Chapter 2273: 2273: Scheming Thoughts

Capítulo 2273: Chapter 2273: Scheming Thoughts

Ling Ruonan actually said something like this, leaving Luo Ziling utterly speechless.

Ling Ruonan didn’t say anything further, just quietly watched Luo Ziling.

“Mom, why did you say that about me?” Luo Ziling finally chuckled, “I just couldn’t stand Yan Shiliang’s superior attitude, so I acted arrogantly once. Actually, I don’t want to cooperate with them; working with them will definitely bring a lot of trouble.”

“You did it on purpose, intentionally provoking Yan Shiliang.” Ling Ruonan looked at Luo Ziling expressionlessly, “You know that if you clash with Yan Shiliang, it will surely alert people at higher levels. Last time in front of Wang Zhengqiang, someone already mentioned your father’s issues and exposed your cooperation with Dragon Rise. You know that if you anger Yan Shiliang, they will definitely seize the opportunity for revenge. You also saw your grandfather’s stance that night; your father is someone he arranged, and if your father is in trouble, your grandfather will definitely intervene personally.”

“Mom, why are you so clear about everything?” Luo Ziling wasn’t surprised that Ling Ruonan could think of these things, so he smiled awkwardly, “I was just acting on impulse. Even if I didn’t do this, they would target Dragon Rise and my father anyway; I just shortened their preparation time a bit.”

“I didn’t expect you to be so cunning!” Ling Ruonan rolled her eyes at Luo Ziling.

Ling Ruonan showed this expression, threw daggers with her eyes, and Luo Ziling heaved a sigh of relief.

He stood up, walked behind Ling Ruonan, and started massaging her shoulders.

“Mom, you must be tired today, let me massage you.” While massaging, Luo Ziling chuckled, “Mom, actually I didn’t expect things to suddenly become so troublesome. Their actions were quite quick, quicker than we expected, catching us off guard. These people are a bit like cornered dogs.”

“Why didn’t you tell Mom when planning these things?” Ling Ruonan raised her eyes, glaring at Luo Ziling somewhat irritably, “Do you feel like you’ve grown up and don’t need Mom anymore? Humph, always so reckless, what if things get out of control one day?”

“Mom, that should not happen!”

“If your grandfather hadn’t intervened personally today, and they couldn’t produce concrete evidence proving your dad’s dereliction or any shady dealings by Phoenix, do you think today’s issues would be so easily resolved?” Ling Ruonan’s words still carried reproach.

“Mom, can you explain the details to me, I haven’t figured out what happened yet!” After massaging Ling Ruonan a few times, Luo Ziling sat back down across from her.

“Today, the inspection department initiated major case investigation procedures. Your dad and Li Haiyang, as the current and former heads of Dragon Rise, were summoned by the inspection department to answer questions. Phoenix, who actually handled this matter, was taken by the inspectors. Once your grandfather paid personal attention to the matter, they quickly investigated the situation, and eventually allowed several parties involved to return to their stations.” After explaining the general situation, Ling Ruonan continued, “Li Haiyang is likely to come looking for you, he’s definitely not going to swallow this easily, and will likely cause a scene at the military department.”

“It’s actually a good thing!” Luo Ziling smiled, “Li Haiyang causing a scene will surely give many people headaches; perhaps someone will end up shooting themselves in the foot! By the way, Mom, who do you think instructed Wu Jiangshan to do this?”

“It’s not necessarily anyone instructing him; it might be Wu Jiangshan’s own decision. Everything could simply be mutual exploitation, suppressing dissent.” After sharing her guess, Ling Ruonan earnestly advised Luo Ziling, “Many things aren’t just black and white, nor does something happening mean someone wants to destroy you. Downfalls and joint attacks often happen. Of course, this could also be a signal, even a direct order, from someone of higher rank, subtly acting out while following ordered actions.”

“If it’s another person’s direct or indirect instruction, who do you think it would be?” Luo Ziling asked again.

“All possibilities exist, but this is no longer the most important matter. The most important thing is your grandfather stepped in. Since he stepped in, whether others will stand up to criticize him or oppose him counts. If this happens, things get even more complicated!” Ling Ruonan looked at Luo Ziling worriedly, couldn’t help but complaining, “You, rushing things. Your ideas are good, calculated to corner Yan Shiliang, forcing your grandfather’s involvement, but have you thought that you calculated so many people, they all know your mind, aware of your intentions. Being calculated by a mere little person like you, they are surely resentful. Even your grandfather might harbor such thoughts. If he grows tired of you, then what?”

“Mom, a setback sometimes is a blessing in disguise. Since things have turned this way, worrying doesn’t help. Each result has pros and cons, which is quite normal. Perhaps the grandfather will view me differently, others will be more cautious of us.” Luo Ziling said and smiled again, “Mom, I think, since the grandfather intervened explicitly, and my dad and Phoenix made no missteps, the matters regarding Dragon Rise can be concluded after this incident. My dad might secure his position within Dragon Rise.”

Ling Ruonan thought long before sighing, “Hopefully, it turns out as you say.”

“Mom, what do we do next?”

Ling Ruonan thought for a while, then softly instructed, “Keep your activities from being known as much as possible. Contact with others should be discreetly done. Don’t engage with Dragon Rise people for the time being. If Li Haiyang seeks you out at the military department, you can go boldly.”

“Okay, I’ll remember your instructions!” Luo Ziling nodded firmly.

Ling Ruonan added, “Tonight, I’ll visit your grandfather. Not checking in with him seems odd given the circumstances. You needn’t come, tend your own matters. However, be careful not to leave vulnerabilities; many are undoubtedly watching us closely, even tailing us. Every move we make is likely being monitored, so caution is paramount!”

Luo Ziling naturally nodded in agreement.

Ling Ruonan didn’t say anything more.

“Mom, if it turns out we’ve done no wrong and were maliciously framed, then I believe we shouldn’t let it slide.” Seeing Ling Ruonan’s shocked expression, Luo Ziling finally plucked up the courage to share his thoughts, “I think we should retaliate, bringing those who accuse us without basis to justice. Weed out the dark-hearted ones in Dragon Rise too.”

Luo Ziling’s words left Ling Ruonan astounded.
