Chapter 1650: Chapter 1747: Do you know the Demon Saint Jin Zhulong?
On a treacherous mountain peak, the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion stood there, carrying a Sword Box on his back, gazing at the distant Black Winged Dragon Roc with a trace of surprise in his eyes.
âI never thought even this old demon would be stirred. It seems this is not the time to approach rashly,â the Pavilion Master muttered softly to himself.
Behind him stood the Eight Swordsmen, each hanging their heads in silence, bearing injuries on their bodies.
âPavilion Master, it is our incompetenceâwe failed to capture that boy,â a female martial artist wielding a short sword spoke, her tone laced with guilt.
The Pavilion Master chuckled lightly, âYou canât be blamed for this. I truly didnât expect that boy to be hiding so deeply; even I misjudged him.â
âMr. Dragon Elephant has already returned from the Extreme North Land; why doesnât the Pavilion Master bring him here as well?â the woman asked.
The Pavilion Master shook his head, âHe has other matters to attend to. A mere Fang Lin is not worth the full mobilization of the experts from the Sealing Sword Pavilion.â
âUnderstood,â the woman answered, refraining from further words.
The Pavilion Master crossed his arms before him, his lips curled into a faint smile, but his eyes harbored a profound depth.

In the distance, Fang Lin stood face-to-face with the Black Winged Dragon Roc. The latter loomed high above, its Demon Qi surging to the skies, oppressing Fang Lin such that his entire body tensed, yet he did not retreat a single step, staring back at the Black Winged Dragon Roc with unwavering fearlessness.
âA mere humanâhow could you possibly receive the Sacred Treeâs blessing? You are deceiving me!â the Black Winged Dragon Roc spoke angrily.
Fang Lin snorted coldly, âYou are a Nine-Transformation Ancient Demonâsurely you have lived for tens of thousands of years. The Sacred Tree of your Demon Beast clan only bestows its power upon those it acknowledges. Without its recognition, even if you guard it day and night, you wouldnât attain a shred of its power.â
âFurthermore, thereâs an exceptionally strong aura of True Dragon Qi within you. Itâs as though your body contains True Dragon fleshâhow do you explain that?â the Black Winged Dragon Roc asked coldly.
Fang Lin grinned, âDonât you also carry the power of True Dragon within you?â
âHuman, answer meâyouâre not qualified to question me,â the Black Winged Dragon Roc scornfully glanced at Fang Lin, clearly assuming the superior stance.
Fang Linâs expression remained unchanged, his tone firm, âAnd yet, you possess only the meager diluted bloodline of the True Dragonâhow dare you interrogate me?â
At these words, a terrifying surge of Demon Qi descended in an instant. Fang Lin felt his body shake violently, yet he gritted his teeth and persisted, refusing to succumb.
This burst of Demon Qi came as quickly as it dissipatedâclearly, the Black Winged Dragon Roc had no true intention of attacking Fang Lin; otherwise, it wouldnât have been mere thunder with no rain.
âA human, possessing both True Dragon Qi and the Sacred Treeâs power. It seems you are no ordinary individual,â the Black Winged Dragon Roc said, its colossal head turning to glance at a distant mountain peak.
âHuman warriors watching for so longâdo you truly think I would not rage?â the Black Winged Dragon Roc remarked.
âLetâs go; I donât want to clash with this old demon for now,â the Pavilion Master chuckled, leading the Eight Swordsmen away, disappearing from that mountain peak in an instant.
Fang Lin secretly marveled; he hadnât even noticed anyone present on that mountain peak earlier, yet the Black Winged Dragon Roc had discovered them long ago.
That wasnât because of Fang Linâs inattentiveness; rather, he had been solely focused on guarding against the Black Winged Dragon Roc before him, leaving no room to sense the surroundings.
âHuman, since youâve come this far, the Sacred Treeâs power and the True Dragonâs might within you must now be surrendered to me. Only then will you be allowed to live,â said the Black Winged Dragon Roc, its tone brooking no resistance.
Fang Linâs face darkened; so, in the end, this old demon merely coveted the Sacred Qi and True Dragon power within him.
Yet, this Black Winged Dragon Roc was undoubtedly cunningânot like the Tentacle Ancient Demon or Wind Thunder Hawk that would attack outright. Instead, it probed Fang Linâs depths, attempting to assert dominance.
Should Fang Lin choose resistance and struggle, the Black Winged Dragon Roc would certainly strike. Should he yield, however, the Roc could easily claim Fang Linâs powers outrightâand whether Fang Lin would live depended on whether the Roc would keep its promise.
At its core, the Black Winged Dragon Roc wasnât truly underestimating Fang Lin; rather, it harbored some apprehension toward him.
Even though the Black Winged Dragon Roc held absolute advantages in both realm and power, an atypical human warrior bearing the Sacred Treeâs force and True Dragon Qi, along with considerable mastery of flame, could not be judged by common sense.
Having lived for tens of thousands of years, the Black Winged Dragon Roc believed caution was always warranted when facing such an abnormal human.
Fang Lin took a deep breath, gazing coldly at the Black Winged Dragon Roc without a word, though his stance clearly refused submission.
The Black Winged Dragon Roc chuckled coldly, âWhat now? Do you intend to fight me?â
Fang Lin sneered in return, âWhat if I do?â
The Black Winged Dragon Rocâs eyes glinted as it flapped its massive wings. A boundless oppressive power descended on Fang Lin, as though a succession of heavy hammers were striking his body.
Despite his True Dragon Physique, Fang Lin felt overwhelming discomfort, his throat tightening as he struggled against an urge to cough up blood.
âBlack Winged Dragon Roc! Do you remember Jin Zhulong?â Fang Lin suddenly roared.
The roar froze the Black Winged Dragon Roc in its tracks. Its eyes locked onto Fang Lin.
âWhat are you saying?â the Black Winged Dragon Roc bellowed, Demon Qi shooting into the Nine Heavens, its roar reverberating across the vast mountains and rivers.
Fang Linâs eyes glowed red, shouting, âIn the past, a human achieved the rank of Demon Saintâyou Demon Beasts hailed him as your lord! Have you, Black Winged Dragon Roc, spent countless ages hiding in these ten-thousand mountains, already forgotten him?â
Staring blankly at Fang Lin, the Black Winged Dragon Roc had not anticipated hearing Jin Zhulongâs name from him.
âWhy would you mention Lord Demon Saint?â the Black Winged Dragon Roc regained itself, staring at Fang Lin with suspicion.
âI merely ask you, if Jin Zhulong were still alive, would you, Black Winged Dragon Roc, still follow him and battle for the Demon Beast clan?â Fang Lin asked coldly.
The Black Winged Dragon Roc replied blankly, âLord Demon Saint is dead.â
âDead? Do you truly think Jin Zhulong, the Saint among demons who once destroyed the ancient giants, would fall so easily?â Fang Lin questioned.
âYouâre saying Lord Demon Saint is still alive? How is that possible?â The Black Winged Dragon Roc exclaimed in disbelief.
Fang Lin roared with laughter, âHe has never died!â
The Black Winged Dragon Roc studied Fang Lin, traces of doubt mingling with subtle change in its gaze.
âSo youâre saying all this just to make me spare you?â the Black Winged Dragon Roc queried.
âI merely lament for him. You, Black Winged Dragon Roc, who once followed Jin Zhulong to conquer the heavens and earth, now confine yourself here, terrorizing locals at will; if he knew, heâd be even more disappointed in you,â Fang Lin replied.
