Chapter 1473: Chapter 1473: The Stubborn Woman
Wang Qing had already arranged for a car over here.
Luo Ziling left in the BMW X6 off-road vehicle arranged for Ouyang Feifei.
âWhy do you also like riding in this kind of car?â Luo Ziling curiously asked as he got in.
âItâs a last-minute arrangement, there were only these kinds of cars,â Ouyang Feifei didnât want to explain too much.
Luo Ziling said nothing more and took out his phone, once again dialing Yang Qingyinâs number, but it still indicated the phone was turned off. He tried calling Ye Xiaoli as well, but it also couldnât connect. After sending messages to Yang Qingyin and Ye Xiaoli on WeChat, Luo Ziling put his phone away.
He noticed that Ouyang Feifei had sent him a message, but he didnât open it to read.
The car quickly returned to the area near the Bell Tower, driving into the parking lot of the Bell Tower Hotel where Luo Ziling was staying.
After Ouyang Feifei and Wang Qing brought their luggage upstairs, Luo Ziling first went back to his own room to rest.
Once in his room, he opened WeChat again, but there were still no replies from Yang Qingyin or Ye Xiaoli, leaving Luo Ziling quite disappointed.
To his surprise, however, he saw a new post from Yang Qingyin in her Moments.
Because he had been rushing around today, he hadnât checked Moments.
Yang Qingyin had posted two sets of photos. The first set were taken during a visit to the Shan History Museum, showing photos of treasures displayed in the exhibition hall.
The other set was taken from atop the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda.
This set of photos was accompanied by a caption: âA thousand years pass, the world changes, splendor fades, leaving no trace like a dream. What in this world can truly endure?â
The Moments post was made two hours ago, around 8 p.m.
At that time, Luo Ziling should have been on his way to the plaza near the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda.
Seeing these two sets of photos, Luo Ziling became even more certain that the girl he saw tonight at the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Plaza who resembled Yang Qingyin was indeed her. He believed that Yang Qingyin must have seen him running after her but still didnât want to meet him, so she avoided him.
Thinking about this, Luo Ziling felt a bit disheartened.
But seeing that Yang Qingyin had shared her journey on Moments without blocking him, it was clear she still wanted him to find her.
She must have seen the WeChat messages he sent, just unwilling to reply to him for now.
This realization made him feel a little better.
As he continued scrolling through Moments, he saw that Ouyang Feifei had also posted. Her post was taken at the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Plaza, around 9 p.m., about ten minutes before they encountered each other.
Ouyang Feifeiâs photos showed scenes of the fountain, the full view of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and a side-profile picture of herself. Her accompanying text read: âHe came here for her, I came here for him. In the end, who will meet whom?â
After carefully studying her photo set, Luo Ziling silently put away his phone.
Yang Qingyin and Ouyang Feifei had added each other as WeChat friends. If no privacy settings were applied, they could see each otherâs Moments posts. If Yang Qingyin had seen Ouyang Feifeiâs post, how would she feel?
Thinking of this made Luo Ziling feel dejected again.
Ouyang Feifei truly acted boldly; it was clear she intended to provoke Yang Qingyin.
He wanted to post something on Moments as well but realized he hadnât taken any photos earlier.
After a moment of thought, he walked over to the window and took photos of the nearby Bell Tower and Drum Tower, then composed a Moments post.
âSearching for her amidst the crowd a thousand times, suddenly turning, sheâs nowhere to be found in the dim light.â
After some consideration, he set the post to be visible only to Yang Qingyin.
He also left a comment under Yang Qingyinâs Moments post.
âI just saw someone at the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Plaza who looked a lot like you. Was it you? Can you give me a call? Iâm near the Bell Tower.â Just as he finished typing the comment, Ouyang Feifei called, asking if he wanted to go out for a late-night snack.
âAlright,â after thinking for a moment, Luo Ziling eventually agreed.
Since Ouyang Feifei had already shared a Moments post that Yang Qingyin could see, there was no need for him to avoid Ouyang Feifei anymore.
When he met the freshly dressed Ouyang Feifei in the hotel lobby, Luo Ziling asked with slight dissatisfaction, âYou rarely share anything on Moments, so why did you feel like posting today?â
âCanât I express my emotions?â Ouyang Feifei looked at Luo Ziling without dodging. âFor all these years, Iâve rarely acted on impulse. Todayâs impulsive choice made me feel young again, full of passion. Canât I indulge in a bit of sentimentality?â
Luo Ziling didnât know what to say and could only stay silent.
âIâve already admitted openly that I came here for you. I also hope Yang Qingyin sees it. I donât want to hide anything from her anymore. Besides, I know she heard that phone call,â Ouyang Feifei said calmly as if she were discussing something unrelated to herself. âEveryone has the right to love. I donât want to conceal my feelings anymore. If I meet Yang Qingyin here, Iâll have a good talk with her. The man is unmarried, the woman is singleâwhatâs wrong with that?â
âYouâve truly impressed me,â Luo Ziling sighed. âBut you should know this will only complicate things further.â
âLife is inherently complicated, and so are relationships between men and women. Although I donât have much experience in relationships, I believe only emotions that withstand the test of time and hardship can truly mature. You and Yang Qingyin are in this situation because of some misunderstandings and obstacles. As an outsider, Iâm not optimistic about your future together.â Ouyang Feifei spoke with a detached tone, as though the issue had no bearing on her.
Luo Ziling countered, âIf I dated you and had intimate relationships with other women, would you accept that?â
âIf I canât manage to make the person I like love me wholeheartedly, then Iâd consider that my failure.â
âWhat kind of philosophy is that?â
âEverything in life has its successes and setbacks.â
âAlright, letâs go get some late-night snacks!â Luo Ziling capitulated.
He figured that since Ouyang Feifei had already been so forthright, there was no point in him holding back anymore.
Ouyang Feifei put on glasses and a hat before heading out of the hotel with Luo Ziling.
The Bell Tower Hotel was very close to Muslim Street. Even at this hour, the Bell Tower area remained lively. As soon as the two stepped out of the hotel entrance, they were quickly surrounded by the bustling crowd. Luo Ziling didnât wear glasses or a hat to mask himself, and although Ouyang Feifei had lightly disguised herself, she still drew attention with her aura. The two stood out amidst the crowd, attracting many glances from passersby.
To Luo Zilingâs surprise, Wang Qing didnât accompany them.
âI hope we run into Yang Qingyin,â Ouyang Feifei softly said as they walked side by side toward Muslim Street.
Luo Ziling didnât respond, merely walking slowly.
However, he didnât want to encounter Yang Qingyin while out for a late-night snack with Ouyang Feifei, as that would only lead to more misunderstandings.
