Chapter 1799: Chapter 1799: Never Dreamed of It

Lin Lan didn’t follow Luo Ziling inside the house; she left after talking about her matters.

She was embarrassed to face Luo Liansheng and Ling Ruonan.

Fearless in many situations, Lin Lan found herself under tremendous pressure when meeting Luo Ziling’s mother and grandfather, feeling completely uncomfortable. Thus, after explaining her business, she hurriedly excused herself, claiming she had other tasks to attend to.

Afterwards, Luo Ziling returned home.

Luo Liansheng was sitting alone in the living room drinking tea, while Ling Ruonan and Luo Yuqing seemed to have gone to tidy up in the kitchen.

Luo Ziling immediately relayed what Lin Lan had told him earlier and explained the plans they had discussed.

“Haha, taking them to the Northeast is indeed a good idea. You’re too busy to manage them during this period anyway. After I leave, it’ll also serve to make the Yang Family a bit anxious.” Luo Liansheng immediately agreed with Luo Ziling’s suggestion after hearing it, “Since you need to go gather some herbs anyway, and it’s been a while since I went out, it will be good for my health. You, on the other hand, should stay, and we’ll gather herbs in the Northwest together during the summer break, as you’ve already planned to go then, haven’t you?”

“Okay, I’ll listen to grandpa,” Luo Ziling replied, feeling relieved.

“As for the treatment for Yang Qingye and Huang Chen’s mother, I’ll arrange it before going, so don’t worry about it. For the next two months, try not to treat others. If you do have to help someone, avoid using acupuncture. Understand? Right now, you need to focus on your energy recovery, which will take at least two to three months.” Luo Liansheng lowered his voice but spoke earnestly, “During these months, try to refrain from sexual activity, as it could be detrimental to your health. Understand?”

Luo Ziling blushed, but he understood his grandfather’s intentions. He nodded earnestly, “Grandpa, I’ve noted your instructions.”

He didn’t elaborate with Luo Liansheng but instead called Wang Zhenjun in and instructed him to accompany Luo Liansheng to the Northeast in a couple of days, bringing a few more people along. Wang Zhenjun understood Luo Ziling’s intention and promptly agreed, saying he would begin arrangements immediately.

Luo Ziling also instructed Wang Zhenjun to move the acupuncture bronze man to another location to prevent theft.

Upon receiving Luo Ziling’s instructions, Wang Zhenjun promptly began making arrangements.

The next day, Luo Ziling visited the medical building, which had begun full-scale renovations.

Luo Ziling hadn’t been around for several days, and everyone already knew the reason. Seeing him appear safe and sound today surprised everyone. However, what shocked them more was the announcement Luo Ziling made. They couldn’t have expected that he would so quickly change plans and have them follow Luo Liansheng to the Northeast to gather herbs.

“You’re not going?” Dong Xiaowan asked Luo Ziling, a bit surprised. “Weren’t you going to guide us in learning things?”

“Being able to work with my grandpa, don’t you think it’s an honor? He’s like Feng Qingyang, a highly skilled master, and compared to him, I’m far behind. So, you must treasure this opportunity.” Luo Ziling didn’t hide his physical condition, “I’ve been injured recently, and my qi and blood circulation are a bit chaotic, thus making it difficult for me to venture into the deep mountains. Come summer, I’ll take you all to the Northwest to gather herbs and climb Tianshan.”

“Really?” Hearing Luo Ziling say he’d take them to Tianshan, Dong Xiaowan’s eyes lit up with excitement, “Will you really take us to Tianshan?”

“If nothing unexpected happens, we will go!”

“Isn’t that just nonsense?” Dong Xiaowan pouted slightly, muttering dissatisfiedly, “Casually finding an excuse means unexpected.”

Luo Ziling pretended not to hear her and continued to announce the arrangements.

Having agreed with Luo Liansheng the night before, departure was set for two days later. Luo Ziling thus instructed them to put aside their current work and prepare for the trip to the Northeast. Even though many knew Luo Ziling had a special purpose for suddenly arranging the Northeast trip, they asked no further questions and went to prepare after receiving instructions.

After Luo Ziling had finished instructing, as he was about to leave, Dong Xiaowan caught up with him.

“I want to know the real intention behind suddenly sending us to the Northeast.” Dong Xiaowan stubbornly looked at Luo Ziling, “I know you have a motive for such an arrangement.”

“We need to produce some medicines, so we have to go to the Northeast to gather herbs in the early spring. It’s as simple as that.” After saying this, Luo Ziling solemnly told Dong Xiaowan, “Girls shouldn’t be so curious about everything; it’s not beneficial for you, understand?”

Saying this, he walked off before Dong Xiaowan could react.

Luo Ziling’s attitude infuriated Dong Xiaowan, and she continued to stomp and scold him after he left.

Tonight, Luo Ziling had a special seminar hosted by the Yan University Student Union.

Luo Ziling originally didn’t want to bother with such things, but since Luo Yuqing was organizing it, he eventually didn’t decline.

Due to Luo Ziling’s rising fame, once the seminar was announced, many expressed their intention to attend.

With so many wanting to participate, the organizers had no choice but to implement a ticketed entry system.

The venue chosen was the Ten Thousand People Auditorium, which could seat over eleven thousand people.

Even so, many who wanted to attend the seminar couldn’t get in.

Luo Yuqing personally served as the on-site host. The report had officials from the Health and Family Planning Commission and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration Bureau, along with most of the school’s leaders in attendance.

Luo Ziling naturally was not afraid of the stage; he quickly got into the swing of things. After briefly discussing his trips to Japan and South Korea and their exchanges in traditional medicine, he eloquently shared his principles and insights in traditional medicine, as well as what he had learned since childhood.

A seminar of this level certainly couldn’t be broadcast on TV, but there were many live streams online.

With mobile phones being so convenient, many people had their live stream channels on streaming platforms, enabling those unable to enter the venue to witness the seminar through other’s live feeds. There were numerous posts on the campus network forum, with live thread posts rapidly accumulating views and replies.

News of the seminar also quickly appeared on Luo Ziling’s Weibo, and soon his seminar became a hot topic online.

Luo Ziling’s insights on traditional and modern medicine, and his hope for their seamless integration, gave many people a refreshing perspective.

“We all know our Ziling brother isn’t just a pretty face, but we didn’t expect his professional knowledge to be this rich. I wonder if Ziling brother will stay and teach at the university after graduating; if he does, I’ll definitely apply here.” This was a comment from a high school student.

A soon-to-graduate university student commented: “Ziling brother, I’m about to graduate from the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Are you accepting postgraduate students? If you are, I’ll definitely apply under you. I believe there’s more to learn from you. I also aspire to be a successor of the Taiyi Divine Needle.”

“Brother Ziling, I want to follow you into the mountains to collect herbs. You’ll definitely take care of me.” This was a wish from a dreamy female traditional medicine doctor.

The seminar greatly enhanced his reputation, leading many to gain a new appreciation for traditional medicine, a development Luo Ziling never imagined in his wildest dreams.
