Chapter 440: Chapter 440: Considering Sending One of Them Away
Kaka leaped to the floor and fled as fast as a panther.
SpicyRoll looked baffled. "Whatâs wrong with Kaka?"
Momo grinned. "Kaka must have gotten scared after seeing me."
SpicyRoll walked up to the camera, exasperated. "Streamer, I just went to get Kaka, but he ran off again the second we reached the doorway."
Renee Jennings chuckled. "SpicyRoll, I think I have an idea of whatâs going on."
"Huh?" SpicyRollâs face filled with surprise. "Streamer, you already know?"
"I had a chat with Momo," Renee Jennings explained. "He said that when he first arrived at this home..."
SpicyRoll listened, stunned. She said in disbelief, "Oh my god, I thought Kaka was just playing with Momo. I canât believe he was actually bullying him?"
She sized up the goofy-looking Momo, a mix of amusement and resignation on her face. "So when Momo got bigger, Kaka didnât dare to bully him anymore. And now heâs afraid Momo will get revenge, so he hides whenever he sees him?"
"Thatâs probably it," Renee Jennings said with a smile. "But we should still find Kaka and confirm with him."
SpicyRoll rubbed Momoâs big head, her voice full of apology. "I had no idea Kaka was bullying you. You poor thing."
"No, itâs okay!" Momo shook his head. "I like playing with Kaka."
Hearing Momoâs thoughts relayed by Renee Jennings, SpicyRollâs heart ached for him even more. "Alright, Iâll ask the streamer for help."
"Okay!" Momo was delighted.
SpicyRoll took the phone, with Renee Jennings on the screen, and went to find Kaka.
"Kaka, where are you hiding now?"
Kaka was hiding in the darkness under the bed, his eyes glowing with a faint green light as he stared warily at the world outside.
"Kaka?" SpicyRoll entered the room, scanned it, and then bent down to look under the bed. "Kaka, why are you hiding again?"
Kakaâs furry little face was dead serious. "How can I not hide? You think this is easy for me? That damn dog is huge. He could swallow me in one bite."
Hearing this, Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow. "Kaka, you donât need to worry. Momo wonât bully you. He wants to be good friends with you."
"I donât believe you!" Kaka huffed. "Stop trying to fool a cat. How could that damn dog possibly want to be friends with me? He must hate my guts."
A hint of amusement flickered in Renee Jenningsâs eyes. "Kaka, what makes you think Momo hates you?"
"Because..." Kakaâs voice faltered, suddenly guilty and hesitant to say more.
"Because when he first arrived at this home, you, as the original resident, constantly bullied him. Right?" Renee Jennings finished the sentence he couldnât.
Kakaâs eyes flew wide with shock. He crept forward a few steps and poked his little head out. "How did you know?"
Renee Jennings: "Momo told me."
"Hmph!" Kaka was upset now. "That damn dog actually bad-mouthed me! I knew he hated me!"
Renee Jennings: "..."
âI think I just said the wrong thing.â
Renee Jennings quickly explained, "Momo wasnât bad-mouthing you. He was just helping me understand why you donât play with him anymore."
"Then why bring up the fact that I used to bully him?" Kaka was very unhappy, practically seething. "That damn dog! He did it on purpose!"
"Kaka, do you hate Momo?" Renee Jennings asked.
Kaka hesitated for a moment before meowing, "I donât hate him."
"You know, Momo said he actually really likes playing with you."
"For real?" Kaka was skeptical. "That damn dog Momo has to be lying to you!"
"Why donât you believe it?"
Kaka thought for a moment before explaining, "Because Momo is so big now, and I used to bully him so much. He definitely remembers all of it. If I were him, Iâd totally get revenge!"
Renee Jenningsâs lips curled into a slight smile. "So, if Momo doesnât get revenge, would you be willing to play with him again?"
Kaka: "How could he not get revenge on me?"
Hearing this, Renee Jennings said to SpicyRoll, "SpicyRoll, call Momo in."
"Okay." SpicyRoll called out, "Momo, come here!"
"Coming!" Momo trotted in happily, his tongue lolling out.
Catching Momoâs scent, Kaka retreated deep under the bed again.
"Momo," Renee Jennings said softly, "do you want to play with Kaka?"
"I do!" Momo nodded his big head vigorously. "Kaka is my good friend. Of course I want to play with him."
"Kaka, did you hear that?" Renee Jennings asked.
Of course Kaka heard him, but he still found it strange. "Why? Momo, why do you still want to play with me? I used to bully you all the time..."
"So what if you bullied me a bit!" Momo didnât mind at all. "I just thought you were playing with me the whole time!"
Kaka was so surprised he couldnât help but run out from under the bed, his round eyes staring at Momo curiously. "Momo, youâre not mad at me?"
"Nope, not mad." Momo cautiously approached him. "Youâre so cute, how could I ever be mad at you!"
Hearing this, Kaka was suddenly overwhelmed with remorse for his past actions. "Momo, I... Iâm sorry!"
"No need to be sorry!" Momo shuffled two paws closer. "But from now on, can you please not hide from me all the time? Okay?"
"I can do that!" Kaka agreed, then asked worriedly, "You really wonât bully me?"
"Really!" Momo nodded emphatically. "Weâre good friends!"
After saying that, he even leaned in and nuzzled Kakaâs head.
[Wow, the misunderstanding between Momo and Kaka is resolved!]
[Momo seems so gentle.]
[I also think Momo is such a good boy.]
SpicyRoll watched her two furballs getting along, a relieved smile spreading across her face.
She treated them both equally, patting both of their heads, and chuckled. "Alright then. You two play nicely together from now on."
SpicyRoll flipped the camera to show her own face, her expression full of gratitude. "Streamer, thank you so much! You helped me solve a huge problem!"
âIf this hadnât been resolved and Kaka kept hiding from Momo, she might have had to consider giving one of them away.â
âThis is so much better. Everyone can live happily together now.â
After SpicyRoll left the call, she sent a "Shining Firework" gift worth 999 yuan.
Apparently feeling that wasnât enough, she sent another "Shining Firework" while Renee Jennings was recounting the story of Kaka and Momo to her audience.
âEven so,â she thought, âit was still much cheaper than a trip to the vet.â
âBesides, sometimes you spend all that money and the problem still doesnât get solved.â
[Iâd love to have one of Momoâs puppies! His temperament is just too good!]
[This suddenly reminded me of that girl from before, the one who also had a cat and a dog. The dog ended up eating the cat!]
[I remember that too. That dog seemed to be a Krylia.]
[Momo is so, so good in comparison.]
When SpicyRoll saw the bullet comments from people asking for Momoâs puppies, she quickly sent a comment of her own: [Sorry, ladies, but Momo has been neutered.]
