She quickly and anxiously answered the call.

Shao Wen was staring at her from the side, afraid she would run away.

"Hello."

"Sis, where are you now? Xiao Yuan and I are already waiting for you at the school gates, hurry over."

"Okay, I’ll be there right away."

Si Linna hung up and said to Shao Wen, "My sister is waiting for me at the school gates, I must go quickly."

Anning didn’t give the bag to Si Linna, instead she sent her off.

Shao Wen also wanted to send Si Linna away, so he smiled and said, "You go get the car, I’ll stay here with your sister."

Si Linna had no choice but to take her bag and get the car.

As soon as she left, Shao Wen asked Anning, "What’s your relationship with Lina? I remember she only has a brother, no sister."

Anning crossed her arms and studied Shao Wen, "Professor Shao’s question is quite broad, but what is your relationship with my sister?"

Anning nodded, "Yes, she got divorced, after being deceived for so many years. Knowing her marriage was a scam, of course she’d divorce. What else could she wait for, to be completely drained?"

Shao Wen listened, feeling more confused, "What’s going on exactly?"

Anning had long sensed the unusual relationship between Shao Wen and Si Linna, and she didn’t hide the fact. She directly told him about how Shi Ye and Yan Anhua set a trap to deceive Si Linna, "After everything happened, even my nephew advised my sister to endure it. But who could endure such a disgusting situation? Anyone would want a divorce. My sister had guts, she left without asking for anything."

"What’s your phone number?"

Shao Wen figured Si Linna would soon return with the car, so he quickly asked for Anning and Xiao Yuan’s numbers.

He smiled at them, "Feel free to reach out if you need anything."

Just then, Si Linna drove the car over. Xiao Yuan loaded the luggage onto the car, and Shao Wen took the chance to say a few words to Si Linna. Watching Anning and Xiao Yuan board the car, Si Linna drove off before returning to the school.

On his way back to the dormitory, Shao Wen’s phone wouldn’t stop ringing.

He saw the caller was Mrs. Shao.

He helplessly answered.

Mrs. Shao’s voice came through, "Ah Wen, I’ve asked your aunt to introduce someone to you. Are you free tomorrow? Go meet her. She sounds like a great girl; she’s a teacher like you..."

Shao Wen quickly declined, "Mom, didn’t I say not to introduce anyone to me."

"If I don’t, you won’t date anyone. When will you get married? Your dad and I are still waiting to have grandchildren."

Mrs. Shao began her usual old talk.

Shao Wen moved the phone slightly away, waited for her to finish, then said, "I have someone I like already. Tell my aunt that the blind date should be canceled."

"What?"

Mrs. Shao exclaimed, "Son, really? You really have someone you like? What does she do? How old is she? Where is she from? When will you bring her home to meet us?"

Anning and Xiao Yuan sat in the car, Si Linna turned back to glance at them, "There’s lunch in the thermos on the back seat. You two eat a little first, and I’ll take you for delicious food when we reach the town."

"Okay."

Anning found the thermos containers and opened them.

Inside were two large thermos containers, one had seaweed rice balls, and the other contained shrimp and greens.

Anning gave one of the rice balls to Xiao Yuan, "My sister makes great rice balls. Try it."

Xiao Yuan took a bite with a smile. He used the disposable chopsticks to pick shrimp and fed Anning.

The two were happily feeding each other.

Si Linna saw them in the rearview mirror, which brightened her mood as well.

She thought youth was so wonderful, seeing Anning and Xiao Yuan so close and loving made her feel so much younger.

Back then, her relationship with Shao Wen was equally good. She once thought she would marry Shao Wen, build a little home together, share all the ups and downs of life like most couples, but fate played tricks on them, and they couldn’t be together. She was deceived into marrying into the Yan family, living many years in a peaceful yet numb state.

"You two, slow down, don’t choke."

Si Linna smiled and advised, "There’s a water bottle in the pouch behind the front seat, and it contains the fruit tea I made. Remember to drink some."

Anning actually choked, and Xiao Yuan quickly opened the water bottle for her. She gulped down a mouthful of fruit tea and finally felt better.

Xiao Yuan also patted her back, "Eat slowly, finish the rice ball first, and I’ll eat what’s left."

"We’ll split it half and half."

Anning didn’t hog the food, she gave one more rice ball to Xiao Yuan, "I haven’t had my sister’s rice balls for so long, I really miss them."

She regrettably said to Si Linna, "Sis, if you move back to the countryside, no one will make food for me anymore. What will I do when I crave your food?"

Si Linna shook her head with a smile, "What else can you do? You should learn to cook yourself."

Anning let out a wail, "I want to eat my sister’s food. Her cooking is the best, and I don’t want to cook. I’m not good at it, and I hate cooking."

Xiao Yuan smiled at Anning, "I’ll learn from sis to make rice balls for you."
