Itâs definitely Candyâs doing, no doubt about Bun.
For one thing, the cake box is obviously opened by a person. If it were Bun, thereâd be a bite hole instead of a neatly opened box.
Besides, the cake has been on the table all morning, and Bun hasnât even glanced at it.
Itâs been there all day, and Bun hasnât looked at it once.
Box or no box, Bun wouldnât spare it a glance.
For Bun, who is a lazy eater, thereâs no point in looking at something it wonât eat.
Mo Jingchun walked up behind Candy and turned her around with a mock serious face.
Looking at the little cat-like Candy, Mo Jingchun nearly burst into laughter but needed to maintain his serious composure, almost getting an internal injury from holding it in.
The urge to laugh without being able to is a real struggle!
With cream still on her face and no time to wipe it off, chubby-faced Candy looked innocently at the stern-faced Mo Jingchun.
Her pursed lips were Candyâs last stand.
Her eyes darted around, avoiding Mo Jingchunâs gaze, seeming to say: It wasnât me, donât accuse me [about to cry].
"Who did it?"
Thinking herself clever, Candy blinked innocently, believing she covered her tracks perfectly.
"It was Bun who ate the cake."
"Bunâs amazing, it ate so much," Candy gestured with her cream-smeared hands to show the size.
"Bun ate it, huh?"
"Mmm-hmm-hmm~" Candy nodded smiling.
Just as Guoguo imagined it would be.
But Candyâs joy didnât last three seconds before Mo Jingchun exposed her.
Mo Jingchun pinched Candyâs cheek, tenderly saying, "Candy, kids who lie arenât good kids, okay?"
Candy opened her mouth to claim Bun ate it, but seeing her brotherâs expectant eyes, she swallowed her words.
"Sorry, brother."
"I was the one who ate the cake, it wasnât Bunâs fault." Admitting her mistake, Candy lowered her head, fiddling with her hands, tears welling up.
Seeing Candy cry, Mo Jingchun felt a bit sorry.
He crouched down and wiped her tears, "Guoguo, if you ever want something to eat, drink, or play with, just tell brother, okay?"
"Iâm not upset you ate the cake, just a bit mad you lied to me."
"That cake was meant for you, who else would it be for, right, Guoguo?"
At his words, Candyâs tears fell faster, and she sobbed more intensely.
"Waaah~"
Candy rushed into Mo Jingchunâs arms, crying her heart out.

"Guoguo... Waaah~ I wonât do it again."
Mo Jingchun picked Candy up, patting her back to calm her down.
After more than ten minutes, the spacious office fell quiet, with Candy asleep slumped on Mo Jingchunâs shoulder.
Mo Jingchun didnât mind the stains on his clothes left by Candy.
After adjusting the air conditioning up a degree, he glared at Bun, who was still licking its foreleg fur on the table.
Bun, now glared at, looked bewildered.
Bun: What did I do wrong this time, human servant? Why are you glaring at me?
Canât you see my fur isnât even cleaned up?
After glaring at Bun, Mo Jingchun didnât linger, but carried Candy to the bedroom at the back of the office, laying her on the unused bed and covering her with a blanket.
Stepping out of the bedroom, Mo Jingchun started tidying up the mess.
Seeing Bun still getting in the way licking its fur, Mo Jingchunâs temper flared, making him glare at Bun again.
Bun, glared at once more, grew even more confused.
It even wondered if the human servant was ill, and not just a little ill.
Otherwise, why the random glaring for no reason?
"You too, just sat there watching Candy eat the cake, without stopping her."
"Right, with your laziness expecting you to help is less reliable than a pig."
"Even a pig isnât as lazy as you."
"If it werenât for Candy, humph, I wouldnât even have brought you to Jing City." Mo Jingchun was just venting; after living under one roof for a year, to say there were no feelings would be a lie.
Mo Jingchun is flesh and blood, full of emotions.
Observing Mo Jingchun wipe the table, Bun silently jumped down and curled up in a corner, disregarding Mo Jingchunâs mutterings.
Finally, after getting the table clean, Mo Jingchunâs lips twitched at the sight of the now hideous cake.
Especially with Candyâs little handprints still on it.
Mo Jingchun picked up the landline and dialed reception.
"Boss, how can I help you?"
"Have the cleaning lady come up, please, to tidy up my office."
"Alright, boss."
After hanging up, the receptionist immediately used the walkie-talkie to call.
"Mrs. Cai, Mrs. Cai, please respond if you can hear me."
After some static interference, an older ladyâs voice came through the walkie-talkie.
"What is it, girl?"
"Mrs. Cai, could you please go to the bossâs office for some cleaning?"
"Got it."
On the sixth floor, Mrs. Cai clipped the walkie-talkie and murmured to herself, "I cleaned it this morning, didnât I?"
"Didnât clean it thoroughly? Impossible."
Since itâs the bossâs office, everyone naturally pays more attention.
Shaking her head, Mrs. Cai pushed her cleaning cart and swiped her card for the elevator to the top floor.
Knock, knock, knock~
Hearing the knock, Mo Jingchun looked up at the office door.
"Auntie, youâre here."
"Please help me clear this up."
Mrs. Cai placed the unwanted cake on her cart and wiped Mo Jingchunâs desk one more time.
Only then did she leave Mo Jingchunâs office.
Soon after the cleaning lady left, there was another knock at the door.
Knock, knock, knock~
Thinking the auntie had returned, Mo Jingchun looked up to find it wasnât her, but Xu Pengfei, dressed in a suit, standing at the door.
His slicked-back hair actually gave off a bit of style.
"Come in."
The office and bedroom had soundproofing, so voices couldnât be heard from the bedroom.
"Boss, doesnât the big office make you feel a bit lonely?" Xu Pengfei joked as he handed over the documents.
Mo Jingchun glanced at Xu Pengfei and replied, "Your office is only slightly smaller than mine, whatever you feel, I feel too."
