CapĂtulo 1852: Chapter 1852: Dead of Night, Burlap Sack Attack (10)
âThen itâs up to you.â Qin Yue deliberately teased him, âBut Lu Zishu, didnât you say youâd never date anyone again? Have you forgotten what you said in high school?â
Qin Yue still remembers when Lu Zishu was in high school, dating a junior and constantly avoiding her every few days, always complaining about how annoying she was. Later, when they asked him why he was together with her if he found her annoying, he earnestly said it was because his friends all had partners, and he didnât want to lose face by not having one.
After they broke up, he swore heâd never date again, saying it was such a hassle. He wasnât sure if his current behavior was contradicting his past words.
Lu Zishu evidently recalled what he had said back then, stammered a few vague words, and finally jumped up to wrap his arms around both of their necks, clumsily changing the topic: âHey, letâs go quickly, theyâre still waiting outside, we shouldnât keep them waiting too long.â
Having said that, he wrapped his arms around their necks and hurried forward, as if he was genuinely in a hurry.
Ruan Lei and Qin Yue exchanged a glance and laughed, deciding not to embarrass him further, and sped up their steps together towards the dormitory.
Since Qin Yue had almost finished packing the night before, he only needed to tidy up a bit today. Though there were quite a few items, Qin Yue wasnât planning to take them all back, intending to leave them at Lu Zishuâs place and retrieve them when the semester started.
When the three of them came out carrying their luggage, Zhou Chun was no longer outside. Qin Yue thought she had given up and heaved a sigh of relief, but unexpectedly, he saw her again at the school gate.
When Zhou Chun saw them emerging from inside the gate, her eyes instantly lit up, and she approached them, holding something in her hands.
Lu Zishu and Ruan Lei exchanged a glance and tactfully stepped aside.
Ruan Jiaojiao had just woken up and witnessed this scene, immediately becoming invigorated. She rolled down the car window, stretched her neck to get a better look at Zhou Chun.
However, since Zhou Chun had her back to her, she couldnât see much. Anxious, she quickly opened the car door and got out, joining Yu Rou, who was running from the other side. Together, they linked arms and pretended to casually stroll towards the school gate. When they passed the pair, they discreetly turned around.
Yu Rou nudged Ruan Jiaojiao, âOh, I forgot, I still have something left to take.â
âOh, me too,â Ruan Jiaojiao echoed, pretending to casually turn her head to look at Zhou Chun, standing in front of Qin Yue, her steps slower than a crawling turtle, ears perked up intently.
Zhou Chunâs full attention was on Qin Yue. While Ruan Jiaojiao had been asleep in the car, Zhou Chun hadnât noticed her, nor Yu Rou for that matter.
Her eyes red, she looked at Qin Yue, seeming like she wanted to say something. But faced with Qin Yueâs displeased expression, she couldnât find the words. Finally, with teary eyes, she handed over the letter in her hand, âQin Yue, please take a look, Iâll explain everything to you.â
With that, she covered her face, seemingly crying, and ran back towards the school.
Ruan Jiaojiao watched her run past with the wind in her face, her long hair flying and her steps graceful. She couldnât help but say to Yu Rou beside her, âDo you think we should learn to dance too? It looks like even when sheâs running, itâs like sheâs dancing. Itâs so beautiful.â
Then she thought about herself, realizing she wasnât good at anything.
Forget about dancing. Ever since that incident when she was twelve, even walking a few steps made her pant.
