Chapter 94: Chapter 94: It Really Is a Crime by an Acquaintance
DINGâ
The elevator arrived at the 12th floor.
Fisher keyed in the passcode and opened the door.
The living room was silent. Fisher tiptoed inside, with the two police officers following behind her.
Just then, the person in the room sniffing Fisherâs clothes heard the door open. He frowned and quickly ducked back under the bed.
Fisher whispered, "He should be in the bedroom."
"Okay, Iâll go take a look," the younger officer replied in a low voice.
[Ah! This is so tense!]
[First time watching a livestream of a pervert getting caught. So exciting~]
[Followed the streamer. Is it always this exciting every day?]
[That depends on whether the streamer is willing to stream every day.]
The younger officer lightened his steps as he approached the bedroom.
The door was ajar. He reached out and pushed it open.
The person under the bed saw a pair of menâs leather shoes appear in the doorway. His heart sank, and a look of displeasure crossed his face.
âDoes Yules have a boyfriend?â
âDamn it!â
âHow could you get a boyfriend?â
âHow dare you?â
The younger officer walked to the side of the bed and took a flashlight from his belt.
He switched on the flashlight, bent over, and shone it under the bed.
[Is anyone there?]
[Ahhh, Iâm so excited!]
Fisher clutched her phone, her palms sweating from nervousness.
Caught off guard, the person under the bed was blinded by the strong light and instinctively raised a hand to shield his eyes.
The younger officer demanded sharply, "Why are you hiding under someoneâs bed? Come out!"
Fisherâs eyelashes trembled.
âThere really is someone here!â
[OMG! The streamer is amazing!]
[How can someone be so perverted...]
After waiting for a few minutes, the person under the bed still hadnât come out.
"Greg, heâs not coming out," the younger officer said with a frown.
[Damn, is he going to just hide in his shell?]
[Drag him out!]
Greg, the older officer, also entered the room. He squatted down to look under the bed, his expression displeased. "Is it because youâre not wearing clothes that you donât dare to come out?"
Hearing this, Fisherâs heart leaped into her throat. She couldnât dare to imagine what might have happened if she hadnât connected with Renee Jennings and had been home alone.
[Oh god! Heâs really naked!]
[My god, if Fisher hadnât called the police... Yâall, I canât even think about what wouldâve happened.]
Greg took out his phone to record the situation at the scene, then turned his head and said, "Chase, give him the clothes."
He stood up and looked at the pale-faced Fisher with sympathy. "Miss Yules, please step away for a moment. Let the suspect get dressed."
"Okay." Fisher quickly walked out to the living room.
She sat on the sofa, looked at Renee Jennings on the screen, and said with immense gratitude, "Streamer, thank you so, so much for today!"
Renee Jenningsâs lips curved into a smile. "Youâre welcome," she said lightly. "The main thing is that you were willing to listen."
[Yeah, Fisher is so good at taking advice. The streamer told her to go downstairs and she went immediately!]
[Right, Fisher is super good at taking advice!]
Greg stood nearby, secretly pricking up his ears to listen to the conversation between Yules and Renee Jennings.
âThis streamer is really incredible.â
âBased on his professional experience, if it werenât for Renee Jenningsâs warning today, Miss Yules would have most likely been in serious trouble.â
Just as he was thinking this, Chase arrived in the living room with the suspect.
Fisher turned her head and saw the man handcuffed by Chase. A look of shock appeared in her eyes. "How could it be you?"
[Huh?? Fisher knows this damn pervert?]
[Holy crap, it was really committed by an acquaintance!]
Hearing this, Greg inquired, "Miss Yules, do you know the suspect?"
"I do." Fisher nodded, her voice filled with anger. "Heâs the owner of the fruit shop on the first floor of the complex, and heâs also my coworkerâs husband!"
[He has a wife, but heâs still peeping on other girls? I canât even! Why is he so scummy?]
[Disgusting pig! His wife is so unlucky.]
Fisher suddenly remembered something, and her face filled with rage. "No wonder heâd always greet me whenever I passed the fruit shop, asking where I was going and for how long. It turns out he wanted to sneak into my apartment!"
Renee Jennings frowned. "So you told him every time?"
"Yes!" Fisher was extremely regretful. "Because heâs my coworkerâs husband, I didnât think much of it."
[This makes me think Iâll have to be more careful when people I donât know well talk to me.]
[Sisters, you must always be on your guard when youâre out!]
"Iâve been framed!" the fruit shop owner argued dishonestly. "This is my first time here!"
"Youâre lying!" Fisher stared at him with disgust. "Youâve obviously been here many times, and you even lay on my bed naked! Arenât you disgusting? You also stole a bunch of my underwear!"
A hint of surprise flashed in the fruit shop ownerâs eyes. "You have security cameras in your apartment?"
âYules wasnât home when I did those things. How could she know?â
"So you admit it?" Fisher glared at him hatefully.
If the police werenât here, she really would have slapped him.
âDisgusting man!â
Greg stared at him scrutinizingly. "How did you get the passcode to this apartment?"
The fruit shop owner played dumb. "I donât have a passcode. I just happened to see her door was unlocked, so I came in to take a look."
"Bullshit!" Fisher was so angry she cursed. "I have a cat at home! I check the door every single time I close it!"
"Still trying to argue?" Greg said sharply. "You can take your time arguing with us down at the station."
He looked at Fisher, whose face was red with anger, and his tone softened. "Miss Yules, weâll need you to come with us to the station to give a statement."
"Okay." Fisher was so angry that tears welled up. She raised a hand to wipe the corners of her eyes.
She got into the police car and glanced at the livestream comments, seeing that the viewers were all comforting her.
[Donât cry, sis!]
[The bad guy will definitely pay for this!]
[Donât be scared, sis. You did nothing wrong. The damn pervert is the one whoâs wrong!]
A warm feeling suddenly spread through Fisherâs heart. She was moved. "Thank you, everyone. Thank you, Streamer. Iâm so glad you were all here!"
[Sis, message the damn pervertâs wife and tell her to go to the police station and slap him a couple of times.]
[Thatâs right, let his wife see just how disgusting he is!]
The viewers all started giving her suggestions.
Fisher thought it made sense, so she called her coworker and told her all the trashy things her husband had done.
Her coworkerâs voice grew heavy. "Iâm taking time off work and coming over right now."
A chill went down the fruit shop ownerâs spine. He gritted his teeth and snarled, "Yules, did you really have to be so ruthless? I didnât even do anything to you! You didnât lose anything!"
[He has the fucking nerve to say that? So shameless!]
[Trash]
Fisher was also stunned by his shameless comment.
She pressed her lips together, not wanting to speak to him at all.
âEven saying one more word to this kind of garbage person feels like an insult to myself.â
After the police car stopped, Renee Jennings said softly, "Fisher has to go give her statement now, so letâs end the call here."
[Ahhh, donât end the stream! Stay connected!]
[They probably canât stream while sheâs giving a statement. Letâs be understanding, everyone.]
Although Fisher was reluctant to hang up, she understood.
She looked at Renee Jennings, her gaze sincere. "Thank you again, Streamer! If I get the chance, Iâll definitely have to treat you to a meal!"
"Okay, I look forward to it." Renee Jennings smiled. "Then, until we meet again."
