Chapter 1545: Chapter 1543: A New Trial
"Laboratory?" Ling Feng furrowed his brow, "Whatās going on? Can you explain more clearly?"
Carly steadied her emotions and said, "We have been conducting potential activation experiments on the island, but something went wrong, and a disaster occurred three days ago!"
"At that time, we had just finished the experiment and were about to rest when suddenly the labās alarm went off. Immediately after, we heard the guardsā miserable screams from outside. I was terrified then. I rushed out to see the whole laboratory in chaos!"
"Those experiment subjects have gone completely insane. Theyāre manically hunting us experimenters!" Carly recalled the scene, her body trembling slightly, "It was horrifying. Blood was everywhere, and tragic screams filled my ears. I hid in a secret chamber in the lab, barely escaping the ordeal!"
"When I walked out of the chamber after two days, the entire lab was destroyed, and weād lost contact with the outside world. Those experiment subjects had stormed out of the lab, continuing their rampant hunt of the other experimenters. I donāt know if thereās any other survivor apart from me!"
Ling Feng furrowed his brow, potential activation experiment? Why does this name seem so familiar?
Before Ling Feng could think deeply, an angry roar suddenly came from outside, and Carlyās face turned pale, "Theyāre back again, what are we going to do, weāre going to be killed!"
Ling Feng said calmly, "Donāt worry, Iām here to save you. With me here, you wonāt die!"
Ling Feng initially planned to take Carly back to his Heavenly Spirit Stone Cave but realized that space artifacts couldnāt be used here, which puzzled him!
"Ah, may I know how to address you, sir?" Carly asked timidly at this moment.
Ling Feng casually said, "Just call me Ling Feng. By the way, what are the experimental subjectsā strengths here?"
"They are all at the Divine Sea Realm Peak!" Carly explained, "Sir, do you have food here? I havenāt eaten in three days!"
Ling Feng was taken aback, "Havenāt eaten in three days?"
At this moment, Ling Feng discovered that Carly was only at the Early Divine Realm. With her current cultivation, she indeed hasnāt reached the Fasting Realm.
"Is there food in the lab?" Ling Feng asked.
"Thereās a storage room to the east, but Iām too scared to go out..." Carly said hesitantly.
Ling Feng nodded, "I understand. You wait here, and Iāll go find some food for you!"
As he spoke, Ling Feng pushed open the door and, following Carlyās direction, slowly went towards the east!
Once outside, Ling Feng indeed smelled a pungent stench of blood. Corpses were everywhere, along with dried bloodstains.
Suddenly, Ling Feng stopped and squatted beside a corpse.
Because Ling Feng noticed these corpses were almost all killed with a single blow, and the wounds were similar, all were either heart tear-outs or head smashes!
This killing method doesnāt seem like something a normal person could do. What on earth are the experiment subjects in this lab!
Ling Feng sighed and then found the storage room. Just after taking some food, he heard Carlyās tragic scream!
Ling Fengās face changed: "Not good, Carly is in danger!"
Ling Feng rushed back immediately. If Carly died, it would mean Ling Fengās mission failed, and he would be eliminated! This is something Ling Feng couldnāt tolerate!
When Ling Feng reached the room, he saw a black shadow pouncing on Carly, who was dodging while shouting loudly.
"Get away!" Ling Feng kicked towards the black shadow.
With a bang, that creature was kicked by Ling Feng, crashing heavily into the wall but shook its head and got up from the ground.
At this moment, Ling Feng cleared the true appearance of the creature, surprisingly a cat but with four eyes on its face, each eye holding a strange gaze, giving a rather uncomfortable feeling!
"What the heck is this!" Ling Feng couldnāt help but take a deep breath. He hadnāt held back his kick just now, but it hadnāt caused any harm to this creature!
"Hehehehe!" Although the opponent was a cat, it emitted a sneering sound similar to a human from its throat.

"This is a Charm Demon Cat; its weakness is a fear of fire!" Carly shouted, "Its physical defense is strong; ordinary people canāt break it!"
A fear of fire? Ling Fengās heart moved. With a wave of his hands, a powerful flame appeared surrounding the Charm Demon Cat.
"Meow!" Seeing the flame, a panicked gleam flashed in the eyes of the Charm Demon Cat. It wanted to continue attacking but seemed very afraid of the flame.
"Are you alright?" Ling Feng asked.
Carly bit her lip, "My leg was scratched by it!"
Looking down, there was a claw mark on Carlyās leg, conspicuously on her fair calf.
"Does it matter?" Ling Feng asked.
Carly shook her head, "Charm Demon Catās claws carry strong poison that instantly paralyzes the opponent. My... I have no sensation in my leg now!"
Ling Feng couldnāt help but furrow his brow. If Carly lost sensation in her leg, then sheād indeed become a burden!
"Meow!" At this moment, Charm Demon Cat suddenly let out a long cry, its voice piercing through the walls and spreading around.
Carlyās face changed: "Not good, itās summoning its companions. We must leave here immediately. If weāre surrounded here, weāre doomed!"
A cold gleam flashed in Ling Fengās eyes. This Charm Demon Cat really is troublesome!
"Go to Hell! Hell Black Flame!" Ling Feng shouted, the flames suddenly surged, instantly engulfing the Charm Demon Cat!
The Charm Demon Cat let out a tragic scream, its four eyes turned blood-red, desperately rushing towards Ling Feng.
It clearly knew that if it could kill Ling Feng, the flames would naturally disappear!
"You want to kill me? You wretched beast is not qualified!" Ling Feng growled, his right hand accurately grabbing the Charm Demon Catās head, then exerted force with his fingers. With a crunch, its head exploded like a blood bag, blood flowing everywhere.
Ling Feng pondered, after the flamesā scorching, the defense of this Charm Demon Cat seemed much weaker than before!
"Letās go, itās not safe here, we should go out!" Ling Feng asked, "Can you walk now?"
Carly shook her head, "No, both my legs have lost sensation, it will take at least two days to recover!"
Ling Feng sighed slightly, "Really troublesome!"
Speaking, Ling Feng carried Carly, "Iāll take you out!"
