Chapter 851: Chapter 851: Repelling the Enemy
Fortunately, Archbishop Berkeleyâs Holy Shield activated in time, and Hans wasnât hurt, though he was left a bit disheveled.
"Damn bastard!" The Holy Envoy glared angrily at Archbishop Berkeley in midair. If it hadnât been for him, Hans would have been dead or seriously injured!
Archbishop Berkeley declared righteously, "As long as Iâm here, creatures from the Abyss like you shall stay in line!"
Boom! Hans surged forward, flames blazing all over his body, transforming him into a man of fire.
"Die, monster!" Hans roared furiously as he charged toward the Holy Envoy.
Archbishop Berkeley waved his magic wand, sending a beam of white light onto Hans. Instantaneously, Hans felt his body brimming with power, lighter and more agile.
"Blessing Technique!" Hans thought in awe. He had heard rumors about the miraculous powers within the Papal Court of Light, but hadnât expected them to be so potent!
With the Blessing Technique from Archbishop Berkeley, Hansâ attacks became significantly more fierce and wild!
Originally, there had been some disparity between Hans and the Holy Envoy in terms of strength, but with Archbishop Berkeleyâs help, Hansâ assault began gaining the upper hand.
Hansâ ability was flames, and every move he made carried the overwhelming force of the Fire Attribute. Under Hansâ relentless onslaught, the Holy Envoyâs body had already suffered multiple burns.
"Get lost!" When Hans charged in again, a ruthless gleam flashed through the Holy Envoyâs eyes. His claws, glinting with icy light, struck directly for Hansâ head.
Hansâ body froze, veering sharply, leaving behind a phantom in midair before landing a powerful punch right into the Holy Envoyâs abdomen.
The Holy Envoyâs body flew upward instantly, but a faint, sinister smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
"Successor of the Angel World, die!" The Holy Envoy seized the moment, redirecting his attack to Archbishop Berkeley.
"This isnât good!" Panic churned in Hansâ heart as he realized heâd been duped. The Holy Envoyâs real target wasnât him but Archbishop Berkeley in the air!
Without Archbishop Berkeleyâs support, Hans knew he couldnât stand against the Holy Envoy. Without hesitation, Hans tried to rush to the Archbishopâs aid.
But what he witnessed next stunned himâthere was no panic on Archbishop Berkeleyâs face. Instead, the Archbishop calmly said, "Guardian Angelâs Protection!"
Behind Archbishop Berkeley appeared a towering phantom of an Eight-winged Angel, its colossal wings shielding the Archbishop.
A deafening boom resounded, tearing apart the clouds in the sky from the sheer force of the explosion.
The massive Angel Phantom vanished, but the Holy Envoy staggered backward repeatedly, his right arm exploding, and dark green blood dripping incessantly.
"I didnât expect you to summon Angel Protection. Iâll remember todayâs events!" As he spoke, a pair of enormous wings unfolded behind the Holy Envoy, and he flew off into the distance.
Archbishop Berkeley descended to the ground, his face pale.
Hans stepped forward respectfully and said, "Thank you, Archbishop Berkeley, for your assistance. Without you, today would have been unimaginable!"
Waving him off, Archbishop Berkeley said, "Eliminating Dark Creatures is the mission of the Papal Court of Light. This chance encounter where we assist Captain Hans is an honor for us!"

"However...," a hint of concern crept onto Archbishop Berkeleyâs face. "Letting that creature escape today will surely lead to future retaliation!"
Determined, Hansâ face hardened. "Come what may, our Rose Squad isnât afraid of death. Next time, I wonât let that bastard go!"
Archbishop Berkeley pondered for a moment before saying, "Captain Hans, how about this? If you find any traces of them, contact us at the Church. Eliminating them is also our responsibility, and I hope we can forge a cooperative relationship between us!"
"Absolutely!" Hans extended his hand and clasped Archbishop Berkeleyâs hand firmly. "Itâs a privilege for the Rose Squad to cooperate with the Papal Court of Light!"
Archbishop Berkeley smiled faintly, his expression carrying an enigmatic undertone.
...
When Hans returned to the Louvre, the battle there had already reached its conclusion. The Rose Squad members were working alongside the Parisian police to maintain order.
The Vice Captain approached Hans with a guilty look on his face. "Captain, something major has happened!"
"Whatâs happened now? Were there any casualties?" Hans asked.
The Vice Captain sighed deeply, "After you left, the Freedom Organization started causing chaos. Although there were no casualties,..."
At this point, the Vice Captain hesitated.
"But what?" Hans pressed, "Did any artifacts get damaged during the battle?"
Speaking of artifacts, a furious expression surged onto the Vice Captainâs face. "The Louvreâs collectionâover a thousand itemsâhas inexplicably vanished! Each piece is priceless!"
Hansâ eyes widened in shock. "Over a thousand pieces gone? What were they?"
"The Hammurabi Code, Mona Lisaâs Smile, The Last Supper, Statue of Victory, Venus de Milo..."
As the Vice Captain listed off one famous artifact after another, Hansâ face grew increasingly grim.
This was impossible! How could so many artifacts vanish without a trace?
Not to mention, these artifacts are national treasures within the Louvre! Hans felt his mind spinning. If the French public were to find out about this, even the government would be unable to provide an explanation!
"This canât be leaked!" Hans grabbed the Vice Captain by his shirt and hissed angrily, "Evacuate the crowd immediately, seal off the museum. Report this to the State, and start tracking down these artifacts right away. No matter the cost, these national treasures must be recovered!"
...
Within the cathedral, Ling Feng lounged leisurely, sipping coffee with an air of serenity.
"Are you so relaxed because youâve acquired the map?" Saint Di Anfu couldnât help but ask when she saw Ling Fengâs carefree demeanor.
Ling Feng shook his head. "Actually, I havenât. The Louvre is in utter chaos; I have no idea where the map is hidden! Besides, with the Louvre spanning over two hundred hectares, even if I were searching, I couldnât finish in mere days!"
Saint Di Anfu frowned in confusion. "If you donât have the map, why are you so calm? Arenât you afraid the map might fall into the hands of the Freedom Organization?"
Ling Feng shot her a sidelong glance. "My dear, Iâm calm, yet youâre the one panicking? You care about me so much that itâs quite flattering!"
Saint Di Anfu snatched the coffee from Ling Fengâs hands and retorted, "Let me warn you, weâre no longer pretending to be lovers, so quit with the disgusting nicknames! If you say that again, I wonât hold back!"
