“Have you found out anything?” Luo Ziling asked softly when he saw Yang Xiaodong coming over after they entered the house, “Who instigated them?”

“One of them said it was Ling Zhengping who instigated them to plan the assassination,” Yang Xiaodong replied in a low voice as well, “But after checking the situation, I found something fishy. What this person said about Ling Zhengping doesn’t match up with what we know, and he claims he contacted Ling Zhengping directly but doesn’t know Ling Zhengping’s number.”

“So, you think this is a framing operation?”

Yang Xiaodong nodded.

“What about the other one?” Luo Ziling asked again.

“The other confessed that someone from the Fang Family instigated them, aiming to kill you!” Yang Xiaodong looked at Luo Ziling with a peculiar expression, “From my guess, this could likely be the same kind of event, with the aim of slandering the Fang Family!”

After expressing his judgment, Yang Xiaodong also presented the reasons and evidence for his suspicion.

This person claimed it was Fang Xiang and Fang Dongxun who ordered them to plan an assassination on Luo Ziling, promising a reward of millions. But this person didn’t know how many associates he had, with inconsistencies in the numbers he mentioned each time, and he couldn’t contact anyone.

“The Fang Family offering millions for your head really underestimates you, and the situation he described is full of contradictions,” Yang Xiaodong summarized his suspicions again, saying these two events might be deliberately fabricated by someone, intending to escalate things and direct hate towards Ling Zhengping and the Fang Family.

Before Luo Ziling could respond, Wuyue stepped forward, prepared to inquire about the matter herself.

Luo Ziling did not stop her and allowed Wuyue to proceed.

“What do you think is the most likely outcome of these two being captured?” Luo Ziling asked Yang Xiaodong.

Yang Xiaodong didn’t hesitate to share all his thoughts, “I think it’s most likely the same person orchestrated both incidents, meaning both individuals were arranged by the same person. The arranger could be the Chen Family, possibly the Fang Family, the Yang Family, or even Ling Zhengping. They might not intend to kill you but deliberately allowed these individuals to get caught by us, so we’d make the wrong judgment.”

Luo Ziling pondered for a moment and lightly nodded.

The possibility of a crook crying catch-thief isn’t ruled out; all the people Yang Xiaodong just mentioned could have a hand in it, and he couldn’t deduce anything from what Yang Xiaodong said.

Yang Xiaodong added, “From all the circumstances, I think those sent to assassinate you were likely just locals hired for the job, not professional killers. Whoever orchestrated this, I don’t think they truly wanted to kill you, but instead are toying with you or making things more complicated!”

After some thought, Luo Ziling shared his own ideas, “Is it possible that someone wanted to kill me but first hired the locals as a test, saw our swift reaction, then abandoned the idea? “Young Master, the possibilities you mentioned are all plausible!” Yang Xiaodong said a tongue-twister before laughing, “But I think, in Hengdian, you certainly won’t run into any trouble.”

After a little while, Wuyue also returned.

She shared the details of her interrogation and her speculations.

Wuyue also believed it was a deliberate setup or self-framing act, aiming to mess with Luo Ziling and deny him and his associates peace.

“Surprising, not only are the actors in Hengdian Film City skilled at acting, but quite a few good actors are around us!” Luo Ziling chuckled and asked Yang Xiaodong and Wuyue, “Who do you think is the most likely director behind this scene?”

Yang Xiaodong said the Chen Family was most likely behind it, but Wuyue thought it was Ling Zhengping, and the two had a brief argument over it.

Luo Ziling laughed and stopped their dispute, then shared his plan, “We might not end up knowing who the real instigator is, but since it’s not that big of a deal, we can find a way to send these two to Yanjing and let Ling Zhengping and the Fang Family investigate it themselves.”

“That’s a good idea!” Yang Xiaodong agreed with Luo Ziling, “Sending them to Yanjing can check Ling Zhengping and the Fang Family while making the matter more sensational, reaching more people!”

Wuyue didn’t oppose it either.
