Simon spent approximately three hours going through the information that was available in his Grave Mark.
He memorized and studies the laws of the clan, the portion of the clanâs map that was available to him, the structure of the clan, and so many more to never be ignorant.
If not for the fact that his soul and mind was a lot more powerful than his peers, he would have spent far longer going through his Grave Mark.
"Classes start tomorrow, and the first class in the morning is cultivation and breathing techniques."
Simon said softly as he looked at the window where he could see the platforms hung by chains in the air.
"We only have six minutes to get to the class after the first bell rings in the morning, and anybody thatâs late would be punished."
âFrom what I saw, the class is pretty far from my room. But for Thorgan and the Sunless who are now first placed and second placed, they could walk to the class and not get there late.â
Simon shook his head and decided that tomorrowâs problems would be tomorrowâs problems.
For now, he had something important he wanted to do after going through his Grave Mark.
"I hope I have enough merits to get that information."
Simonâs eyes flashed with a cold and sharp light, then he stood and walked to his bed.
He picked up his mask, wore it, then he walked to his door.
He opened it, walked out of the room, then he closed the door.
The moment he closed his door, he frowned and looked to the side.
He saw three of his classmates walking toward him with cold gazes through their masks.
âHmm? Killing intent?â
He turned, and without saying or doing anything, he walked toward them since they were actually on the path he wanted to take.
The moment he tried to walk past them, one of them brought out his dagger and the other two quickly held his arms tightly.
"Die."
The Initiate with the dagger stabbed his dagger at Simonâs heart with unveiled killing intent.
However, before the dagger could even touch Simonâs clothes, something which he did not expect happened.
Puchi!
"Huh?"
The Initiate had wide eyes that were full of shock and disbelief as he stared at his comrade which he had just stabbed in the chest instead of Simon.
The Initiate who was stabbed also stared at the dagger on his chest with a shocked expression.
In one moment, he was holding Simonâs right arm, but in the next moment, Simonâs leg tripped him forward.
And in that instant that Simon tripped him, he swung forward by the arm he was holding, causing him to be stabbed instead of Simon.
Simon did not care about his classmateâs reaction or the condition of the stabbed Initiate.
He swung his free right arm at the chest of the other Initiate who held his left arm.
Bang!
The Initiate shook and stumbled backward, nearly falling off the ledge, but Simon grabbed him and threw him on the wall.
Bang!
Without wasting a single moment, his feet moved, and he turned and swung his fist on the face of the Initiate with the dagger.
Although he was wearing a mask, the force which Simon used was not little. It rattled his skull, and he staggered to the side, also nearly falling off the ledge.
And just like the previous Initiate, he swung the Initiate at the wall.
Bang!
"Urgghh!"
The two Initiates groaned, and in the next moment, Simon stood in front of them with a cold gaze behind the broken smile mask.
His gaze combined with the broken smile on his mask terrified them, and they could not help but tremble in fear.
But a few seconds later, the one who wanted to stab him with a dagger gritted his teeth behind the mask and glared at him.
"You bastard. You dare to lay your hands us as a slave? Do you think you can kill us and get away with as a slave?"
Simon calmly raised a brow. "You wanted to kill me because Iâm a slave?"
"Youâve forgotten what you did?!" The Initiate glared at Simon with hatred, anger, and killing intent.
Simon tilted his head slightly, and he was truly confused.
What had he done?
He had not done anything or interacted with anyone besides Thorgan after the second trial ended.
He decided to ask.
"And what did I do?"
The Initiate gritted his teeth in anger, and it was loud enough for Simon to hear.
He remained indifferent to the childâs anger.
"You- you-you!"
The Initiate could not properly form words because he was so furious. Another thing that infuriated him was Simonâs indifferent and nonchalant tone.
"You ambushed all of us when we tried to escape the Region of Death in the second trial. We were confused back then because we had no idea what happened and why we woke up unconscious, but after putting two and two together, we realized that you were the culprit since thereâs no other way you could have gathered so many points without doing that."
The other Initiate who Simon had punched on the chest decided to explain. Though his voice was calm, Simon could see the anger and hatred in his eyes.
Meanwhile, Simon was enlightened.
"Ohh. I see now."
That was all he said with an indifferent tone, and the eyes of the two Initiates widened in disbelief.
"Thatâs all? I hope you know that because of your actions, a lot of people either got very little points or failed to pass the second trial and were forced to become Whisperers?"
"You are hated by a lot of our classmates, and many want to kill you, not even hurt you because they know that the punishment theyâd get for killing you would not be so severe since-"
"Since Iâm a slave. Yeah. I get. You donât have to explain it to me." Simon indifferently cut off the second Initiate, causing not only the two Initiates but the third stabbed Initiate to look at him with a stunned expression.
"You say all of that, but the question is if any of you would even be able to kill me."
