“Nervous?” Axel asked Gloria as the car entered the mansion’s lower gates and began to climb up the mountain.

“Yes… The last time I was here, let’s say my experience was subpar…” she said as she peered out of the window at the familiar lush forest surrounding the road up and the little maids who could sometimes be seen working through the gaps in the foliage.

“Don’t worry, since you have become my woman, everything should be fine…” Axel chuckled. “The same applies to you…” He turned and told Xue, who was sitting on his other side.

“Whatever…” Xue pouted as she looked away, blushing a bit.

“...” Axel smirked just as the car stopped next to the mansion, and he helped his two new girlfriends down.

“So you are back!” someone said, making them all turn.

“Hsssssssssssss…………..” Gloria gasped. “The… the…”

Axel frowned, looking at his supposed brother who stood in front of the mansion. Two days ago, his father called him and told him that the real one was back. That’s why he traveled covertly!

“The real Victor…?” Xue questioned as she looked between the two brothers, who looked like twins.

“Oh… So he already told you…” Victor clicked his tongue as he silently cursed at Axel. The idiot couldn’t hold his tongue; that’s why, after Lin told the former what Axel did, he changed his plan to meet him privately.

“I never planned to hide a thing from them, we…” Axel paused as a girl ran from behind him and jumped at Victor, kissing him hard as she climbed him like a monkey.  Totally disregarding the others.

“I missed you…” she whispered as she let go a few minutes later.

“I missed you too… “ he whispered softly as his hand slid down her back. “We will ‘talk’ later, why don’t you guide my two sisters-in-law…”

“Three…” Lin, who was actively groping him with one hand, pointed the other toward a sickly-looking woman who walked from the back seat, then began inspecting Victor from head to toe nervously.  “She is a local who was pulled inside with us when the dungeon opened!" Lin whispered. “Also… She seems to have amnesia…”

“How convenient…” Victor whispered as he squinted his eyes, looking at that woman. He had already seen her through Lin’s eyes; that’s why he had to follow the new plan.

Although she looked totally different, he knew about this one.

“Follow me!” Victor gestured to Axel to follow him, and the latter hesitated for a moment, then quickly obliged.

“We never met officially, but as you know, I am Victor, supposedly your older stepbrother…” Victor said as he looked at the handsome face of the guy sitting in front of him in the study. According to Margaret’s info, he was born 3 months ahead of Axel.

“Hsssssssssss………. Axel gaped, totally unaware of what Victor was doing.  “You mean you too are a…”

“When did that happen?” Axel frowned and asked.

“I meant to ask, when did you make me drink the wine….” Axel corrected his question as he silently cursed Victor. The rumor he heard about him being a pervert seemed right!

“Oh… It was not me, but Margret… She ordered one of the men to follow you and slip it in when you went to some bar… “ Victor lied. Due to that ‘Eavesdropping Pin’ on Axel’s chest, Victor could tell that Bianca or someone else might be listening, so he decided to make up a story fabricated from truth and lies. And also totally reveal that Axel was a time traveler! The fact that the world didn’t stop him from revealing this meant that it would not harm Axel! “Don’t blame us… But when you told her to invest in the GreenSun Coin, she quickly figured things out…”

I was not sure about their origin and was worried that he might have plagiarized them, so I also made him drink some wine! That idiot wasted an entire bottle… Still, I got a lot of info about him!” Victor said. “But now I fear that this guy might have told someone else…. Especially after you lost the rights for the novels…” he added, glaring at Axel.

“Ah… Yes… It was that strange guy with the power to make people forget… Maybe they are the ones who got the news from Abe… They might also be the ones behind his death!” Axel said, feeling the need to phrase it like that for some reason.

“Can’t you buy those rights back?” Axel asked. “I mean, wouldn’t it be easy to figure out who is behind this just by making the novel, then wait to see who will sue us?”

“Margret tried, and we already found out… The rights had been sold off to many different parties who had contracts themselves about not being able to do anything with the novels until 10 years later… They will have to sue whoever tries to infringe… It’s so much of a mess that even if I can buy those guys off, the cost would be so great that making the movie is no longer worth it!“ Victor explained with annoyance. “Whoever did this didn’t seem to need them, but just delayed us from making the movies….” Victor frowned. Now he could theorize that the Oblivion lord’s goal was to try to preserve the other timeline as much as possible…

“In the future, try not to reveal anything about your time stuff… I don’t know what Abe said, but we'd better be careful, since you are impersonating me, I don’t want anything to happen to my wives!” Victor warned.

“Wouldn’t that be a problem as I would be in public…” Axel frowned. He really didn't want to be in this mansion near that birch Margret, but the hotel was not that private.

“Of course not… Come on, we are brothers, we have to trust each other!” he said as he took a bottle of high-grade Elven wine stolen from a certain Alchemist workshop. He quickly poured two cups before Axel could refuse.

“Come on…” Victor said, pushing one toward him.

“I…” Axel didn’t even reach for the cup as he felt very strange. Although the mead looked very delicious and tempting, something was stopping him from drinking it. As if doing so would put him in grave danger! “I just drank and….”

Axel paused.

The world around him suddenly turned dark. He couldn’t move at all but just glared at the guy who sat in front of him. Victor.

“This is…”

“Axel von Weise… You owe me three things!” Victor said with a sweet smile… His lips never moved, but Axel heard him. “For your time travel… For my talisman slave marks on your soul, and being me for the last few weeks…!” Victor said.

“What I…” Axel didn’t get it. What Talisman slave marks? What did he mean by owing him for the time travel? Slowly, the active skill filled him in on what was going on.

He was so shocked by what this all meant that he didn’t know how to respond. Victor was the one who brought him back in time? How… “How…”

“If I tell you, you wouldn’t be able to afford it… And it wouldn’t matter!” Victor just said. “In exchange for all of that, I demand two things… The first is that you will immediately and willingly drink everything in the cup in front of you, and the second is that you will totally forget we had this conversation the second this arbitration ends!” Victor's smile grew wider as he said that.

The world was not stopping him, and this was for a simple reason. He was doing a fair trade!

“I...” Axel wanted to say something, but couldn’t. “...”

“You don’t have a saying?”

“Not something you should concern yourself with…” Victor said. "Let's..." he paused.

Axel found himself a little absentminded for a second there, but looking at the cub in front of him, he couldn’t help grabbing it and drawing it up in one go…

“Ah…. wh….” Axel said as he felt all his body flare with pain. The price of a failed skill activation that he no longer remembers.

“It is just the effect of this thing!” Victor said as he also drowned his own cup. In his vision, a prompt showed up.

“Sorry… I forgot it was not meant for humans....” Victor said with difficulty as he stood up.

"Not for humans?" Axel frowned.

“Nothing... Let’s go meet up with others...” he said as he stood up with difficulty.

Despite the pain, he was glad with the result. Now he seemed to have found a good way to make scions for his slaves. All he needed was to make them indebted enough to him!

Now, all he had was to wait for a few days, then let the ‘Whimsical System’ find his new host… Wait, should he try to make another system for Axel?
