Chapter 2099: Wiped Out and the Spirit Chasing Plan (3)

“How am I supposed to explain this to the elders of the Sanctuary?!”

“Great Elder, give me another 60 Nine Satellites Planetary realm experts and lend me a spiritual treasure. I will definitely be able to wipe out the Nine Satellites Planetary realm experts!” Xu Zhijia suddenly said.

Xu Yi was so angry that he almost laughed. “Zhijia, do you know the consequences of this matter? Do you know what I’m considering now? What I’m considering now is how to protect you during the Sanctuary’s Elder Meeting! They had all been wiped out. You sacrificed a third of the main battle force of the Spiritual Race. Who would bear this responsibility? Who will apologize?” Xu Yi was so angry that his fingers were trembling.

“Great Elder, give me another 60 Nine Satellites and lend me a spiritual treasure. I’ll be able to explain how I wiped out the Blue Star Expeditionary Force!” Xu Zhijia said.

“You… Do you know? I can guarantee that Tu Hou and the others are already on their way to the Sanctuary to gather the main elders for a meeting! Can you wipe out the Blue Star Expeditionary Force in half a day?” Xu Yi asked.

Xu Zhijia shook his head. “Half a day is not enough.”

“How long will that take?”

“The fastest is three to five days, and the slowest is half a month! If the Blue Star Expeditionary Force doesn’t retreat to their homeland!” Xu Zhijia said honestly.

“You…” Great Elder Xu Yi was so angry that he almost laughed. “Think about how to tide over the crisis in front of you first!”

“Elder, Second Master… has sent an official military intelligence report!” Xu Shifeng’s anxious voice sounded.

Xu Yi was stunned. Anger appeared on his face. “Every time this happens, their damn noses will be sharper than the other!”

“Elder, Fourth Master, Fifth Master, and Sixth Master have sent over a military intelligence report at the same time. They request that Commander Xu immediately release a detailed battle report and make the corresponding arrangements and responses.

“Elder, the Seventh Master has sent a military intelligence report and suggested to the Sanctuary that we block the information immediately. They said that if news of such a huge loss of the Nine Satellites spread, it might cause a commotion in the borders and trigger a series of chain reactions.” Xu Shifang reported again, his expression turning extremely ugly.

Xu Yi had put everything on speaker so that Xu Zhijia could hear it. However, Xu Zhijia did not care about this. “Great Elder, this might be our last chance to completely annihilate the enemies of the Blue Star.

According to the information we had obtained during the battle just now, all the elites of the Blue Star, including Cai Shaochu, Ullr, Xu Tui, Erera, Augustus, and so on, were in the expeditionary army.

It could be said that the Blue Star had sent all their elites to the expedition. If we could destroy them, it would be effortless for us to invade the Blue Star in the future.

“However, if we miss this opportunity and give them a little more time to grow, with the combat strength that the Blue Star Expeditionary Force has displayed all day, it will probably be impossible to wipe them out in the future.”

“You heard it too. Go and persuade Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh to retreat. I’ll continue to support you in the battle. No matter what, your surname is Xu! As long as there’s a chance, I will choose to support you. However, I am only the Great Elder, not the Sage of the Sanctuary.” The call ended with a long sigh from Great Elder Xu Yi. He stood with his hands behind his back. After a while, he let out another long sigh and said, “Shifang, do you think we can protect Zhijia? Should I protect him?”

The confidentiality director, Xu Shifang, pondered for a while before saying, “Elder, Commander Xu’s surname is Xu after all. Moreover, even if we lose a match, no one can replace the prestige of the military. As long as Commander Xu is in power, all the forces of the military will not dare to do anything!”

“That’s right. His surname is Xu!” Xu Yi let out a long sigh. “But the problem is that we have to pay a huge price to protect him.”

Xu Shifang nodded gently. “Elder, Second Master has already requested to convene an emergency meeting of the main elders at the last minute through the privileges of the second main elder. The topic is the annihilation of the main force of the Nine Satellites of the Central Star Field Army.”

…

With the second main seat elder, Tu Hou, taking the lead, the emergency meeting of the main seat elders was naturally held as scheduled. As soon as the meeting was held, it was a barrage of attacks. He could confirm that the other main elders had already received accurate news of the casualties.

Of course, the casualties on Xu Zhijia’s side were not a secret. After all, there were the 20 surviving Nine Satellites Planetary realm experts and many Eight Satellites at the scene.

Even Great Elder Xu Yi could not hide such a thing. If they could hide the matters of the military and turn it from black to white, the Spiritual Race would really be corrupted to the bone.

At the venue of the meeting, Great Elder Xu Yi felt aggrieved the entire time. He did not have the strength of Zhao Gao, who had the ability to distort facts in Huaxia’s history. The number of Nine Satellites Planetary realm experts who died in this battle was really shocking.

79 people had completely died! Including the other 14 who had lost their bodies, there were nearly 100 people from the Spiritual Race’s Nine Satellites Planetary realm.

What did that mean? It was similar to a million of the Blue Star’s three million troops had been sacrificed in the battle. Who would be subjected to the military court if not the commander?

No matter how political Xu Yi was, he was helpless in this aspect. You can’t make bricks without straw. The number of casualties was too shocking. As a result, the main elders who were originally standing on the side of Great Elder Xu Yi became swayed.

The reason was very simple. Most of the Nine Satellites Planetary realm experts who died in battle this time came from their subordinates. However, politics was politics. The essence of politics was an exchange of benefits.

After Xu Yi emphasized Xu Zhijia’s previous battle results and the impact on the morale of the Spiritual Race’s army several times, this meeting entered the exchange of benefits.

“Out of consideration for the overall morale of the army, we can temporarily not publicly deal with Xu Zhijia. We can allow him to atone for his crimes, but it will only be limited to the Central Star Field’s military district. And in order to prevent any more accidents from delaying the Holy Ancestor’s grand plan, I suggest that I be in charge and lead the Spirit Chasing Plan!”

Tu Hou had finally revealed his final goal. From the beginning, all the accountability was for this.

The Spirit Chasing Plan was the Second Master’s true goal! How could Great Elder Xu Yi not compromise? Regardless of whether he could protect Xu Zhijia, he could only compromise.

This was because the person who endorsed Xu Zhijia was him, the Great Elder. Xu Zhijia had committed a major crime. If this continued, he, the Great Elder, would be the first to be responsible.

Therefore, Xu Yi could only compromise.

“In that case, I’ll leave the Spirit Chasing Plan to Tu Hou and the others. I hope that you can succeed in the shortest time possible. After all, this is something that the Holy Ancestor personally instructed,” Xu Yi said.

“Don’t worry, Great Elder!”

After the meeting, Xu Shifang was a little indignant. “Elder, isn’t it too…”

“I’m still the Great Elder!” Xu Yi waved his hand to stop Xu Shifang’s complaints. “Even if they succeed, I’ll have a share of the credit. However, if this matter was exposed again, I, the Great Elder, would be in danger!

“They did not expose this because they were afraid that the Holy Ancestor would suddenly change his mind last time. Keep a close eye on them. Report any news immediately!” Xu Yi said.

“Don’t worry, Great Elder!”
