Daniel was interested in the foreign energy systems. Rebecca was more excited but also vigilant of the energies around her. She sealed her body and covered her skin in an additional layer of origin energy to protect herself from potential injuries.
The three energies didnât seem dangerous, but Rebecca didnât want to absorb them accidentally in case her Analyzation was a mistake. Daniel, on the other hand, didnât seal his pores. On the contrary, he opened his system to the three unknown energies. They didnât seem dangerous to him, so he might as well experiment with them-
"This is interesting," Daniel muttered, attracting Rebeccaâs attention. She turned around, only to scream at him, "Are you insane?!"
"What?" Daniel asked meekly. He was a god but Rebecca was capable of crushing his confidence instantly. All it took was a single scream.
"Why would you absorb the energies into your system if you donât know what they may do to your energy system? I know they donât seem dangerous, but your energy system is completely different from these three systems. What if the energies cling to your body while your energy system rejects them? This could lead toâ...."
Rebecca was huffing and puffing, but Daniel could only smile faintly.
"The physical energy doesnât do anything. I cannot absorb it. The same happens with this spiritual-attributed energy. They circulate through my energy system and can be expelled easily. Itâs unfortunate that I cannot test their potency, though. I think it would be great to use those energies instead of the mind, soul, and body refinement techniques."
Rebecca sighed, "Itâs good that you donât have any issues. Still, you shouldnât have acted so recklessly."
"I will be more careful when I do reckless things in the future," Danny smiled.
"That doesnât reassure me, AT ALL," Rebecca cursed softly but nodded, "Youâre telling me you will continue your reckless behavior. Thatâs okayâŠI guess I cannot change you either way. Letâs just say that you do this stuff out of my sight. OrâŠno, nevermind. Only do it when Iâm there to help."
Dannyâs smile widened, but Rebecca flicked his forehead.
"Letâs not talk about it. What is with this magical energy? You said the physical and spiritual ones arenât accepted by your energy system. Does that mean the magical one has been accepted?"
"Yep. Thatâs about it," Daniel nodded.
The magical energy could be integrated into his energy system. It wasnât like origin energy, but it worked decently. In fact, it didnât work well to enhance his physical strength, not even when he used Foundation Break. That was weird, yet not really. Daniel used his Divinity with magical energy instead of Essence as an experiment. He conjured a blade with the magical energy and quickly realized that it was almost as powerful as his Essence-conjured blade.
Daniel shared his experience with Rebecca, who took note of everything in great detail.
"Tell me more about its properties. You should be able to tell me the faintest difference between origin energy, your Essence, and the magical energy. How potent is the magical energy, what is its greatest strength, and what is its biggest weakness? How can you utilize it in the most efficient way? Tell me everything, Daniel!" She exclaimed, forgetting about Dannyâs reckless attitude.
She approached him with the holographic notepad in her hands. Her eyes glimmered in utter excitement, and she licked her lips as if sheâd just found a delicacy.
"If you look at me like that, I wonât be able to concentrate. Iâd rather tear your clothes apart and have some fun with you if you keep at itâ..."
Daniel was not surprised when Rebecca punched him in the stomach. The punch wasnât fierce, but it hurt regardless.
"Pervert," Rebecca snorted, her cheeks flushed red.
"That was a joke," He said hurriedly.
"No, it wasnât. I know youâre not lying about stuff like that."
"Yeah. It wasnât a joke," Danny laughed awkwardly.
"I know. So, tell me about the magical energy and its properties up to the finest detail, or there wonât be anything between us for a long time." She still blushed, but the look in her eyes told Danny how serious she wasâdead serious.
That being said, Daniel focused on the serious part of their exploration mission. He told Rebecca everything he knew about the magical energy and focused on a few more aspects before she was certain the energy wouldnât hurt her either. Rebecca proceeded to access the magical energy and absorbed it as well.
Her experiments lasted several hours, and she devised even more long-term experiments to determine how well the magical energy would integrate into the origin system if it was kept there for an extended period of time.
"Can we visit the planet now? Iâm curious about the intelligent life here. Can they use all three systems, or did they awaken different energy systems? What about the monsters? How did they evolve with so many different energy systems?" Daniel asked after a while. He was truly curious. How strong were other lifeforms? Was their prowess higher if they only used one of those energies? How strong were they physically if they only used the spiritual and magical energy? What if they could only use the physical energy?
There were so many questions and only so few answers. However, Daniel was excited nonetheless. He was curious to find out more about the unknown.
"Since when have you been so excited about researching stuff? That doesnât seem like you," Rebecca frowned deeply, but Danny only shrugged with a mysterious smile.
"Who knows? Maybe your weirdness is contagious."
"Now it is my fault you are weird? Forget it! You and Michael are much weirder than I am! Compared to you and your brother, I am an innocent lamb!"
"Innocent? Yesterday night, you were anything but innocent," Danny teased Rebecca, who punched him again.
Okay. That was deserved.
Daniel couldnât help but smile seeing Rebecca blush like that.
He loved this woman way too much!
