Chapter 403: Chapter 215: Seize the Opportunity to Make a Fortune, Finally Became a B-level Life Form!_2
"Thereâs a chance heâs just deceiving Wu Yanqing," the intelligence officer reminded.
"It doesnât matter, we can agree to his terms," Asimara shook her head.
"Okay, I will change course and head for the Land of Stars as soon as I can, it should take about ten days to get there."
Ten days? Li Ming sneered. Are they not planning to fulfill their promise of the main cannon?
That wonât do.
"Then you might need to lay low a bit in the Land of Stars. Iâm still on my way there, and it would take about fifteen days to arrive."
Asimaraâs face darkened slightly, and Alik felt the situation was tricky, "If thatâs the case, and he doesnât see the gun turret, wouldnât he realize thereâs a problem?"
Asimara didnât want to fulfill the promise of the turret; thatâs why she proposed an earlier time, only to find out that this guy was still on his way to the Land of Stars?
"Letâs leave it at that, agree to it," Asimara hesitated before making up her mind.
"Fine."
With just one word, Li Ming finally showed a smile. He guessed that Asimara had originally planned to use him to meet with Wu Yanqing and then ambush them.
"Secrets must be kept alone; in their minds, even if I tell the Azure Dragon, itâs impossible for me to tell Ulrich and the others."
But now, the Theo incident disturbed Asimaraâs arrangements, forcing her to offer an extra main ship gun.
Li Ming muttered to himself, "Now there are two chances for an ambush. I wonder which one you will choose."
...
"Commander, if itâs just Li Ming alone, do we still need Tiago? You promised quite a few benefits to the Borneost Civilization for his deployment," Alik said in a hushed tone.
"Itâs better to be safe than sorry; we must ensure that we can catch these two people. I even feel that an A-Level life form isnât enough," Asimara said, shaking her head.
"Tiago has prepared Advanced EMP Bombs and Magnetic Nanointerrupters, all targeted at this individual."
"Moreover, his mecha outfitting also takes time; he is merely a B-Level life form. Although an A-Level life form accompanied the Azure Dragon when leaving the Steel Castle, as long as we move quickly, they wouldnât be able to stop us."
Alik flattered, "Your plan is flawless."
"And due to greed, regarding the secrets of the Ascender Relics, even if Li Ming tells the Azure Dragon, the Grand Mechanic will not possibly tell others."
"Perhaps, the Azure Dragon will try everything to shake off the trackers and go alone."
"No, tell Tiago that the plan has changed. Donât pick the moment when we meet Wu Yan, choose when the Black Hole Network delivers the goods," Asimara suddenly said.
"Change the plan?" Alik was puzzled, "Isnât it good as it is?"
Asimara said indifferently, "This main cannon is definitely intended for some sort of modification by the Azure Dragon, and its importance isnât too great."
"To avoid interference from Ulrich and the others, thereâs a chance the Azure Dragon wonât show up; the person receiving the goods will be only Li Ming himself."
"If the Azure Dragon does show up, weâll proceed as originally planned." Plans canât keep up with changes; Asimara thought there was more room for maneuver this way.
"Your wisdom shames me," Alik complimented, then went off to convey the commands under Asimaraâs indifferent gaze.
Asimaraâs eyes were deep; if they werenât so far from the Land of Stars, she wouldnât have to go through so much trouble.
That battle recording had spread far and wide; if they didnât act ahead of time, they might not even get a soupçon of the outcome.
"How could there suddenly appear such a grand mechanic..."
...
In the following period, Feder sought out Li Ming several times, exchanging some trivial information.
Most importantly, he told him about spending a huge sum to purchase the Main Ship Gun that he needed from the Black Hole Network.
He complained a lot, which made Li Ming click his tongue in wonder, without mentioning the secrets hidden between him and Feder. The way they spoke was just too similar.
As for Wu Yanqing, he hasnât contacted him much, which was very much in line with his character.
Before one knew it, twelve days had passed. Ulrichâs Steel Castle had been mostly repaired, although some of the more severely damaged areas couldnât be easily fixed; they were just left untouched for the time being.
While developing the Genetic Seed, Li Ming was also organizing himself, trying to create some things with the [Material Reorganization Machine], planning the Control System for Level B life forms.
In the room, various Elemental Energies were surging across the surface of Li Mingâs skin.
Until a certain moment, as if a limit had been reached, the energies surged dramatically and then gradually vanished.
Li Ming slowly opened his eyes, a trace of long-missed excitement crossing his face, following days of non-stop development.
The progress of his Genetic Seed development had finally reached 100%. He didnât even need to test it; the familiar sense of swelling in his body confirmed it for him.
He had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Without any hesitation, a slender metal tube appeared in his handâit was the [Red Lotus Thunder Dragon] Genetic Seed.
He had shown it to Saber; there were no problems with this Genetic Seed.
The sharp needle pierced his skin, the icy liquid merged into his bloodstream, then quickly flowed into his heart before spreading throughout his body.
Li Ming closed his eyes slightly, feeling his skin burning hot as if on fire, cells in his body instantly running rampant, like ignited fuel oil, bursting forth with explosive strength far more intense than normal.
Beneath the reddened skin, veins bulged, entwined and knotted, muscles as hard as stone.
Boom!
An overwhelming burst of Elemental Energies exploded from within Li Ming, like a thunderous tsunami, with a deafening roar.
On the ground and the walls, streaks of scorched traces were whipped out, fizzling audibly.
Li Ming opened his eyes, to see before him a red ocean, interwoven with lightning and fire, as cells underwent a violent metamorphosis, merging with the new Genetic Seed, causing deeper transformations.
The [Mimic Mask] flickered uncertainly, as if unable to withstand the impact.
"Is it making such a big noise?" Enduring the pain of genetic transformation, the [Feros War General Level Mecha] emerged around Li Ming, encapsulating his body.
However, this was just the beginning. The icy Genetic Seed roamed and dissolved throughout his body, but a certain power hidden deep within his genes surfaced out of nowhere.
Meeting with the Genetic Seed, they interacted like fire oil, resulting in an indescribable transformation and then bursting forth with an even more intense force.
That was the residual power of the [Casablanca Flower] intercepted by the [Genetic Warrior].
This was the last thought in Li Mingâs mind; he tried his best to switch to [Controlled Objects], then used [Battlefield Medical Care] for reinforcement.
After that, he was engulfed by intense pain. Red electrical arcs continuously surged out from the gaps in the mecha, entwined with flames and purple ripples, melting the ground.
Bang!
The door was smashed open, with Ulrich, Sandro, and Theo standing in a row, expressions of astonishment on their faces.
"What is he doing?" Sandro, with a puzzled face, looked at the metallic mecha and tried to call out to him, but received no response.
"The intensity of this energy... feels like itâs out of control." Theo casually captured a spark, "Itâs just average, at best."
"There shouldnât be any accidents, right?" Ulrichâs expression flickered.
"The master is experimenting with something, please do not disturb," suddenly, a mechanical body in the corner spoke.
"Experimenting with something? Are you sure?" Sandro measured him up and down, "Why hasnât he responded?"
"Youâre expecting me to respond?" A cold voice suddenly came from inside the mecha, "You guys really do care about me. The slightest commotion and you come to check."
"Good to know that thereâs no problem." Sandro didnât mind, while Ulrich looked a bit perplexed but only glanced twice.
The three left the room.
Inside the mecha, Li Ming gasped for air, the transformations in his body still ongoing, but the most painful moment had passed.
Two more hours passed, and the mecha on him disappeared suddenly. What was reflected in his eyes was a body that seemed to be cast from pure gold.
Not bulky nor overly lean, appearing to approach some sort of perfect proportion. As he stretched his fingers, the air flowed like water, seemingly ready to burst with a slight squeeze.
The feeling of the life level leaping was incomparable, his body extremely light yet filled with a sense of power, having broken the shackles of his body, a vast and seemingly endless Evolution Path lay at his feet.
Taking a long breath, the air mixed with tiny particles of electrical sparks instantly burst throughout the room.
