“What are you thinking about?” “Getting married!”

When adults encountered such a thing, they would usually go their separate ways after that and pretend they do not know each other if they were to meet again. It was an unspoken rule.

“Get in the car!” Chu Liyuan said in an authoritative voice that sounded like an order.

“There’s no need. I’ll take a cab,” Jian Dan rejected.

“Get in! You won’t be able to get a cab here!”

Chu Liyuan stepped on the brakes and stopped the car. He looked at the woman beside him and realized that her gaze was fixed on the marriage registration office by the roadside.

She was still young, but she was staring at the marriage registration office in a daze. This did not make sense.

“What are you thinking about?” Chu Liyuan looked at Jian Dan—who was staring blankly at the marriage registration office—and asked.

“Getting married!” Jian Dan blurted subconsciously.
