Chapter 126: Chapter 126: Missed by a Tiny Bit_1
"When we made the deal, you didnāt say I had to give my body to you as well. Not that Iām saying... absolutely not, but this is so sudden, Iām really a bit nervous," Daili said hesitantly, glancing at Presia without recognizing her, "Is she also going to join us? Four people in one day, Warden, donāt you think thatās a bit... indulgent?"
Huh?
What is this woman talking about?
The more Aiden listened, the more confused he became.
He had originally brought Daili here to persuade Presia, but now it seemed the effect was somewhat...
As expected, Presiaās face darkened at the speed visible to the naked eye, "Is this what you call a... ādealā?"
"What the hell are you talking about?" Aiden demanded, staring intently at Daili.
"Well, didnāt you just... take that succubus in the cell opposite mine and Presia to your office?" Daili asked puzzled.
"Damn it, what have you done to my body!?" Presia couldnāt help but slam the table and rise, forcefully trying to break free from the shackles binding her to the chair, "I canāt stand this, I want to leave! Let me out!"
"Hey, donāt move around! Sit down!!" Aiden shouted at Presia, then turned his head back to Daili, "Stop talking nonsense, I have legitimate business to investigate!"
"Why bother with such excuses, Warden? What kind of investigation requires a succubus?" Dailiās expression became somewhat complicated.
"I only needed to borrow her dream infiltration ability, thatās all. Isnāt she back in her cell by now? I did tell her to go back and explain things properly to the other prisoners!" Aiden said with a slight frown.
"Huh?" Daili looked surprised, "But she clearly said..."
In that moment, Aiden finally realized the root of the problem.
"She said what?" Aiden gave a "kind" smile.
"Eh?" Daili paused, then realized what was going on, "Ah, I see."
"She came back saying, āThat one hour Iāll never forget for the rest of my lifeā." Daili covered her mouth with her hand, "And said you changed positions thirty-six times in that hour..."
Instantly, the smile on Aidenās face remained, but veins were bulging on his forehead.
...
A minute later, there was an additional person in the interrogation room.
Aiden, arms crossed, sized up Fille, who sat cowering and looking down in front of him, tapping his arm with his finger as if counting down.
After a moment of silence, he nodded at Fille, "Very well, it seems Iāve underestimated your courage to stir trouble. I must admit, even combined, the most challenging prisoners in this jail canāt get on my nerves as much as you can. Any last words, make it brief."
"Ehehe, I only... I only wanted to brag a little bit, so I did a teensy bit of artistic embellishing," Fille gestured a small amount with her fingers.
"I feel like I saw a galaxy between your fingers," Aiden replied coldly, "Youāre clearly spreading rumors and causing trouble!"
"Itās all because you, Lord Aiden, neglected me." Fille began twiddling her fingers in a pitiful manner, "Saying I got flipped over but went back empty-handed, how could I possibly say such a thing? Itās a matter of my dignity as a succubus!"
"So youāre standing your ground now, huh?" Aiden glared at Fille.
"No, no, no!" Fille quickly showed weakness, waving her hands continuously. "Look, Lord Aiden, Iāve sung your praises quite a bit, so you didnāt lose anything, right..."
"My reputation has been harmed; Iāve suffered quite a loss." Aiden interrupted her coldly.
"But I did use my abilities to help you out before, didnāt I? So that should even things out. Letās just pretend nothing happened, okay?" Fille said, spreading her hands with a smile that tried to smooth things over.
"So you want to settle things in detail with me? I havenāt forgotten about your plan to charm me earlier! At best, that evens out the work you did, but we still need to settle the matter of you spreading those rumors about me." Aiden didnāt let her off the hook.
"Alright then, Iāll accept my punishment!" Fille sighed as if in surrender. "Whip, candle, or wooden horse, I can take whatever..."
Aiden looked at her coldly, replying word by word, "Solitary confinement."
...
"No please!!!!!" Fille let out a scream of despair, grabbed by two members of the riot squad, one on each side, and dragged toward the isolation cell.
Aiden watched them walk away expressionlessly, then turned and went back into the negotiating room, casually closing the door behind him.
"Now that the misunderstanding has been cleared up, letās continue."
He sat down at the iron table, with Presia and Daili sitting side by side opposite him.
"This prison really is lively..." Presia commented with a complex expression on her face.
"Youāre also welcome to join our big family now. I can arrange a room for you with that succubus too," Aiden joked.
"Iāll pass," Presia declined.
"So, Warden, what did you call me here for?" Daili touched her lips with her knuckles, smiling seductively at Aiden, "I didnāt expect it was all just a misunderstanding. To be honest, Iām a little disappointed."
"Keep pretending!" Aiden almost laughed, remembering how nervous she had been. "I called you here to let you meet an old friend."
"Old friend?"
"She can explain it to you better," Aiden glanced at Presia.
"Alright." Presia looked at Daili, who was clearly surprised. "No hard feelings, Daili. I didnāt expect to reunite with you in prison. I was actually planning to rescue you. Itās me, Presia."
After a few minutes of explanation, Daili finally understood the situation: "So thatās what happened. The being inside that body was actually a senior Judge. No wonder she was so resistant to me. I canāt believe you performed such a powerful spell, Presia..."
"I also didnāt expect that you would make a deal with Aiden Galahad, letting him place that kind of demonic contract on you, and even using the shadow demon you summoned...," Presia asked earnestly, "Is he really worth that much trust?"
"As far as my personal opinion goes..." Daili glanced at Aiden, curling her lip, "Heās a man who adheres to the rules, at least Iām quite satisfied with him."
Presia looked at Aiden, who spread his hands: "There, that should put your mind at ease, right?"
After much thought, Presia finally relented: "Well, since Daili has said so, I guess I can give it a try, itās not out of the question."
"Good, then letās swap the bodies back with Rebecca first..." Aiden breathed a sigh of relief.
At that moment, Presia added, "But, I have conditions."
