Chapter 565: Chapter 565: How Could the Two of Them Have a Child?
Renee worried that if she revealed the sordid things Zoe Morgan had done right away, Aria and her son would instantly lose their appetites.
Vincent Morgan was incredibly curious about the important matter sheâd mentioned, and his mind kept guessing what it could be.
Aria Sinclair, on the other hand, quietly focused her attention on Renee, silently observing her eating habitsâwhich dishes she took the most of, and which she hadnât touched at all.
The atmosphere during the meal was pleasant enough, with Faye Wyatt finding topics of conversation for most of the time. She played her role as a mediator quite competently and was skilled at harmonizing the mood.
After the meal, Faye Wyatt had the waiter clear the plates and bring out tea and a fruit platter.
Next up was the main event: the gossip session.
On the way from the parking lot earlier, Renee had revealed to her that there was some earth-shattering gossip tonight.
After pouring tea for everyone, the waiter tactfully excused himself from the private room.
Faye Wyatt confirmed the door to the room was closed, then turned her gaze to Renee, a deep-seated curiosity hidden in her eyes.
Renee met her gaze and couldnât help but find it amusing.
She leisurely lifted her teacup, took a few sips, and placed it back on the coaster before finally turning her head to look at Aria Sinclair and her son.
Seeing this, Aria Sinclair unconsciously tensed up. Her back straightened, leaving the chair, and even her breathing grew much lighter as she quietly clenched her fists in her lap.
Vincent Morgan looked toward Renee, his sharp features set in a serious expression.
Reneeâs lips moved, and she slowly began, "Ms. Sinclair, Mr. Morgan, have you ever watched my livestreams?"
Aria Sinclairâs cheeks flushed, and she nodded with some embarrassment. "I have. I was even watching today."
Renee smiled faintly and continued, "Then you must know about the fact that I can communicate with animals?"
"I do," Aria Sinclair replied with exceptional speed, her eyes shining with delight and her tone filled with irrepressible excitement. "Youâre amazing."
"How did you get the link to Reneeâs livestream?" Vincent Morgan asked in surprise.
He had asked Sylvia Brooks to share the link before, but sheâd refused. Later, he happened to glimpse an employeeâs phone screen in the elevator, saw it was Renee, and only found out after asking.
"Be quiet for a moment," Aria Sinclair said, then turned her attention back to Renee. "Renee, please continue."
"Before my stream today, my friend Swallow told me something," Renee said softly. "Itâs related to the Morgan family."
At these words, curious expressions appeared on both Aria Sinclairâs and Vincent Morganâs faces, their eyes filled with inquiry.
"Swallow heard it?"
"Something about the Morgan family? Is it good news or bad news?"
The corners of Reneeâs lips curved into a faint, mysterious smile. "Whether itâs good news or bad depends on how you define it. From my perspective, itâs just a complete mess."
As soon as she finished speaking, the color drained from both Aria Sinclairâs and Vincent Morganâs faces.
The curiosity from moments before vanished instantly. A grave expression settled over the mother and sonâs somewhat similar faces, their brows furrowed and their eyes filled with worry.
âIf Renee considers it a mess, then it canât possibly be good news.â
Renee offered a friendly warning, "You two should prepare yourselves, especially you, Ms. Sinclair."
Having been singled out, Aria Sinclairâs heart suddenly clenched, and waves of ominous premonition washed over her.
"Me?" she asked, tense and uneasy, her fingertips curling unconsciously. "Is it related to me?"
"Yes," Renee nodded.
Aria Sinclairâs mind was in turmoil; she couldnât imagine what it could be.
âBased on my experience watching her livestreams,â she thought, âRenee dislikes us so much, yet she specifically arranged to meet in person to talk. Something huge must have happened.â
Aria Sinclairâs face grew pale, and her voice trembled slightly. "Wh... What is it?"
"Are you ready?" A trace of amusement flickered in Reneeâs eyes.
Aria Sinclair gave a stiff nod.
"Do you know a Genevieve Hayes?" Renee asked lightly.
"Genevieve Hayes?" Aria Sinclair hadnât heard that name in a long time. She paused for a few seconds before answering, "I know her. She was Zoeâs good friend, but she passed away many years ago."
Vincent Morgan added, "I donât remember much about Aunt Genevieve."
"Genevieve Hayes was Zoe Morganâs good friend, thatâs correct." Renee smiled, pressing her lips together. "But that wasnât the only kind of relationship they had."
Faye Wyatt frowned, not understanding why Renee would suddenly bring up Genevieve Hayes today.
âWhat does the Morgan familyâs business have to do with Genevieve Hayes?â
"What do you mean?" Aria Sinclairâs expression was one of confusion.
Renee said, "Zoe Morgan was in love with Genevieve Hayes. She even did many absurd things for her."
"Renee, what do you mean by âin loveâ?" Aria Sinclair was even more bewildered. She felt like she couldnât understand the sentence at all.
Renee blinked and explained, "The same way Ms. Sinclair loves Mr. Zachary Morgan."
Aria Sinclairâs expression instantly went blank.
âAlthough itâs not that unusual these days for a girl to love another girl, it was still a bit of a shock to hear it had happened in her own family.â
"This is... unexpected," she said.
Renee nodded, her tone softening slightly. "Ms. Sinclair, there are still plenty of things you havenât expected."
Aria Sinclair stared intently at the fair, beautiful face before her and asked uneasily, "What else is there?"
Renee said, "The person Genevieve Hayes liked wasnât Zoe Morgan."
"Then who was it?" Vincent Morgan was the one who asked.
Aria Sinclair seemed to guess something. The ominous feeling in her heart grew stronger, and she squeezed her hands so tightly her knuckles turned white.
Reneeâs gaze swept over the three people present, and she said with a hint of regret, "The person Genevieve Hayes loved... was Zachary Morgan."
BOOMâ
A dull roar suddenly exploded in Aria Sinclairâs mind, as if a bolt of lightning had struck her, leaving her entire body rigid with shock.
"Is that true?" Vincent Morgan asked in a low voice.
Renee felt a bit thirsty from all the talking. She picked up her teacup, took a few sips, and said unhurriedly, "Faye should know about this too, right?"
âShe and Zoe Morgan were so close; she must have known something.â
Vincent Morgan and Aria Sinclair both turned to look at Faye Wyatt in unison.
"Itâs true," Faye Wyatt admitted, not planning to hide anything. "I heard Vivi mention it. But Genevieve only had a secret crush on Zachary; she never confessed her feelings."
"She certainly never confessed to Zachary Morgan," Renee said lightly. "But she did have a child with him, without his knowledge."
Faye Wyattâs eyes flew wide in astonishment, the elegance ingrained in her very being washed away by her shock.
âEarth-shattering gossip!â
âThis really is earth-shattering gossip!â
But for Aria Sinclair, this earth-shattering gossip was devastating news.
The blood drained from her face, leaving it as white as a sheet. Her body trembled uncontrollably, and she looked like a withered leaf, about to fall in a storm.
"How... How could the two of them have a child?" Even her breaths were shaky.
Renee sighed. "You can thank her admirer, Zoe Morgan, for that."
"My aunt?" Vincent Morganâs face was filled with disbelief. "Are you saying my aunt helped her?"
