Luo Ziling did not refuse and agreed cheerfully.

“Mom, maybe they’re just helping, like Lin Lan did for me, not a directive from the organization.”

Ling Ruonan paused after hearing this, then nodded lightly, “It’s possible.”

“Mom, I’m going abroad in three days. Today, Dean Wu Mingyun notified me that all procedures are completed. If there’s no anomaly, I’ll definitely go. If they let me leave, it means the police haven’t found anything pointing to us.”

“I’ve been having people follow the progress of the case these days, and it’s basically as you wished,” Ling Ruonan sighed slightly here, “but these things can suddenly change due to a small incident.”

“I understand,” Luo Ziling smiled, “you don’t have to worry, there won’t be such things happening.”

Ling Ruonan said no more.

Early the next morning, while Luo Ziling was still exercising, Yang Qingyin came over to find him.

Luo Ziling, who was practicing with Luo Liansheng in the yard, was surprised to see the guards bringing Yang Qingyin in.

“Carry on, I’m just here to watch you practice,” Yang Qingyin smiled at seeing Luo Ziling stop and gestured for them to continue.

Thus, Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng continued their spar, enjoying themselves immensely, leaving Yang Qingyin dumbfounded.

“To the uninformed, it looks like you two are fighting,” after they stopped, Yang Qingyin approached them, politely greeted Luo Liansheng, then smiled and said, “Your match is so captivating, way better than the fight scenes in movies.”

Luo Ziling laughed, full of pride, “Next time I’ll shoot an action film; it will surely be more thrilling than others, plus I won’t need a stunt double.”

“You’re really thinking of entering showbiz?” Yang Qingyin tilted her head, looking at Luo Ziling.

“No plan,” Luo Ziling shook his head, “If I really enter showbiz, how would other stars survive?”

Yang Qingyin froze for a moment, then spat playfully at Luo Ziling, “I’ve never seen anyone as vain as you.”

Luo Liansheng chuckled silently nearby, watching the young pair bicker, saying nothing.

At that moment, Ling Ruonan called from the window, telling them to wash up and have breakfast.

“You haven’t had breakfast yet, right? Let’s have it together, and afterwards we’ll go treat your grandfather.” Saying this, Luo Ziling held Yang Qingyin’s arm and headed indoors.

Yang Qingyin didn’t pull away, allowed Luo Ziling to lead her, but felt a bit shy being led by him in front of Luo Liansheng and Ling Ruonan.

They continued riding in the car driven by Ye Xiaoli, with Wang Zhenjun cheekily sitting in the front passenger seat. With Wang Zhenjun and Ye Xiaoli in front, Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin only discussed some trivialities regarding school.

The time was almost mid-month, yet the weather remained cold, with Yanjing’s lowest temperature still hovering around freezing.

Since it was agreed Luo Ziling would come for treatment today, Yang Yuanshan didn’t handle any matters but stayed in the old residence.

When Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin arrived, he was basking in the sun in the yard.

Two staff members stood at the distance, awaiting orders.

Seeing them approach, Yang Yuanshan waved the staff away, let Yang Qingyin leave too, keeping only Luo Ziling.

“I underestimated you,” Yang Yuanshan squinted at Luo Ziling, “Nobody would expect someone so young to have such a ruthless heart.”

Yang Yuanshan’s words made Luo Ziling’s heart skip a beat.
