CapĂtulo 1807: Chapter 1807: This Divorce Must Happen (Part 3)
Itâs just that usually Shu Jiao manages him, and heâs afraid she wonât agree, so he thought about keeping it from her.
He didnât think it was something that shouldnât be hidden, but felt that more trouble would be better than less. Anyway, it wasnât much money, so he kept it hidden, not knowing the consequences would be so serious.
Shu Jiao is different from other women; sheâs highly educated. Occasionally, the two would have small disagreements, but mostly heâd coax her or sheâd analyze the pros and cons with him, but she never casually mentioned divorce.
This time she began with divorce, and he understood just how serious the matter was, feeling deeply remorseful and conflicted.
Looking at Ruan Jianguo speechless, his eyes filled with regret yet not knowing what to say, Ruan Jiaojiao felt both angry and heartbroken. Pressing down her emotions, she continued, âDad, Mom already had the divorce papers ready this morning. Sheâs likely to ask you to sign them tomorrow.â
Ruan Jianguoâs already pale face turned completely lifeless in an instant.
Ruan Jiaojiao was deeply pained, yet angry about his foolish actions, she questioned him, âDad, why did you do this? Why?â
Ruan Jiaojiao really couldnât understand. Although Ruan Jiaojiao usually seemed unreliable, loved spending money and was a bit frivolous, he never acted foolishly regarding her and her mother; he valued them above everything else. Usually, others couldnât even say a word about them, and she never worried about their relationship.
Who knew that suddenly the two of them would be on the verge of divorce?
Upon hearing Ruan Jiaojiaoâs words, Ruan Jianguoâs mind was buzzing, unable to hear anything, only seeing Ruan Jiaojiaoâs little mouth opening and closing yet hearing nothing.
Heâs almost fifty, not as physically fit as the young ones. He stayed up all night last night, and now with such a blow, his body suddenly slumped. If Duan Xi hadnât quickly come forward to support him, helping him into the back seat of the car, he might have fallen directly into the snow pile.
Seeing him like this, Ruan Jiaojiao felt truly uncomfortable, squatting by the car, her eyes red, looking at him both worried and angry, âDad, are you okay?â
Ruan Jianguo shook his head, his eyes bloodshot from staying up all night, holding onto Ruan Jiaojiaoâs outstretched little hand, pleading, âSweetheart, could you help Dad? Please take Dad to see Mom; Dad wants to explain to her.â
Ruan Jiaojiao bit her lip, contemplating, and asked him, âHave you talked to Mom since yesterday?â
Ruan Jianguo shook his head eagerly.
Ruan Jiaojiao felt she couldnât do nothing, thought hard for a moment, and then said, âThen Dad, you wait in the car, remember to keep it running. Itâs too cold here. Iâll go and ask mom for you.â
Even though she said she wouldnât interfere with Shu Jiaoâs decision, Ruan Jiaojiao didnât want to see them divorce like this and still wanted to make an effort.
Upon hearing this, Ruan Jianguoâs eyes instantly lit up with hope, nodding eagerly, âOkay, Dad will wait for you. Iâll keep the car running, I wonât freeze. Donât worry, sweetheart.â
Ruan Jiaojiao nodded, glanced at Duan Xi beside her, and went back in with him.
In the living room, Shu Jiao was talking to Gu Zichen, occasionally playing with Little Potato in the cradle beside them. Old Mr. Shu was sitting on the other side, drinking tea and watching the news broadcast.
As Ruan Jiaojiao entered, she brought a blast of cold wind, and the three turned to look at her.
