Chapter 94: Chapter 94 "Die" Once_1
Several days ago, when Aiden asked Meiruki for a favor.
"...Thatās none of your concern." In the meeting room, Aiden finished replying to Meiruki on the other side of the iron table, then broached another subject, "Besides that, thereās something else I want you to do."
"Please, command me."
"Since you are so proficient in pharmacology, canāt you make a potion that feigns death?" Aiden asked.
"Feigned death?" Meiruki didnāt catch on at once.
"I mean a potion that makes the consumer lose all signs of life for a while, indistinguishable from actual death, yet with the application of a remedy, they can be brought back to life. Do you have such a potion?" Aiden asked again.
Aiden had heard of potions that induce fake death in various fictional stories in his previous life; however, these potions did not actually exist in the world he came from.
The level of civilization in this world, along with its overall medical standards, was quite different compared to those of his previous world.
But in this world, there was magic and Magic Potions. Many miraculous Magic Potions could achieve effects that pharmacology in his previous world couldnāt explain.
Most advanced knowledge of Magic Potion studies was still in the hands of witches engaging in illegal research, and they rarely shared this knowledge with others.
Meiruki was a top scholar in the study of Magic Potions, so Aiden held some expectations for her.
"Well, then youāve found the right person. Oh yes, I can make a potion that puts the body into a temporary state of complete hibernation... But itās not entirely safe. If an ordinary person enters hibernation for more than an hour without receiving an antidote, there is a risk to their life," Meiruki explained.
Meiruki gave Aiden the answer he was looking for, and after some thought, she suddenly realized something, "Could it be that you want to use this potion on Camilla?"
"I intend to directly resolve the feud between Slyne and Camilla," Aiden said frankly, seeing that she had guessed the truth, "Having Camilla ādieā once seems like the simplest method."
Quelling hatred is not about persuading the vengeful, but about killing their enemy for them.
"Just using the potion might not be convincing enough, right?" Meiruki warned, "Revenants can lock onto the soul signature of their enemies."
"For that matter, Iāll have Asenna take care of it; she should be able to put on a disguise. The curse of āevil spirits possessionā can give the living the scent of the dead," Aiden said.
"In theory, that could work," Meiruki nodded in agreement, "But we still need to create an opportunity for Slyne to believe that Camilla has been poisoned."
"I plan to stage a play," Aiden said with crossed arms, "Since you can make that potion, help me out. You should be quite the actor."
"My, Warden, you flatter me..."
"Donāt be modest, youāre the one who orchestrated a riot in my prison," Aiden teased, "It should be easy for you to deceive Slyne, given her eagerness for revenge, donāt you think?"
"Of course, itās no problem," Meiruki laughed, accepting Aidenās "praise" quite frankly, "But for this kind of thing, itās best if Camilla participates and cooperates, right?"
If the plan were executed without Camillaās knowledge, and she detected the drug, the whole act would fall apart.
"Donāt worry, sheāll cooperate," Aiden said confidently, "Resolving the issue with Slyne is also in her best interests. Besides, she has already promised to be my dog."
Aiden had already devised a plan to punish Carlo Bollpo ā though his actions were mainly driven by his personal desires, he did not plan to let go of the repayment Camilla had promised.
Although Camilla was a difficult character to manage, she was also quite a useful asset. Utilizing such a villain to govern other minor characters in the prison sometimes yielded results that were more remarkable than what could be achieved through pressure from the guards.
"Prepare some medicine for me later, I need to conduct an animal experiment first," Aiden ordered Meiruki.
"Iāve already promised you, do you still have to doubt me?" Meiruki faked a disappointed expression, "What about trust between people?"
"Cut the crap, where do you criminals get any credit to speak of?"

...
Time reverted to the present, in the core zone infirmary.
"Cough! Cough cough cough!!" Camilla, just having woken up, was lying on the edge of the bed and coughed violently for a while, then sat up on the hospital bed, wiped her nose and drool, and took a few deep breaths, "That medicine almost suffocated me to death."
"Itās over now, Slyne is free, and you have one less trouble," Aiden, with his hands behind his back, stood beside her, "From now on, just serve your sentence honestly. You havenāt forgotten what you promised, have you?"
Camilla thought for a moment, nodded in understanding with an "Oh", then said with a mischievous smile, "You mean, have a round with you, right? No problem!"
As she spoke, she began to undress, and Veronica immediately rolled her eyes at this.
"I mean be my dog!" Aiden corrected her with a stern face and slapped Camillaās head hard.
"I think the two arenāt mutually exclusive," Camilla suddenly said with a serious face.
"Donāt give me that slick talk. Your business is settled now, if thereās nothing else, roll back to your cell," Aiden pointed towards the exit of the infirmary.
"All right," Camilla rolled out of bed and walked towards the infirmary door, with Veronica following and keeping an eye on her.
At the door, Camilla suddenly turned her head, smiled mysteriously at Aiden, "Warden, Iām serious, you know. Iām still quite interested in a strong man like you. Maybe you should consider it seriously later on?"
"Move along now, donāt block the door!" Veronica, with a dark face, pushed her out and slammed the door shut.
Before long, the door to the infirmary was opened again, and the prison guard Isabella walked in and saluted Aiden, "Sir, the family member of prisoner 3271 has arrived."
"Hmm, get everything ready, Iāll go there now," Aiden nodded earnestly.
A few minutes later, at the prison side door reception.
"This is Slyneās remains, take good care of her," Aiden handed the urn to the scar-faced youth, "Her belongings from the prison, and the remaining management fund, are all in that box over there."
"I sincerely thank you," the scar-faced youth bowed in gratitude.
Days ago, during the youthās visit, Aiden had informed him of what he planned to do with Slyne and asked him to come over that day.
"Iāve received news from the mounted police unit - Carlo Borbo is done for. What do you plan to do now?" Aiden asked casually.
"Because of the meritorious report, Iāve been commended by the big boss, who now sees me as a confidant," the youth replied.
"Congratulations to you ā although it probably isnāt quite appropriate for me to say so," Aiden shrugged.
"Thereās nothing to congratulate. Seeing their end, Iāve come to realize, pursuing this line of work, itās hard to come to a good end..." the youth said with a helpless smile, "Anyway, I sincerely thank you for everything youāve done for us."
The youth left with Slyneās belongings, and Aiden personally saw him off for a while, then closed the door.
