But it will also be inconvenient for you to relieve yourself once it’s out.”

“I know,” Lin Lan nodded vigorously, “but you’ll help me, right?”

“Alright,” Luo Ziling touched his nose awkwardly, “can I refuse this task?”

“Actually, I hoped you’d hire a caregiver for me; it would be more convenient,” Lin Lan quietly suggested.

“Forget it, I’ll bear the hardship myself. I don’t trust anyone else,” Luo Ziling actually felt it would be too awkward and uncomfortable with someone else around Lin Lan.

“Then it’s up to you,” Lin Lan said, and then yawned, “I’m getting sleepy.”

“Then go to sleep. I’ll go back to my dorm for a bit.”

Lin Lan hesitated for a moment, then softly added: “Lie down and talk to me until I fall asleep; you can leave after that.”

Seeing Lin Lan like this, Luo Ziling hesitated but ultimately agreed.

He brought over a stool, sat down beside Lin Lan, and said with a smile, “I’ll go back to my dorm for a bit, but I’ll be here with you tonight. I’m not at ease leaving you alone.”

“Where will you sleep?” Lin Lan knew there was only one bed in the room.

“I can sleep on the sofa,” Luo Ziling didn’t mind, “There are blankets anyway. The room has heating, so I won’t freeze.”

Looking at Luo Ziling, utterly serious, Lin Lan nodded her head and a tender smile appeared on her face.

“Alright, let’s sleep,” said Luo Ziling as he straightened Lin Lan’s tangled hair on her forehead, “A good night’s sleep can promote recovery even more. You should be like a newborn baby, eat then sleep, sleep then eat. It’s okay to gain a bit of weight, if worse comes to worst you can lose weight later.”

“Mhm,” Lin Lan obediently nodded her head and gently closed her eyes.

After Lin Lan fell asleep, Luo Ziling tiptoed out of the room, planning to head back to his dorm.

But just as he walked out of the small building where Lin Lan was staying and hadn’t reached the male dorms yet, he unexpectedly ran into Ouyang Huihui, who had just parked her car and was about to return to her dorm.

Ouyang Huihui confronted him with the hostility of a sworn enemy and, with the speed of a hundred-meter sprint, ran up to Luo Ziling before grabbing his arm, “Luo Ziling, you bastard, I sent you so many messages and you didn’t reply, called you and couldn’t get through, where the hell have you been?”
