Chapter 294: Chapter 294: There Was Actually a Female Biped Lying Inside
Renee Jennings turned around, picked up the pink plaid bag, and handed it to her.
Eve took the bag, pulled out her phone, and asked in a low voice, "Can I add you on WeChat?"
"Sure." Renee nodded, then added, "Would it be okay to get your phone number too?"
Eve froze for a few seconds. "My phone number too?"
"Is that a problem?" Renee looked at her candidly, her eyes bright. "I just want to be friends with you."
Faced with someone so beautiful, Eve couldnāt bring herself to refuse. She quickly nodded. "Itās fine, of course itās fine."
"Thanks." Renee added her on WeChat and dialed her number to confirm it was correct. She smiled and said, "Letās talk when we have time."
Eve nodded. "Okay."
Renee looked at Kohl, her eyes glinting with a smile. "My snake friend, shall we find another place to chat?"
"Of course!" Kohl readily agreed.
Renee held out her hand to him. "Come on, then."
Kohl understood and immediately coiled around her slender, fair arm.
Renee stood up and glanced at Eve, her expression holding a deeper meaning.
Eve met her gaze, feeling a bit dazed. By the time she thought of something to say, Renee was already gone.
"Renee!" Michelle Fuller looked at her excitedly. "You look so cool! Letās go back so I can take some pictures of you."
"Okay," Renee agreed with a smile.
Before leaving, she subtly glanced back.
The man with glasses was already sitting beside Eve, asking with nervous concern, "Eve, are you feeling unwell anywhere?"
"No," Eve shook her head. "I was just scared."
Renee returned to the tent, arm in arm with Michelle.
Just as she sat down, she heard a girlās timid voice from the side.
"Renee Jennings..."
"Oh, itās you." Renee recognized the girl who had screamed for her earlier. She stood up again and broke into a smile. "Whatās your ID? Let me see if I recognize it."
"Iām Milk Tea with 30% Sugar," the girl said shyly. "Did I startle you just now?"
Renee raised an eyebrow. "Milk Tea with 30% Sugar... If I remember correctly, youāre Elaine Riversā friend?"
"Yes." The girl nodded and introduced herself, "My name is Nicole Sinclair."
"Itās a pleasure to meet you, Nicole." Renee extended her hand.
Nicole wiped her hand on her clothes before daring to shake Reneeās, saying excitedly, "Iām so honored! I canāt believe I get to shake your hand."
"Donāt say that." Renee chuckled lightly. "Iām just a regular person, lucky enough to have everyoneās support."
"Youāre too modest!" Nicole said hurriedly. "Youāre not ordinary at all!"
Renee changed the subject. "Are you here for barbecue with friends?"
"Yes," Nicole said. "I came with my family. I didnāt expect to run into so many familiar faces here."
"Oh, really?" Renee smiled. "Who else did you run into besides me?"
Nicole lowered her voice. "The boyfriend of the girl who just got scared. He used to hit on my roommate."
Hearing this, Reneeās eyes narrowed slightly. "That guy hit on your roommate?"
"Yes." Nicole nodded. "My roommate found out he casts a wide net, flirting with girls everywhere, so she turned him down. Heās had a lot of girlfriends."
"I see." Renee raised an eyebrow at her. "Why donāt you sit down and have some barbecue with us? We can chat."
"No, no, itās fine." Nicole was afraid of disturbing Renee and her friendās meal. "You guys go ahead. My family is waiting for me."
Renee: "Alright then. Iāll treat you to a meal next time."
"Really?" Nicole said excitedly. "In that case, let me treat you!"
"Weāll see when the time comes." Reneeās eyes crinkled into a smile.
Nicole Sinclairās face was full of joy. "Okay! Letās plan on it! Iāll get going now."
Renee watched her leave before sitting back down.
Michelle looked at Kohl, eager to try something. "Renee, can I have him wrap around my arm for a few pictures?"
Before Renee could speak, Kohl flicked his tongue and said, "Of course. I promise not to bite you."
Renee relayed his words to Michelle, then added, "I need to ask him something first. After Iām done, Iāll help you two take a picture together."
Michelle blinked and asked curiously, "Is something going on?"
"Yes." Renee nodded.
Michelle immediately got up and sat beside her. "What is it?"
"Itās about that four-eyed, two-legged beast," Kohl said. "Heās not a good two-legged beast."
Renee: "You said he was talking to the suitcase?"
"Yeah," Kohl said. "He said a lot of things to the suitcase. I was listening the whole time."
Last night, after the lakeside barbecue place closed, the man with glasses dragged a large black suitcase to the shore.
He sat beside the suitcase, his gaze gentle. "We could have parted on good terms. Why did you have to be like this...?"
As he spoke, the man with glasses reached out and stroked the suitcase. "Youāre so unreasonable. I donāt like this side of you at all."
Kohl found it very strange. āIs there something wrong with this four-eyed, two-legged beast? Heās actually talking to a suitcase.ā
The manās gaze suddenly turned vicious. "You forced me to do all of this. I had no other choice but to make this decision. You wonāt blame me, will you?"
"Una," the man with glasses called out softly. "You have to remember, I love you very, very much."
Kohl was utterly shocked. āThe suitcase has a name?ā
"Una," the man with glasses continued, "if thereās a next life, we must love each other even more than we did in this one, okay?"
Kohl was stunned again and started complaining to a companion who had just arrived, "This four-eyed, two-legged beast is one hundred percent crazy. Heās actually in love with a suitcase..."
His companion: "Is it because no other two-legged beast will love him?"
Kohl was in complete agreement. "Very likely."
The man with glasses lovingly stroked the suitcase, his eyes filled with longing and reluctance. "Una, I really canāt bear to lose you, you know? Losing you hurts me more than anyone."
As he spoke, he opened the suitcase.
As the suitcase was opened, Kohl finally saw that a female two-legged beast was lying inside.
"Huh? Thereās a two-legged beast inside..." he exclaimed.
His companion: "No wonder he was saying all those weird things."
"Una, let me look at you one last time." The man with glasses reached out and caressed the womanās pale face. "You understand me, right? I didnāt mean to do this. I just loved you too much."
After speaking, he leaned in and kissed the womanās bloodless lips. "Una, letās meet again in the next life."
The man with glasses found a few rocks and put them in the suitcase. With a look of grief, he closed it and zipped it up.
"What is he doing?" Kohl watched him push the suitcase into the lake and roared in shock, "Stop! Thereās a two-legged beast in there! Youāre going to kill her!"
But unfortunately, Kohl was powerless to stop any of it. He could only watch as the black suitcase slowly disappeared, sinking to the bottom of the lake.
