Yang Chuxia shot him a glance, observing his hands that seemed powerful enough to knock on steel, and said in a tone both haughty and coquettish, "Mrs. doesnāt feel like doing anything meaningful today."
"Oh, then what does Madam want to do?"
"I," Yang Chuxia started, and while speaking, she hooked Ye Ziāanās chin, slowly getting closer and closer to him, close enough to touch lips. Suddenly she stuck out her tongue and licked Ye Ziāanās lips, then quickly drew back and declared, "I want to go see my son now, and then sleep, hahaha."
"Little demon, you really know how to ignite the flame," he said resentfully as she left, laughing merrily.
Ye Ziāan followed her shortly afterward, continuing to leave little Yangyang to sleep in his own room. When Yangyang saw his father, he greeted him with a big smiling face.
"My good son, tell Daddy, have you started recognizing people? Otherwise, why do you always smile when you see me?"
Yangyang responded with a tiny fist.
"Youāre overthinking it. How could he recognize anyone so soon? Heās only two months old."
"No, I think our son has started to recognize people," Ye Ziāan insisted, finding it hard to explain why his son always smiled at him otherwise. "Our son is really smart. And Lele, tooāevery time I read to him, he listens intently."
"Donāt be silly, alright? Listening intently? You think Lele is a prodigy or what?"
"Itās not impossible. I read to him every day, and once Iām gone, youāll continue to read. Who knows, by the time he starts talking, he might already be eloquent," Ye Ziāan said, touching the little oneās head with great anticipation.
And Lele, usually not one for too much expression, actually returned a smile.
"See that, see that?" Ye Ziāan excitedly pulled at Yang Chuxia. "He must be responding to my saying that he might be eloquent."
"Keep dreaming. The babyās happy, so youāre happy. Keep enjoying yourself here; Iām going back to sleep."
The baby was two months old, and it was perfectly normal for him to laugh consciously when teased.
After Yang Chuxia had returned to her room and taken a nap, she woke up to find that Ye Ziāan hadnāt come back yet. She wondered if he could still be in the kidsā room.
So she went to check and found him sleeping next to the kidsā little bed.
This really made her both laugh and cry.
"Brother An..." she nudged him gently.
Ye Ziāan awoke, still looking slightly dazed. When he realized he had fallen asleep in his sonās room, he found it amusing.
"Xiaxia," he suddenly asked, "do you think itās a good idea to travel with a two-month-old baby?"
"What? Changed your mind?"
Ye Ziāan stepped forward, embracing her as they left the childrenās room, "I canāt bear the thought! Heās so little, so delicate; the thought of him being able to call me āDaddyā next time we meet makes my heart ache."
A moment later, however, he added, "Letās wait till theyāre a bit bigger. Itās too tiring and bumpy on the road. If the child gets hurt, it would be too much of a loss."
Yang Chuxia nodded in agreement, "Iāve thought it over these past few days. The children are indeed too young for traveling. How about we wait until after the New Year, when theyāll be nearly a year old? Then I can bring them to you. Moreover, if we decide to take the children with us now, I bet my mother wouldnāt agree, and that would break her heart."
Speaking of Ms. Wangās fondness for her grandchildren, it was even greater than their own parental affection. If she were to learn that they planned to take such young children on a trip, she would certainly not be happy.
