Chapter 324: Chapter 324: She Has No Bad Intentions
As soon as Barbie Lowe sat down, she was busy sending messages.
She sent photos of the antiques she had just taken in Mr. Fullerâs study to someone, asking which one was the most valuable.
Michelle Fuller crossed her arms and studied her, a cryptic smile on her face. "I hear Miss Lowe is an influencer?"
"Not really." Seeing Michelle talking to her, Barbie Lowe put down her phone. "I just have a lot of followers, thatâs all."
"Is that so," Michelle Fuller said. "What a coincidence. Renee has a lot of followers, too. How many do you have?"
A flicker of something crossed Barbie Loweâs eyes before she forced a smile. "I have over three million followers."
"Oh, only three million," Michelle Fuller said with a smugly raised eyebrow. "Renee has over five million."
The smile on Barbie Loweâs face gradually faded. She pressed her lips together and said nothing.
Seeing this, Sean Fuller quickly tried to smooth things over. "Thereâs no need to compare. Besides, having over three million followers is already very impressive."
"Iâm really not as impressive as Renee," Barbie Lowe said with a strained smile.
"Right," Michelle Fuller continued. "You know, you look very familiar."
Sean Fuller chimed in immediately. "Did you happen to come across Barbieâs live stream before?"
"I donât think so." Michelle Fuller feigned a thoughtful expression, then said with surprise, "Oh, I remember now! Miss Lowe, didnât you join one of Reneeâs live streams before?"
Her tone was certain, leaving no room for a real question.
Sean Fuller looked at Barbie Lowe in surprise. "Barbie, youâve joined Reneeâs live stream before?"
Barbie Lowe opened her mouth, but for a moment, she didnât know how to answer.
After a long pause, she stammered, "Could it be... that Sister Michelle remembers incorrectly?"
"Really?" A calm smile played on Michelle Fullerâs lips. "I think my memory is quite good. But itâs fine, the internet has a memory. We can just do a quick search to see if Iâm mistaken."
Barbie Loweâs pupils contracted. "Wait!" she blurted out.
"What is it?" Michelle Fuller asked, her face a picture of innocence.
Barbie Lowe concealed the panic and irritation in her eyes, forcing a smile. "Sister Michelle didnât remember incorrectly, I did. I remember now. My fans asked me to join Reneeâs live stream."
"Your memory seems to be a bit spotty," Michelle Fuller commented lightly.
Barbie Lowe explained, "Itâs because I have so much to do every day. I only remembered because you just reminded me, Sister Michelle."
Michelle Fuller tutted. "So young, yet such a bad memory."
"Sis!" Sean Fuller called out warningly.
Michelle Fuller glanced at him, feeling a mix of disdain and frustration at his cluelessness.
âSilly brother, what would you do without me and your Renee?â
âYouâd either get scammed by some weirdo or cheated by a wicked woman.â
âSigh, the path of love is truly full of bumps and twists.â
Michelle Fuller turned back to Barbie Lowe and asked with a cheerful smile, "Miss Lowe, do you remember what Renee said when you connected with her?"
"I..." Barbie Lowe frowned, unsure whether to say she remembered or not.
âShe had a strong feeling that Michelle Fuller was deliberately targeting her.â
Barbie Lowe put on a hurt expression and looked at Sean Fuller. "Sean," she whispered, "does Sister Michelle not like me?"
"How could that be?" Sean Fuller blinked in confusion. "Barbie, why would you think that? Is it because my sis said your three million followers are fewer than Reneeâs five million?"
Barbie Lowe: "..."
Her face darkened as she cursed a few times in her head.
âWhat a fucking idiot rich kid!â
"Barbie, youâve misunderstood my sis," Sean Fuller explained on Michelleâs behalf. "Sheâs just a bit direct, but she doesnât have a bad heart. Itâs mainly because Renee is so amazing, and sheâs a total fanatic about her."
"Youâre the fanatic," Michelle Fuller retorted, grabbing a small trinket and tossing it at him.
Sean Fuller caught it with a laugh and turned to Barbie Lowe. "See? Thatâs just how my sis is. She even scolds her own brother, so donât overthink it."
Barbie Lowe: "..."
âAn idiot. A goddamn fucking idiot!â
"Renee, did you know? That disgusting human dared to say I look disgusting..." Green Hat complained pitifully in the study.
Renee Jennings comforted him. "Donât be sad. Iâll help you chew her out in a bit, okay?"
Green Hat nodded. "Okay. You have to yell really loud, or I wonât be able to hear you from in here."
Renee Jennings couldnât help but laugh. "How about I take you out so you can watch the show?"
"Really?" Green Hat was instantly excited, his eyes shining as he looked at her.
"Really." Renee Jennings opened the terrarium and let him climb out on his own.
"Renee, can you live here?" Green Hat asked, looking up at her expectantly after climbing out of the terrarium.
Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow slightly. "Why?"
Green Hat gave a little chuckle. "So I can come out and play every day."
"How about I talk to Mr. Fuller and ask him to let you out to play every day? Is that okay?" Renee Jennings said with a smile. "Because this isnât my house, I canât live here."
"Oh, okay then." Green Hat sighed in disappointment. "Then can you come visit me often?"
"Iâm usually pretty busy, but if I have time, Iâll come see you," Renee Jennings said, not wanting to make a promise she couldnât keep and leave Green Hat waiting.
"Okay," Green Hat replied glumly.
The girl and the lizard arrived in the main hall.
"Renee, youâre here!" A smile finally returned to Michelle Fullerâs face.
Renee Jenningsâs lips curled. "Green Hat wanted to come join the fun."
"Great!" Michelle Fuller clapped her hands and called out, "Green Hat, come over here."
Green Hat was already familiar with Michelle Fuller, so when he heard her call, he scurried over to her side.
Seeing Barbie Lowe sitting opposite them, Green Hat snorted fiercely. "Disgusting thief!"
"Renee," Michelle Fuller said softly, casually stroking Green Hatâs head, "do you remember Miss Lowe joining your live stream?"
"I do." Renee Jenningsâs gaze fell on Barbie Loweâs face, her eyes holding a deep, mysterious look. "Miss Lowe has a Devon Rex cat. I even remember its name is Egg Roll."
Sean Fuller exclaimed, "Thatâs right! Barbie has a cat named Egg Roll! Renee, how is your memory so good?"
Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow in a half-smile. "Because what Egg Roll said that day left a deep impression on me."
Barbie Loweâs back went rigid, her heart pounded, and she felt a wave of anxiety and irritation.
She stared nervously at Renee Jennings, taking deep breaths to calm herself.
âWhat exactly did this woman hear?â
âWhat in the world did that stupid Egg Roll say?â
Barbie Loweâs nails dug into the soft flesh of her palm. She struggled for a moment before finally speaking. "Renee, could I talk to you outside for a minute?"
"Why?" Michelle Fuller asked. "Is there something my brother and I arenât allowed to hear?"
Barbie Lowe frowned, feeling extremely annoyed.
She fought to control her temper and keep from losing it in public, forcing a stiff smile and saying in a sweet voice, "Sister Michelle, can I explain it to you later?"
