After a brief pause, he lowered his voice, “I heard Ishihara Tarou invited you to his home this afternoon?”

“Yes,” Luo Ziling did not deny it, “Originally, he planned to invite us to dinner tonight, but because of the embassy’s banquet, it was changed to afternoon tea.”

“It looks like the afternoon tea went well.”

“Indeed,” Luo Ziling nodded, “Ishihara Tarou’s ancestors came to Japan during the Ming Dynasty due to the Japanese pirates. He might be a descendant of Huaxia people involved in piracy. “I’ll ask her tonight,” Ouyang Feifei replied meaningfully, “If she comes tomorrow, I might stay in Tokyo for a few more days and not head to Seoul with you.”

“Looks like my mom’s more important than me.”

Ouyang Feifei cast a sidelong glance at Luo Ziling without explaining further.
