Chapter 219: Ruined Reputation
âYouâre here, Dean Wu!â Gao Wenqiang shouted. Then, he pointed at Tang Hao and said viciously, âThatâs him! Heâs the student who beat me! This student is cruel and vicious. He doesnât deserve to be in Z University.â
Dean Wu looked at Tang Hao and his face darkened.
He knew who Tang Hao was. Tang Hao got himself a spot in Z University because of his connection, which was apparently quite powerful. Otherwise, there was no way for him to get into Z University.
He had no opinion of the student. If upper management had allowed him entry to the university, then he had no say in it.
However, that kid had caused so much trouble on his second day in college!
It was utterly ridiculous!
How could Z University harbor a student who beat up his teacher?
If news got out, that would utterly ruin the reputation of Z University.
âAre you the one who beat him up, Tang Hao?â Dean Wu asked sternly, suppressing his anger.
Tang Hao did not deny it. He nodded and said, âIâm the one who beat him up!â
Gao Wenqiang jumped. âLook at him! He isnât remorseful at all! Itâs probably not the first time that he did it. He must be a hooligan,â he yelled.
Dean Wu and the other administrators looked unpleasant.
âThis studentâs behavior is unacceptable!â
A student beating up a teacher is an immoral act. Some might even say that it was heretical.
âWe canât let this slide, Dean! Weâll need to treat this matter strictly!â
âRight! It ought to be handled with the utmost strictness!â
The administrators and teachers weighed in with their opinions.
Gao Wenqiang was laughing up his sleeve. He tried not to display his glee as he looked at Tang Hao.
As long as he could get that student expelled from Z University, being beaten up was nothing at all!
He grinned wickedly at Tang Hao, then looked at Dean Wu. âDean Wu, our Z University is a prestigious learning institution. He doesnât belong here! We ought to expel him.
âWho knows what worse things he would do in the future? Thatâll be a blemish on Z Universityâs reputation. It would be a disservice to our hallowed institution if he were allowed to stay.â
Dean Wu seemed convinced. He was not very fond of that student anyway.
However, he knew that the student had someone powerful backing him. He would probably need to fight for his expulsion.
He thought for a while, then displayed an expression of determination.
âDonât worry, Wenqiang. Iâll make sure that justice will be restored. This student was enrolled under rather peculiar circumstances, but I will do my best to ensure that he is expelled.â
âThank you, Dean Wu!â Gao Wenqiang became happier than ever.
âDonât mention it,â Dean Wu said while waving his hand. âYouâre a teacher of my faculty. I, as the leader, will back you up. We canât accept a student who doesnât show any respect to his teachers.â
Then, he looked at Tang Hao and said, âTang Hao, you are suspended with immediate effect. You will receive the official notice soon.â
Tang Hao remained calm and nonchalant.
He was not perturbed by being expelled, though he felt a little sorry for Vice Governor He.
However, he would not forget that spiteful person named Gao Wenqiang. He would not let the matter slide!
As disinterested as he may be, some of the students, especially the girls, were worried about Tang Hao.
Liu Feifei stood up and said, âDean Wu. Itâs not Tang Haoâs fault! Teacher Gao was finding fault with him, and it was also Teacher Gao who struck first.â
Gao Wenqiangâs expression became unpleasant. âWhat are you saying, Liu Feifei? I wasnât finding fault with him!â He said sternly.
âWhatâs going on?â Dean Wu furrowed his brows.
âTeacher Gao struck first!â Many girls shouted.
Teacher Gao was not popular among the students because of his unnerving disposition. Furthermore, the girls had witnessed the entire event and had no reason to speak up for their teacher.
âThat is total nonsense!â Gao Wenqiang became angry and his face turned vicious.
The administrators and teachers had doubtful expressions on their faces.
They had assumed that the student named Tang Hao had beaten up the teacher perhaps because of an argument. It seemed that there was more to the situation.
Things would have been very different if Teacher Gao was the one who struck first.
âWhat actually happened, Wenqiang?â Dean Wu asked sternly.
âI didnât lay a finger on him!â Gao Wenqiang argued, âI wasnât happy that a transfer student is sitting in my class because of his connections, and I disciplined him with some harsh words. Who knew that the student was belligerent and talked back. I asked him to leave the classroom, but he became physical after that.
âOf course, I tried to pull him out of his seat, but he slapped me in return. Then, he continued to punch and kick me. Look at these injuries,â Gao Wenqiang said agitatedly while pointing at various parts on his body.
âWell, I canât blame you for that!â Dean Wu said.
He was not too fond of the student who had exploited his connections. Gao Wenqiang was still young, and he might just be impulsive.
Gao Wenqiang was laughing up his sleeve. âThe students have all misunderstood me, Dean.â
Dean Wu nodded. âThat settles it!â
He then turned to Tang Hao and said, âYou should leave immediately. You donât have to come to any more classes.â
Tang Hao did not mind that. He picked up his backpack and prepared to leave.
Gao Wenqiang was even more gleeful.
Suddenly, everyone heard a feminine voice outside the classroom. âWait!â
Then, Jiang Wanying appeared at the door and came in.
Gao Wenqiangâs expression changed drastically.
âWhy are you here, Teacher Jiang?â Dean Wu was surprised.
Jiang Wanyingâs expression was icy. She glared at Gao Wenqiang, then said, âIf I hadnât made it in time, someone might have succeeded in his schemes.â
âWhat do you mean?â Dean Wu became more confused than ever.
âI want to file a complaint today, Dean,â Jiang Wanying said coldly.
âWho are you complaining about, Teacher Jiang? Whatâs going on?â Dean Wu said.
âI want to file a complaint against him, Gao Wenqiang!â Jiang Wanying said, spitting out each syllable, as she glared at Gao Wenqiang.
âWhat?â Everyone exclaimed in surprise. The students all displayed expressions of utter shock.
âWhat are you saying, Teacher Jiang?â Gao Wenqiang was beginning to panic.
âWhy, are you feeling afraid now? Why arenât you afraid when you harass me daily? If not that Tang Hao intervened last night, I donât know if Iâll be standing here.
âGao Wenqiang, you might look like a gentleman, but youâre actually a spiteful person, and even a pervert!â Jiang Wanying roared angrily.
âYou were angry that Tang Hao stopped you in your evil deeds last now, and thatâs why youâre finding fault with him today. Donât tell me that itâs a coincidence!â
The classroom erupted noisily just as she finished speaking.
Not only the girls were shocked, even the boys displayed indignant expressions.
Dean Wu and the other administrators looked at each other awkwardly. His gaze toward Gao Wenqiang became sterner.
âThatâs nonsense! Iâve never harassed you!â Gao Wenqiang was livid. âDo you have proof?â
âProof? I have plenty!â Jiang Wanying laughed coldly. She took out her phone and gave it to Dean Wu. âYou can look at the text messages he sent me.â
Dean Wu took the phone and checked the messages. His face instantly turned ashen from anger.
âThis is outrageous!â Dean Wu chided.
The administrators crowded around behind him and looked at the phone, and soon they displayed expressions of incredulity. Their gaze toward Gao Wenqiang carried hints of disgust.
âThe message at the top was what he sent me last night. That is proof enough that he intends to cause me harm. I think I should be able to go to the police with those messages alone!â Jiang Wanying said.
Gao Wenqiang trembled and his face turned pale.
âThis is all false! This filthy whore is trying to frame me! Donât believe her!â Gao Wenqiangâs expression was vicious.
âShe is a salacious woman. Last night, she tried to flirt with me. Donât believe what she says.â
Tang Hao rolled his eyes and said mockingly, âPlease! How about you look at yourself in the mirror? Who would want to flirt with you?â
The people did not believe Gao Wenqiangâs claim either.
Teacher Jiang was Z Universityâs most beautiful female teacher. It was a big joke if she had flirted with Gao Wenqiang.
