Chapter 2138: Chapter 2135: Absolute Defense
The Stone Giant kept struggling, but under Ling Fengâs Soft Technique it simply couldnât bring out its full strength. Instead, its arms and legs were locked up by Ling Feng, and as Ling Feng exerted more force, its body gradually started to deform.
Crack crack crackâaccompanied by Ling Fengâs burst of strength, the Stone Giantâs body let out a series of cracking sounds; several of its joints were already showing fractures.
"Are we really going to keep going?" Ling Feng said in a deep voice. "If we do, this Guardian of yours is going to be scrapped!"
The Shan Ling could see it too: if Ling Feng kept tightening the hold, this Guardian of his really would be twisted apart by Ling Feng.
"Enough, youâve passed the first trial!" the Shan Ling said helplessly. "What is that move of yours? Why does it restrain him so completely?"
Ling Feng released the hold on its limbs and said with a smile, "Soft Technique."
"Soft Technique?" The Shan Ling shook his head. "Never heard of it!"
"Itâs a type of Combat Technique from my homeland," Ling Feng said with a grin. "Even though my homeland isnât a high-martial world, there are still plenty of things worth treasuring!"
"Hmph, so youâre from a Low Martial World!" The Shan Ling curled his lip. "Donât think that just because you beat my first Guardian you can strut around. That was my weakest Guardian. Next..."
At this moment, the second Shitou stepped forward, stopping in front of Ling Feng.
Ling Feng shifted his gaze to this Stone Man, and in an instant he felt a wave of pressure wash over him.
"A Gravity Field!" Ling Feng instantly realized that a powerful Gravity Field was spreading all around this Stone Giant.
"Roar!" The Stone Giant let out a low roar and then pounced at Ling Feng.
Ling Feng had intended to raise his hand to block, but under the influence of this gravity his movements became much slower.
With a boom, Ling Feng was slammed square in the chest by a punch from the Shitou, sent flying and crashing heavily to the ground.
Before Ling Feng could get up, the Stone Giant charged again, its fists falling toward Ling Fengâs head, chest, and lower abdomen like bolts of lightning!
Ling Feng could only cover his head and endure the Stone Giantâs storm-like barrage.
He really had no other choice. The Gravity Field around this Stone Giant was simply too strong. Ling Feng felt as if his limbs were bound, completely unable to adapt to the crushing weight of this gravity.
Fortunately, although this Stone Giant possessed a powerful Gravity Field, its raw strength was far inferior to that of the previous Stone Giant. So while Ling Feng was getting brutally pummeled, the blows werenât lethal; he just looked rather battered on the surface.

Watching Ling Feng being suppressed, a hint of a smile appeared on the Shan Lingâs face. "This is the difference in power. The Gravity Field alone is more than he can withstand. So... calling him a future War God is just laughable!"
"Is that so?" At this moment, Ling Feng, who had been getting beaten the whole time, spoke in a calm voice. "Because I think... this Guardian of yours has pretty decent massage skills."
As his words fell, the Stone Giant that had been pressing down on Ling Feng was suddenly heaved off and thrown away by him.

"I knew it, he just got lucky before!" Seeing Ling Feng suppressed once more, the Shan Lingâs face lit up with a smile.
But his smile quickly froze, because just as the Stone Giant rushed up to Ling Feng, Ling Fengâs movements suddenly accelerated, and his fist smashed hard into the Stone Giantâs face. The Stone Giantâs cheek was actually shattered by that one punch.
Not about to let go of his advantage, Ling Feng grabbed the Stone Giant, whose body was trying to pull back, with his left hand, and with his right he drove another heavy punch into its head. The Stone Giantâs skull was directly blown apart by Ling Feng.
With a thud, the Stone Giant collapsed to the ground.
The Shan Ling stared at the scene before him in disbelief. The turnaround had been way too fast. How had Ling Feng suddenly turned the tables?
"How did you do that?" the Shan Ling couldnât help asking.
Ling Feng chuckled. "Your Guardâs Gravity Field is indeed strong, but it lacks variation. I just needed a bit of time to adapt to it. Even if I canât move like normal, as long as I control my rhythm, I can still bring out plenty of power."
"If your Gravity Field could constantly change and never give your opponent time to adapt, then it would unleash far greater power," Ling Feng said.
The Shan Ling fell silent, and after a long moment he snorted, "Hmph, you think I donât know that? I was just giving you a chance. All right, youâd better get ready for the next trial!"
As he spoke, the third Stone Giant stepped forward.
"This Guardian of mine has Absolute Defense. Your attacks wonât have any effect on him at all. I want to see what you can do this time," the Shan Ling said.
Ling Feng looked at this Stone Giant. From the bronze-like luster of its skin alone, he could tell it was anything but simple.
"Ha!" Ling Feng shouted, then charged in with a punch.
But it was as if the Stone Giant was a beat slow; it didnât react at all.
Then with a boom, Ling Fengâs fist slammed into its chestâyet the other party was completely fine, while Ling Feng himself was shaken back dozens of steps!
"What is this body!" Ling Feng was stunned. He hadnât held anything back in that punch; he had used his full strength, yet he hadnât managed to inflict any damage at all. Instead, his own fist was numbed from the rebound.
"I told you, this Guardian of mine has Absolute Defense!" the Shan Ling said proudly.
Ling Feng let out a cold laugh. "Absolute Defense? Thereâs no such thing as âabsoluteâ in this world. So-called Absolute Defense just means it can withstand greater force. As long as my strength is great enough, I can still break your so-called Absolute Defense!"
With that, Ling Feng rushed forward again, his fists raining down on the Stone Giant like a torrential downpour. But the Stone Giant just stood there dumbly, not moving at all, and all of Ling Fengâs attacks ended up doing nothing.
"How is this possible!" Ling Feng could hardly believe it.
Suddenly, the Stone Giant moved. It punched straight toward Ling Fengâs chest. Ling Feng hastily raised his fist to meet it head-on.
But an enormous force surged through, and Ling Feng was blown away, crashing heavily into the ground.
