â
Sharnoth questioned directly.
It didnât matter if that child was a Protector when he was a thousand years old, he is now a Transcendent and that is all that mattered.
Zylarith was never a being who dwelled in the past; Sharnoth did not understand why he was so fixated on this matter.
And Zylarith, who realized what his âdiscipleâ was thinking, decided to reveal the truth,
âI had an encounter with him about five thousand years ago.â
âAnd?â
Sharnoth raised her eyebrow.
âHe defeated Transcendent Level mercenaries I sent after him.â
âWhatâŠ?â
âBack then, I thought he had someone helping him, butâŠ
Now that doesnât seem to be the case.â
âBut you said he was only 6â7000 years old⊠so 5000 years ago, he shouldnât be more than two thousand years oldâŠ
And if he was only a Protector when he was a thousand years old thenâŠ
How did he become a Transcendent⊠in the next thousand yearsâŠ?â
ââŠâ
Zylarith stayed silent, and that silence answered Sharnothâs question.
Her crimson eyes instantly turned cold and,
âHe has the Law of Absolute Growth, doesnât he?â
She questioned directly.
ââŠâ
Again, Zylarith stayed silent, and again, his silence answered the Queenâs question.
âSo he was the oneâŠâ
She muttered; her voice was so chilly that it would send shivers down any of her subordinatesâ spines if they were to hear it.
ââŠâ
Zylarith continued his silence.
He couldnât say anything.
Sharnoth stared at him for a while. A few seconds later, however, her frosty expression flickered and,
âZylarith Chaosveil.â
The Queen called out.
âI do not care if he is your son.
I do not care if he betrayed you.
I do not care if you have any more use for that child,
I only understand that he stands in the way of my revenge, and I need you to help me get rid of him.â
Zylarith stared at his disciple with a complicated look on his face and then,
âI want to get rid of him as well.â
He made up his mind.
All this while, he was still trying to somehow control Nux; after all, that child was his trump card.
However, a card that he couldnât play when he wanted was not a good card.
Nux Leander was getting out of control. There were too many things about him that he could not explain. He was becoming more and more of a variable that he could not calculate, and the rate at which he was growing stronger did not make sense.
There was no pattern around him,
It was better to get rid of him.
âGive me something.â
Sharnoth demanded.
âAnything.
Any weakness.
Tell me everything about him, the world he comes from, the people he is close to. Give me something to act on.
Something he wouldnât be able to evade.â
âHe comes from a world named Yrniel.â
âYrniel?â
Sharnoth narrowed her eyes. Soon, she took out a Call Artifact to pass down her orders, but,
âDo not bother.â
Zylarith shook his head.
Sharnoth glanced at him with a frown, and the Chaos Progenitor revealed,
âYrniel does not exist anymore.â
âSo which world is he anchored to now?â
âI⊠do not know.â
Zylarith shook his head.
âAccording to the reports I got, he has found a way to hide his Law Flow, so his Anchors cannot be found.â
âWhatâŠ?â
Sharnothâs expression changed.
Zylarith nodded,
âEven I do not understand how he did it.â
ââŠSo what you are saying is that⊠he has no weaknesses?â
Sharnothâs expression turned grim.
âNo.â
Zylarith shook his head.
âQuite the contrary, he has one.
A very fatal one.â
âWhat is it?â
âHis love for his wives.â
Sharnoth frowned at that.
âLoveâŠ?â
It was almost as if the concept was completely foreign to her.
âHis love for his wives makes him do things no sane man would ever do. He foolishly considers those women to be his everything.
Capture any one of them and he will come to you himself.
You are then free to do anything you want with them.â
Zylarith grinned menacingly, and Sharnoth narrowed her eyes,
âIf he loves them so foolishly, why would he ever let them go? Wonât he keep them hidden?â
âDo you not hear yourself?
He loves them foolishly, he does not hide them.
Trust me,
Capturing them wouldnât be difficult if you follow my plan.â
âWhat plan?â
Sharnoth questioned, and Zylarithâs grin widened even further.
