"Do you want to go somewhere else?" said Alexander.
"No this is my favorite spot because itās peaceful but tell me did you fuck her?" said Marcus.
"Yeah it was great" said Alexander.
Marcus laughed though he kept his voice to a whisper "Haha Iām glad you finally cut loose because everyone calls you the Prude Prince since they think youāre frigid" said Marcus.
"Thatās not true" said Alexander.
"No? Youāve rejected so many girls that everyone thinks youāre gay and thereās actually a bet going around about whether youāre a top or a bottom while bottom is winning since they think you like taking it up the ass" said Marcus.
Alexander stared at him with a face turning red because he couldnāt believe his reputation was that trashed. He thought about the night heād just had with Helen and the girl from the burger joint knowing that if they only knew what the Prude Prince was actually doing the betting pool would go up in flames.
"SHHH...!!!" said Lily.
Lily was back and marched to the table with a face red from frustration "Iām done and you two have to leave right now because Iām only banning you for today but if this happens again itās a month so get out" said Lily. She turned on her heel and walked back toward the front desk while Marcus just leaned back watching her walk away "Sheās got a great ass doesnāt she?" said Marcus.
"What?" said Alexander as he felt totally confused.
"I said sheās got a great ass" said Marcus.
Alexander turned around to look but Lily was completely covered in baggy oversized clothes with a heavy sweater that hid everything "Are you crazy or just sick because you canāt see anything through that" said Alexander.
"Hehe youāre such a rookie, after being in this business as long as I have you develop an eye for it so stay here while I get us a pass back into her good graces" said Marcus. He stood up and smoothed out his jacket then walked over to the desk where Lily was aggressively stamping books "Please forgive us, weāre just a couple of idiots for disturbing your sanctuary and we never meant to be disrespectful so could you ever find it in your heart to forgive us?" said Marcus.
Lily didnāt even look up "Just leave okay and donāt make a scene" said Lily.
"A scene? Never because I just couldnāt stand leaving a bad impression on a girl as beautiful as you and I wouldnāt want you thinking Iām some kind of creep" said Marcus. He reached out and gently brushed his fingers over her hand but Lily flinched and pulled back as if sheād been burned "What do you think youāre doing?" said Lily.
"Forgive me, I couldnāt help myself since your hand is so delicate and silky that it just hypnotized me" said Marcus.
Lily narrowed her eyes behind her thick glasses "Stop joking with me because Iām not falling for some clichĆ© novel lines and Iām not an idiot" said Lily.
Marcus recoiled looking wounded as he faked a gasp and shifted his expression into one of deep hurt while even making his eyes turn red "ClichƩ? I finally worked up the courage to tell you how I felt and my feelings are just a clichƩ to you?" said Marcus.
Lily panicked because she saw his eyes welling up and her maternal instincts kicked in making her feel like a monster for hurting this sensitive guy "No! No I didnāt mean it like that! Itās just that I... wait Iām sorry Iām so sorry and I didnāt mean to hurt you!" said Lily.
"Iām just a very sensitive man and women have always played with my feelings so sometimes I feel like people just take advantage of me" said Marcus.
A single perfect tear rolled down his cheek and Lily couldnāt take it as she reached out to pull him into a hug with her head barely reaching his shoulder. Marcus immediately buried his face in her chest hiding his smirk as he felt her heart racing against him "Shh itās okay Iām so sorry because everything will be fine I promise" said Lily.
Alexander watched from the table with a jaw dropping because he realized he was watching a professional hunter at work performing to turn a stern librarian into a protective mess in under two minutes.
