Seeing Chu Ziling’s eyes slightly reddened, Ling Feng asked, "Should we go now?"

Chu Ziling hesitated for a moment and then said, "Let’s wait a bit longer. This might be my last time meeting with these classmates, so let’s wait until the reunion ends!"

A few minutes later, a male classmate stumbled in frantically and exclaimed, "It’s bad, Zhang Zheng has been beaten up!"

Zhang Zheng has been beaten up! The initially lively scene instantly froze.

The male classmate explained, "We were just going to the restroom when we bumped into a drunkard. He bumped into Zhang Zheng, who then scolded him, and then the drunkard and his buddies beat up Zhang Zheng..."

"What about you?"

"There were too many of them, and I..." the man’s face turned bright red.

Chen Fu didn’t bother to scold him, but asked, "Are they still in the restroom?"

"They are!"

Chen Fu led a group of male classmates as they rushed toward the restroom.

After dealing a good beating to those drunkards, Chen Fu helped up the bruised Zhang Zheng, asking worriedly, "Zhang Zheng, do you want to go to the hospital to get checked out?"

Zhang Zheng laughed out loud. "What hospital? They’re not even enough to tickle me! Come on, let’s go back and continue drinking!"

Soon they returned, and as for those drunkards, they didn’t care at all. They even dismissed the drunkards’ threats as nothing!

After returning, Zhao Jin turned to Chen Rou and whispered in her ear.

Chen Rou laughed lightly, "Ziling, of course I know he’s your boyfriend. But, as your roommate for four years, I still have a piece of advice for you. When choosing a man, don’t pick a dandy! A nice appearance is good, but without the responsibility of a man, what good is it?"

Chu Ziling’s lips curled into a slight smile. "What do you mean, just say it clearly!"

Chen Rou said, "My point is simple, during the conflict just now, your boyfriend never showed up, right? I really don’t understand, with that incident happening, he could still sit here comfortably— that doesn’t add up. Is it because he is afraid of getting beaten up?"

"Exactly, with so many of us around, he’s still so cowardly. What if you run into some trouble in the future, can he really be relied on?" another woman chimed in with a tone of disdain.

"A man who is afraid is hardly a man at all! How spineless!"

However, hearing the women talk like this also made the faces of the male classmates present look not so good. Whether or not Ling Feng had taken action, his failure to step out showed his attitude.

Although they had no right to demand Ling Feng stand with them, he did drink on the same table, after all, they expected better from someone who had diminished their chances with their crush. This kind of behavior amounted to being somewhat cowardly!

A puzzled look appeared on Chu Ziling’s face: "Hey, Ling Feng, people are talking about you, don’t you have anything to explain?"
