Chapter 821: Chapter 821: The Dried Corpse
The Indian Snake King was unaware that the Freedom Organizationâs forces outside had already been subdued. Following the Desert Snakeâs directions, they arrived at Pharaoh Khufuâs Kingâs Tomb, where two rows of black coffins were placed around the chamber.
"This place gives me an eerie feeling!" The Indian Snake King frowned. Ever since entering the Pyramid, he had felt a faint, concealed gaze watching him. The closer they got to the inner chambers, the stronger this feeling became!
"Could there be something powerful lurking in the shadows?" He murmured to himself. If not for his immense self-confidence and if he hadnât been unable to refuse the Freedom Organizationâs offer, he wouldnât have been willing to enter the Pyramid.
But after stepping into the Kingâs Tomb, there were no other paths to take, which puzzled the Indian Snake King.
"Look, sir!" At that moment, one of the Freedom Organizationâs experts called out.

He opened his hand, revealing a metallic fragment that trembled incessantly in his palm. Soon, as if pulled by a mysterious force, it floated into the air and hovered above one of the Kingâs coffins.
"This..." The group exchanged puzzled looks. They knew that whenever the metal fragment reacted, it meant that the map fragment from the Atlantis Continent was close by.
But judging by the fragmentâs response, was the map possibly inside this coffin?
"Open it!" The Indian Snake King commanded sternly. "At this point, we have no other way forward. Since the fragment has given us a clue, we must open the coffin!"
One of the men nodded and approached the coffin, taking a deep breath before pushing the stone slab atop the coffin away with one palm!
As the slab was pushed aside, a plume of green smoke billowed out immediately.
"Hold your breath!" The Snake King shouted sharply and waved his hand. A gust of wind surged forward, dispersing the green smoke.
However, the man who had opened the coffin failed to hold his breath in time, and much of the smoke entered his body!
"Ahhh!" The man screamed in agony and rolled on the ground, clawing at his throat with bulging eyes, as if he were possessed.
"Stay back!" The Snake King stopped a few others who were about to approach, declaring, "Heâs been infected with corpse poison. Thereâs no saving him now!"
"Whatâs going on here?" One of the men couldnât help but ask. "Shouldnât we at least try..."
Before he could finish his sentence, the afflicted manâs cries abruptly ceased. His body shriveled visibly, with the moisture rapidly draining from his flesh, transforming him into a horrifyingly grotesque dry corpse in an instant!
Hiss! Witnessing this, all of their faces turned pale with fear. There was no doubt nowâthis Pyramid was filled with sinister forces!
The Indian Snake King spoke coldly. "This coffin contains millennia-old corpse poison. Its toxicity is so potent that even an ordinary expert in the Demi-God Domain wouldnât be able to resist it. Once the poison enters the body, death is inevitable! Be cautious. If you value your lives, avoid acting recklessly!"
Heavy-hearted, the group nodded. After seeing an example up close, they dared not challenge his warning.
"Now, letâs find out where the map is hidden!" The Indian Snake King said grimly before cautiously approaching the coffin. Inside lay a lifelike white-haired man dressed in ancient Egyptian pharaoh attire, surrounded by piles of jewels.
The man inside appeared far too vividânothing like someone who had been dead for thousands of years, but rather like someone who had just fallen asleep!
"Check this manâs body for anything unusual!" The Indian Snake King ordered, pointing to one of the men nearby.
The man jumped in alarm and protested miserably, "Sir Snake King... me?"
"If you wonât do it, should I personally take action?" The Indian Snake King scowled.
The man silenced himself. He was merely an A-level martial artist, utterly powerless before the Snake King, whose cultivation resided in the Demi-God Domain. He knew very well that defying the Snake Kingâs orders would guarantee his death!
But... with the fresh memory of the shriveled corpse burned into his mind...
"To hell with it!" Resolving himself, the man stepped forward and lightly touched the pharaohâs body in the coffin with trembling hands.
The very instant he touched it, the pharaohâs corpse transformed as swiftly as his unfortunate companionâsâturning into a dry corpse!
Even more terrifyingly, the pharaoh, whose eyes had previously been closed, suddenly opened them wide, with a trace of mockery flashing within their gaze!
"Ahhh!" The man scrambled back in terror, falling heavily to the ground. "Heâs alive! Heâs alive!"
His teammates stared at him with puzzled expressions. "What are you talking about? Alive? Whatâs alive?"
"The pharaohâs corpseâit came back to life!" The man stammered, his face pale, his eyes filled with terror.
"Impossible! The pharaoh has been dead for thousands of years!" Another man scoffed. "Saying he came back to life is absurd!"
But before he could finish his sentence, his throat seemed to be gripped by an invisible hand. His expression shifted as he turned to look at the coffin in fear!
Because at that very moment, a withered hand, as gnarled as a treeâs branch, extended out from the coffin!
"Everyone, back!" The Indian Snake King immediately shouted.
He slammed his palm downward. "Break it open!"
With a boom, the coffin shattered. The corpse inside slowly sat upright, rotating its stiff neck to look at the group, its gaze filled with mockery and fervor.
"It really came to life?" The group shivered as chills ran down their spines. They had never imagined that someone dead for thousands of years could rise again. Was this truly happening?
Even the Blood Clan, known for their prolonged lifespans, had lifespans far from reaching thousands of years!
"Itâs nothing more than a dry corpse!" The Indian Snake King stated calmly. "A fragment of the pharaohâs soul was sealed within the body, awakening upon the coffinâs opening. Thereâs nothing to fear!"
Hearing the Snake Kingâs authoritative tone, the group felt a glimmer of reassurance. After all, with a Demi-God warrior like the Snake King present, things couldnât get too out of hand.
The dry corpse twisted its limbs with unsettling creaks, preparing to stand up.
"I donât know why you havenât completely died yet, but... your era is long gone!" The Indian Snake King declared indifferently. "Since your soul refuses to dissipate, Iâll send you off myself!"
With that, he stepped forward and unleashed a punch. A powerful gust of energy surged forth, slamming into the dry corpse.
With a loud crash, the corpse was hurled against the wall with such force that the entire tomb trembled violently.
