Finally, Ruan Hao led them out of the private room together to go to the restroom.
The menâs and womenâs restrooms were separate. Ruan Hao escorted Ruan Jiaojiao to the entrance before turning to go to the menâs restroom.
Ruan Jiaojiao turned into the womenâs restroom. Because she was small and the restroom door was quite heavy, she couldnât manage to push it open with both hands. She could only use her right hand, leaning her entire back into it for extra force.
As the door opened slightly, a womanâs startled shout came from inside: "Hey! Who is it?"
Ruan Jiaojiao looked up to see the restroom door being pulled open. Walking out was a woman in a red dress with black high heels. Beside her stood another woman in a white dress. Due to the momentum, Ruan Jiaojiao accidentally bumped right into the arms of the woman in red.
Embarrassed, Ruan Jiaojiao immediately stood up straight and apologized politely, "Big Sister, Iâm sorry! I didnât have enough strength..."
"Whoâs your âBig Sisterâ? Stop calling me that! Ugh, youâre so annoying. Dressed like a country bumpkin, I canât believe trash like you is allowed into a hotel like this." The woman in red didnât even wait for Jiaojiao to finish her apology. Rolling her eyes impatiently, she shoved her aside and strode out, her high heels clacking loudly on the floor.
The woman in white next to her gave Ruan Jiaojiao an apologetic look and said sorry before helping her push the door open. Then, she quickly chased after the woman in red.
Ruan Jiaojiao rubbed her shoulder, which also hurt from the collision, then looked down at her outfit. To stay warm, she had dressed more heavily than those women. She was wearing a layered dressâthree pieces under her coat. Even after taking off the coat, Jiaojiao didnât feel like she looked like a "country bumpkin." Besides, she trusted Shu Jiaoâs sense of fashion.
Pouting slightly, Ruan Jiaojiao went inside to use the restroom. Because her hands were not convenient, it took her about seven or eight minutes to finally come out.
Outside, Ruan Jie, Xiu Xi, and Ruan Hao were still waiting for her. But now there were two additional peopleâthe two women sheâd bumped into in the restroom.
The woman in red spoke with a tone full of excitement as she leaned close to Ruan Hao, her body practically touching his, "Junior, donât you remember me? Last time we were together at the school debate competition..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Ruan Hao sidestepped her, walked away, and held onto Ruan Jiaojiao as she emerged.
"You need to make sure your palms stay dry at all times," Ruan Hao instructed. As he held Jiaojiaoâs hand, he took out a handkerchief from his pocket and gently wiped her left hand.
Ruan Jiaojiao obediently nodded but kept her gaze on the two women behind them. Their expressions had turned stiff after her unexpected appearance.
Blinking curiously, she lowered her voice and asked, "Big Brother, are those your classmates?"
Ruan Hao, without even glancing back, held her now dry hand and replied indifferently, "Donât know them. Itâs time to eatâletâs go back." He called for Ruan Jie and Xiu Xi to join them, and the four of them walked away without looking back.
After rambling for such a long time, all the woman in red got in response was "donât know them." She was so mad she stomped her feet in frustration. If not for the inappropriate setting, she would have wanted to scream while clutching her head.
Meanwhile, Ruan Jiaojiao was grinning from ear to ear, and with a sly smile, she complained to Ruan Hao, "Big Brother, itâs good you donât know her. That lady in the red dress isnât niceâshe just called Jiaojiao a country bumpkin!" But Iâm not a country bumpkin!
"She bullied you?" Xiu Xi caught up from behind, his face dark with anger.
It seemed as though if Ruan Jiaojiao answered "yes," he would immediately go teach them a lesson.
